Our family has become involved in so many ways in this community!
CBE is not only a center of Jewish faith, learning, and social action - it's also a place to develop deep friendships and have lots of fun! For example, there's a very active Brotherhood that hosts great breakfast speakers, plays softball and billiards, delivers bagels, brews beer, hosts the Purim Carnival, ...
Friendly and vibrant community. Very Inclusive of everybody. Lots of programs with an active community.
Our family has been so lucky to find a home at CBE in Acton. My kids love coming to Religious School each week and truly feel connected to their Jewish peers in the area and are proud of their heritage. For my husband and I, CBE has been a place to make friends, get involved in community service, and worship in an open, caring and dynamic environment. We are very excited about Rabbi Mike Rothbaum and look forward to make more years of continued involvement.
CBE has been my spiritual home for almost 30 years, and I cannot imagine a more welcoming community. We have just said good-bye to Lewis Mintz, our beloved rabbi of 40 years, and now welcome Rabbi Michael Rothbaum! The times, they are a changin'!
CBE has been a wonderful community for our family since my son was in preschool. He's made lifelong friendships, and my husband and I have loved having such diverse ways to get involved, from social events to social action. Rabbi Mike Rothbaum has an incredible ability to connect with congregants of any age from all faith backgrounds, but it's especially meaningful to see him energize the kids and get them excited about Judaism. CBE is truly a special place.
The Early Learning Center is a hidden gem in Acton! With flexible family schedules; keypad secured access; warm, nurturing, experienced staff; and a fantastic outdoor play space. You should come visit!
We've been members of Beth Elohim for over 20 years and think of CBE as our home away from home. Even more important, we consider many of our fellow members to be part of our extended family. We have truly enjoyed having Rabbi Mintz as our rabbi (and now Emeritus Rabbi) but we are really excited about our new Rabbi, Michael Rothbaum, and all the energy he is bringing to our congregation.
We absolutely Love Rabbi Mike he's an exceptional human being who genuinely cares about people and from my experience is unique in his approach to an inclusive Jewish community. New membership is grossly needed to help support this Young Rabbi who the old guard of this community seems at times to be at a loss to know what a Rabbi's job is and how ideals of what a modern family oriented Jewish community should be. This community is welcoming to famlies and has a Hebrew school with a dynamic education program for both children and adults.
