They incorrectly report accounts, and place you on hold after hold eventually just ending the call. Sadly going to have to get a FCRA attorney involved.
I don t see how banks nor institutions hire them to collect on accounts when they can t even handle a simple settlement.
My son went to palm beach state college right after high school in aug 2018. And ended up leaving to Paris islands in November because he had decided to join the marines. He spent 3 months in boot camp and was stationed in Okinawa Japan shortly after therefore he did not have a chance to finish his classes. We did not find out until two years later that the school had sold his account to a debt collection agency named conserve. I checked his credit sure enough it was there and he was unable to sign up for classes while he was overseas. I reached out to conserve and paid the account in full so demanded a written letter stating that the account is closed and it has been unsuccessful. My son logged in to the school site the balance is still there although I was told by the person who took the last payment that it would be updated it the school site as well. That was a lie. I was transferred to several quote on quote managers which I doubt were actually managers. I asked to speak to the person above that was denied. At this point I don t know what to do. I even told them that I don t mind hoping on a plane to go get if it s such a hassle for them to email me that letter. This is the worse place ever and I also told the school about them as well.

I thought they were great! They offered payment arrangements that were VERY accommodating. Whenever I had a question about the status of my account they answered it quick and accurately. Best debt collector I've ever dealt with!
I have had an amazing experience with Conserve. I had a rough patch in the financial part of my life and my loans ended up defaulting. For the last year my wages have been garnished. It has been horrible. I got a call from Matt S. at Conserve and he told me that his job was to get me into a repayment program NOT to collect money. Instantly, I felt more comfortable talking to him because I didn't have the money, obviously or I would not have been in this situation in the first place. He said there were three programs: one was to pay it off entirely with a discount, second was to make three installments to pay it off, and the third was to make payments based on income. I ended up doing the program based on household income. I now pay $5 a month, my wages are no longer garnished, AND the default is going to be lifted from my credit report. Which means I can go back to school. I am so glad that my loans were sent to ConServe, I would have never gotten them paid off and having your wages garnished is definitely not fun!!
If you google the name ConServe it will tell you exactly why the are calling and who they are working for. They are accredited with right association's as well. I am a past employee of the company and I can tell you its not a scam. Very solid company to work for that offers great benefits.
Trash company. This is predatory business. Do not pay them anything.
