I have had 2 scans at The Birth Company and cannot recommend them highly enough. Each time, the Sonographer's have been friendly and talked us through every detail of what they and we were seeing. They really take the time to capture great stills and videos. The service and care they provide is priceless.

Had a reassurance scan at The Birth Company after a light bleed. Managed to get an appointment that day and saw Mr Gibb - he was very thorough and explained where it had come from, which was a huge relief. All measurements taken and lots of helpful information. Even though I wasn't there for photos, managed to get a lovely video of baby sucking its thumb. I also had my early scan here and again, was very pleased and reassured. Very professional and would not hesitate to book again. Thank you!

My husband and I have had an absolutely wonderful experience with The Birth Company. We had an early pregnancy scan, panorama scan and quite a few telephone conversations with expert advice.

Both of our scans were brilliant and advice given helped to eradicate any worries we had, thank you!! We had a lovely sonographer; Shahrzad who kept me upbeat and at ease during scans, such a lovely lady! The admin team are always friendly and super helpful. Also, Kate is absolutely amazing, she really calmed me down after getting an upsetting NHS report.

We have used the Birth Company for scans in conjunction with NHS care. The level of service and standard of care has been fantastic and we have been provided with much needed reassurance which was not forthcoming from the NHS. As an older mother the Harmony scan has given us peace of mind at a stage where the NHS had not even discussed the related issues. I highly recommend their services.

Amazing service! We just did an early pregnancy scan and the whole staff was welcoming and helpful. The sonographer did an incredible work, she showed the baby, measured heart rate, took dimensions and everything else. She was extremely helpful on explaining everything and suggesting the next steps. AAA+

Dr. Gibb was first recommended to me over 8 years ago following two miscarriages. His calm and reassuring manner gave me the confidence to continue trying and two successful pregnancies later, I then went back to have a coil fitted. Again, this was all done without glitches and now, five years after the first one was fitted I have returned for a replacement. I was met with the same warm and reassuring manner. I wish all doctors were like Dr. Gibb!

I saw Kate throughout my first pregnancy and am now doing so again with my second. She is absolutely amazing, she explains everything really clearly, and has answered all sorts of bizarre questions and worries I have had. The Harley Street team is excellent! The sonographers were very professional and explained everything very thoroughly. The reception staff was very helpful especially during the stressful waiting period for the NIPT results. I would definitely recommend The Birth Company!

The most professional team on Harley Street (and we've been to no less than 4 clinics in the area). From the staff that greets you upon entering the clean, modern clinic to Bina Bhawan, our fantastic and knowledgeable sonographer, everyone was attentive, kind and caring. Sadly, all a winning combination highly lacking on Harley Street these days. Highly recommend!

I have been to this clinic twice and had the Harmony test done. Each time that I have been, I have been treated so well as a patient. Great patient care, clear information given with no jargon. They really do take the time to answer any questions I had, and I also felt that they really took the time to check and scan my baby thoroughly even though it was only 10 weeks.
The staff were polite and helpful, and I was really happy for the amount of time it took to receive my results for the rest. All in all a wonderful and proffesional service. I would only go back to this clinic. Thank you.

I went into the Birth Company for a harmony scan and am so glad I did, the whole experience was great. When I called to ask about the test, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful and immediately put me at ease. Booking the appointment was very fast and comprehensive too, great customer service all around. Dr Gibb was excellent - professional, explained everything thoroughly, and had a great bedside manner. The location is great and the facilities were very nice - bright, comfortable and relaxed. Receiving the results from my test was again a great experience, very thorough and considerate too. I would refer anyone to come here and if I need to in the future will definitely visit again.

Extremely satisfied and happy with our choice to trust the Birth Company for all the scans and checks of our baby. Since it was our first one we were quite stressed and we wanted the best service we could get. We bought the gold package and didn't regret it at all. Very clean and relaxing environment & state-of-the-art medical equipment! Katie was an amazing professional and person. She explained everything in detail and she managed to see the baby's sex from the 12th week (and she was right even though everyone else was telling us it was too early for that). I went to The Birthing Company for an early scan, mainly for peace of mind and also because of COVID, my husband can t come into the NHS scan and we wanted to see the baby for the first time together.
I am so glad we made the decision to do this. Shaz was the sonographer and she was great! Really really friendly and talked us through everything in detail. She made us both feel at ease and would 100% recommend Shaz and the birthing company.

