I was on a 'wait' list for a new doctor. I was contacted and advised there was a new doctor starting Oct 1, 2018. I booked and was told I would be his first appointment. I then received a call to ask that I be there 10 minutes prior to my 1:00pm appt. I arrived at exactly 12:50 but there was no-one manning the receptionist desk so I waited. About 3-4 mins passed and finally I was acknowledged. My info was already in the system as I see another specialist there. I filled out a form and passed it in by 1:00pm. Another girl came in, went to the bathroom and was immediately escorted to a waiting room. I assumed she was there to see another doctor. Then another patient came in saying he was seeing the same doctor as me at 1:15. He was asked to complete the same form. By 1:13, I asked if the doctor knew I was there as I was supposedly his first patient. The receptionist checked her computer and said because I was late, I was basically bumped. What!! She obviously confused me with the girl that WAS late. She said no. She finally escorted me to a room saying her computer said I arrived at 12:57 for my 1pm appt so I was 'late'. I was handing in my form by that time! I was so mad I left and ripped up the form I had completed. They give you their rules about arriving on time and not missing appointments and yet there is nothing we can do when they provide lazy inadequate service other than to walk away which is what I did.
