The french toast is AMAZING! The homemade hot sauce is AMAZING! I took two bottles home.

Been going to this place since I can remember. Great food at a great price.

Visiting from out of town and im glad we found this place...food was delicious...we at here twice..can be busy but we got serviced quickly both times..i think some of the waitresses need an adjustment in behavior but overall this place is worth eating at!

Had the special breakfast there this morning. Worst ever. Eggs overcooked, shells in the eggs, and home fries from maybe last week. YUCK

My three egg omelet was tasty. Pigs-and-a-blanket was also delicious.

Did not enjoy this place. When you walk in your overcome with a smell like subway bathroom smell. They do have a good deal on a breakfast bundle but when I received mine I had two eyelashes sitting right on top of my potatoes. Really gross.

Always good pancakes. Portions have gotten smaller, though.

Well worth the 15 minute drive from Kalahari. $5.25 weekday breakfast special was perfect. Our waitress Jackie was friendly, fast and professional.
Fed the family for the price of 1 resort breakfast.

It would have been nice if our plates of food would have come out at the same time. Other than that it was a good experience. We plan to return.

I love their breakfast food, one of my favorite diners and I am a big diner person! Their food is so yummy and I can't wait to take my little brother here. The employees were so nice with him, he has autism and adhd so he is loud but they accepted him and just joked around! I really suggest coming here for breakfast and getting their coffee. I also love the inside of the building. They can have a wait but it's worth it if you aren't in a rush.

This restaurant serves the best breakfast in the Poconos. They have a good friendly staff and serve large portions. Been going there for years. Highly recommended!!

Loved it. Food was good and decently priced. The steak was overdone but that can be overlooked. The service was the best. Our server was so nice and she kept checking on us. We got a lot of dishes and the bill was reasonable. I happily tipped well and thought it was well deserved. The atmosphere was nice and the tables are blocked off to ensure social distancing. The ambiance was accented with the fireplace and it was just a nice place to have breakfast before our ski trip. Service was quick too. Definitely would go again if I'm in the area.

The food was great!! The service was good. Pretty busy spot but if your looking for some great breakfast this is the spot. This was our first time here from out of town. If we ever come back to the Poconos we will definitely be eating here!

Everything was cold. Chicken was slimy, tenders was fake. Very disappointed, left with a stomachache. 1 star only because the envelope Swiss miss hour chocolate was good. Waitress rude, asked for manager and waitress asked why? Never will we come back!

If I could give a zero rating, I most definitely would! My family of five made it to Compton s at 1pm, they gave us a buzzer and told us the wait would be roughly 30 minutes. We waited over 40 minutes in our car and realized that the buzzer still had not gone off so I went inside to ask why we had not been seated yet and the manager/ owner proceeded to tell me that they were closing up and were not seating anyone. I explained that my family which consists of three children had been waiting for over 40 minutes, the owner who was a woman did not care whatsoever and continued to express that they are closing so I gave her the buzzer that she didn t acknowledge as missing and left. I have come here multiple times but they showed me complete incompetence and I will never support them again.

This was one of the best breakfast places I ve ever been to! The pancakes were so soft and flavorful it was to die for!
Our bill was only $30 and it was 4 of us who ate WELL! I would definitely go back to this place even if I have to go out my way!

Food is usually great but service is horrible. Servers do what they want and sit at customers table when taking orders. It used to be worth the wait but not anymore. Also they never accept credit cards any more. They say their machine is always broken

Food was fantastic and server was friendly but slow and sloppy. Cash only on the day of our visit and that was a huge inconvenience.

Diners can be hit or miss. Unfortunately this one was a miss. I really wanted to like it and was expecting to after so many good reviews, but the food was just simply not good. The cheese omelet tasted like old griddled onions, the pancakes tasted like a generic mix, the butter topping was more of a whipped oil topping than butter, and syrup was an overly sweet and slightly watered down artificial syrup, with not even a hint of maple. Real butter and real maple syrup are splurges for some places, I get that. But the quality and taste of this food was no better than a budget hotel continental breakfast. At least it was cheap and service quick and friendly!

Waitresses need to be attentive. Food order was wrong, & when it was "corrected " it was still wrong.

A diner breakfast can't be beat. Simpson's does a great job of nailing a picky order and getting it out quickly. I just wish they updated the menus & coffee mugs a little more often.

Food was at best- decent and a friend of mine ordered the tuna melt. The first tuna melt she received was sent back because it was funky and tasted weird. The second one that they supposedly made fresh came out with hair in it. I would honestly not return to this place.

The food is delicious! Lynette is always a pleasure to have as our waitress!

We got sat next to the kitchen. It seemed like an inconvenience when we asked for kids coloring mats and a menu for the kids. The F bomb is pretty popular at this place. The kitchen staff sounded very abusive. Who I think was the manager wasn't very nice to the waitstaff. Overall, the food was delicious but we rushed out. It wasnt very family friendly.

Calling a local business for food and being told "Not now, we're too busy" and having to ask when to call back to place my order was the most unprofessional way to go about it. A solution would be to take my order and tell me it's busy and it might be a few minutes. After calling back to speak to a manager or owner I went to express how upset I was at our recent call and was told by the "OWNER", before even allowing me to speak, call back at 11. Once I had told her that was not my point in calling she told me they are exhausted and cant take my order. HIGHLY dissatisfied with the way they treat their customers and the way the so called OWNER handled the situation. If I could rate no stars I would. (I'd also like to point out that this was the owners wife, and based on other reviews after reading I am not shocked about my experience)

I really enjoyed the omelette I ordered this morning!!! It was the best omelette i ever had!!! Kudos to the chef Rob!

Two of the wait staff I was not as impressed by. The young girl behind the cash register, she was wearing a chocker do not know her name, was rude and acted like she wanted to be any where else other than helping us with our bill. I had wanted to leave part of the tip to the chef, but she seemed annoyed by the whole prospect. The other waitresses seemed friendly though!!!

Our food in its entirety was pretty good.

Great Food ! Staff could be more professional. Waitress did not write down anything and forgot a few things that were ordered. Staff can be a bit chatty with each other. Other than that??? KEEP UP THE GREAT FOOD!

I like comptons food it is always good. I just wish they would resolve the fruit flies inside restaurant. It's very annoying trying to eat while flies are trying to get in your food. I still go but not as often.

Great spot. Breakfast all day, warm staff and lots of regular customers that go daily.
