Finally tried this place after so long of wanting to! Did not disappoint. Husband and I went for lunch and then the next day picked up breakfast - each meal was SO good. Will be driving to Canmore just for their food! Amazing!

Amazing!!! I looked up this place while doing my usual foodie research for a quick trip to Banff and Canmore. From the online menu I knew I had to come here, and boy am I glad I did. This cafe is perfect for anyone wanting a break from all the burgers and steak the region has to offer. I personally was craving a healthy eating day after a few days in Banff.
The place is bright and modern with sofas and regular tables. The service is very quick and extremely friendly. I had a very hard time deciding what to order because everything including the daily specials looked amazing. I settled on the Mega Fresh Bowl with extra goats cheese and the tahini garlic dressing (which I was told is a local favourite). I also got a cream of Earl Grey London Fog. Fortunately for me they had both almond and soy milk for all their coffee and tea selections. If you're a tea enthusiast, this place will not disappoint as they carry an awesome selection.
My salad was incredible. It was huge but I managed it no problem. Everything was fresh and bright and the dressing was amazing. I also sampled a few of their mini vegan treats- the chocolate macaroon heart particularly stands out.
Overall, Communitea is one of those rare places (in Canada at least) that offers healthy and of-the-moment options (ie. Beet burger!) I would eat here all the time if I could.
Really really loved their burritos!! Also good for take away (not too wet, just perfect, it was our lunch after an hike) The big breakfast bowl.. I d rather call it great or amazing breakfast bowl - it was good quality and yummy, but it was not really big. Could be a bit misleading for hungry people.. all in all, great place, eat there if you re in town :)
This restaurant is a staple of any trip we make to the mountains - whether our final destination is Canmore or not. Their menu is clear and easy to understand, with helpful labels denoting which items are dairy-free, vegan, and gluten free. They offer plenty of customization options so you can make your meal fit into your diet or preferences. Every time I come here, the staff are incredibly kind and the cafe is very clean. Their food is AMAZING! Particularly the avocado toast, and the smoothie bowl for breakfast items!
One of my favourite spots to stop for gluten free fare. Their breakfast wraps on gluten free rice wraps are so yummy. The lovely people who work there make it an absolute joy to visit. We will keep coming back every time we visit Canmore.
Today, we discovered the most delicious place. Communitea has gluten-free, vegan, dairy free options, as well as dairy friendly, full of fibre and gluten, meat delicious options.
Be prepare to come in and be wanting to eat everything you see.
Their range of tea is incredible, as well as their fair trade friendly coffee selection.
The staff are super friendly and willing to accommodate any crazy request.
If you have the opportunity to visit Canmore, do yourself a favour and stop at Communitea for a bite, a drink or just for a snack, even if it is as a take away
Always busy. Great tea selection. Service is on and off, depending on who is working that day. Food is yummy and I love the live music nights they host.
One of the best vegetarian breakfast in Canmore. The avacado toast is amazingly fresh and the bread tastes so healthy and delicious. We were in canmore for 4 days and every single day we came here for breakfast and would also pack the sandwiches (and their delicious banana/chocolate bread) for our hikes. The staff is super friendly, warm and smiling and goes out of the way to help you even when they are very busy in the mornings. Shout out to Dallas for the local tips on hikes
A gem of a place with a nice, bright, inviting atmosphere. Had the breakfast bowl which was an interesting concept and very tasty. Coffee was ok, really good for what I ve had in Canada.
We were stayed in Canmore for the night and came here for a late breakfast. The matcha latte w soy milk was delicious and had adorable milk art on top. We got breakfast burritos which were just the right size and tasted amazing (I've been trying to replicate them since). Liked that there are vegan/veg friendly foods on the menu. Very cute decor, bright and cozy.
The Chinook smoked salmon panini is a timeless classic. The turmeric tea was heart warming in -23 December. Amazing food and great service. Were commin back here for sure!!!
AMAZING. Best spot we ve found in Canmore. Bright and beautiful decor...food presentation is awesome. Vegan burrito was incredible!!! And paper straws!!!!!!! You guys are awesome!!!
Stopped in by chance. First time here. It was very busy, got through the order line quickly, a bit of a wait for the food, but so worth it! SO delicious! Friendly staff. Hubby had Pad Thai and I had the chicken & avocado quesadilla.
Lines are long of weekends but the food was tasty. Portions are a tad lean. Could have just been because it was in the middle of summer at peak season. Atmosphere is nice.
Delicious and varied vegan options! Very large selection of teas. This cafe has a relaxed, open atmosphere and serves high quality food and drink. Sometimes it's very busy, but it's worth the wait. Even during the highest tourist traffic times of the year, it's possible to beat the crowds if you come here at non-peak hours.
Very tasty food with lots of healthy food options! Nicely decorated with good service. It was quite busy when I went but the wait wasn t too long. Would definitely come again.
Very tasty food and coffee. Atmosphere is great same with the staff. A great place for all people to enjoy with options for even people with dietary concerns. Very large selection of teas for all different tastes and times of day. I personally love the rice bowls, never go wrong. My partner had the tofu burrito, highly recommended!!!
This place is amazing. The service is friendly, but a little slow. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could, but it's certainly better than 4 stars.
The atmosphere is light, cheery, and welcoming. They serve all kinds of gluten free options, vegan and vegetarian as well. The delivery was a touch slow, but very delicious. I was originally looking for a standard "bacon n eggs" but was sold on the "Big Breakfast Bowl" + Bacon. I ate every last bit.
The tea selection is impressive, and they have a full coffee bar if tea isn't your thing.
The food was excellent. The teas were a bit stale and they messed up my order and I had to get another tea. The staff was nice. They could work on their tea and the overall atmosphere. It seemed like it needed to be tidied and cleaned (tables etc).
We've stayed in Canmore for a month and this cafe is our favorite. The food and drinks are fabulous all the time. The precautions to keep us safe in Covid 19 times were reassuring and efficient. Great pleasure to meet kind staff too. Thank you!!!
Really nice people. A veriety of seats from kids to adults and floor to chairs to couches and coffee tables. My only disapointnent is the north east orientation. I miss the sunlight. Now come summer i may really enjoy the cool. What to do? Order a taller coffee perhaps.
If you are looking for a friendly, vegan, healthy place to eat, snack or/and have a hot or cold beverage, this is your place to go to. During my stay in Canmore, I got to visit this place more than once. Keep up the amazing work!!
We felt so comfortable here. Delicious bowls, good coffee and the cinnamon bun is the crowning glory. We have been here several times because it was so good! The homemade lemonade is also recommended! Vegan really delicious here.
A must for anyone visiting Canmore! I make a point of stopping in every time I even just drive through. Awesome coffee, snacks and meals plus a great atmosphere. If you haven't been here yet, stop wasting time and go!!!
Great food, lots of tea selection. It was incredibly busy when I was there and it was hard to find seating. Naturally, it took a lot of time to get our food. There were also lots of families with small children.