We had received possible worrying news from our NHS anomaly scan, without much information provided or confirmation. I am so pleased that we came to the Birth Company for reassurance, as we are now extremely happy that everything is fine. Shahrzad was fantastic and went through the whole anomaly scan thoroughly, explaining everything and looking in detail at each area. We are so thankful to Dr Gibb for his excellent antenatal care and support throughout my pregnancy. The appointments very easy and convenient with a working schedule and we received a scan with a video after each appointment. More importantly, I have no doubt that the arrival of our baby girl was safer and smoother because of his advice. I fully recommend him to anyone who is looking for a seasoned professional to help them throughout pregnancy.

I recently came here for a private anomaly scan after my nhs anomaly scan slightly worried me with the word borderline as the nhs was using a new machine that day I didn t 100% trust there findings so I went straight to Harley street for a second opinion so pleased I did and booked my appointment here I got a last minute appointment within 1 day I couldn t have chose a better place and seen A better person than kate she put my mind to ease straight away reassured me everything was perfect and the previous nhs Anomaly measurements were wrong as we suspected, she was so professional and bubbly made me and my husband feel so comfortable best decision we made getting a second opinion from this place, I was referred for a second scan with the nhs with a consultant in 2 weeks time after the first nhs scan findings l recently just had my 2nd Scan with the nhs and there findings were the same as they birthing company findings so were over the moon everything perfect. for us it was worth every penny paying for private anomaly scan instead of waiting 2 weeks with worry on the nhs we also had some amazing photos and videos with that scan so clear amazing to see baby so clear

We had the harmony test with the Birth Company and had a reassurence scan with sonographer KIrsty McGarry who was absolutely lovely and really put our minds at rest. We had been scared by our NHS dating scan and left feeling like there was something wrong. We explained the situation and was treated very professionally and with good care. Also speedy appointments also as I had phone in the morning and got an appointment by afternoon. So thankful. Ashley and Tom x

Take the wife here for extra scans. Staff are always pleasant and helpful. Under the care of Mr Gibb we have got some great pictures of our child. They also do deals on scan packages to save on costing. Cannot recommend enough!

We attended The Birth Company for scans and care during our recent pregnancy. It was a great experience,everything I wanted and expected from a practice on Harley street. The scanning was done by Melanie, and she was extremely attentive and professional. We had wonderful views of the baby and absolutely loved the ibaby scan(I believe only offered at The Birth Company). It allowed us to share the images and video with our families and when one of your family is based abroad this was particularly amazing for them to share and follow our pregnancy as its developed.We also had the full care from The Birth Company consultant including the birth of our beautiful baby boy. This was truly the most incredible experience in my life as I was fully relaxed because I trusted the doctor completely. We fully recommend this clinic and definitely going back for our next pregnancy!

We had the Safe Test and scan done by Helen Kennett and I must say she was very professional and friendly, and made us feel at ease. She seemed very skilled at doing the ultrasound and I felt like she did her utmost to make sure she checked as much as possible. The whole experience was very positive and I would definitely recommend doing a NIPT test here.

Our baby wasn t in the right position for NT measurements at our NHS scan and they didn t offer a rescan, so booked in immediately with The Birth Company for a scan two days later.

I arrived early, and they saw me early. Very relaxed environment and friendly staff. Got to actually hear the heartbeat as well as see it, saw the blood flow around the heart and through the umbilical cord - loads of stuff that s not included with the NHS scan.

Scan photos printed for me to take away, and before I had even left the building I had an email in inbox with photos and a couple of short videos to share with family & friends.

Bloods taken, and received a phone call within 2 hours with the results of the combined (scan & blood) screening for Down s, Edward s & Patau.

Most of the photos and videos are a little blurred. Did not find one photo which is able to see baby's whole face. Thank you for the follow-up. There are definitely a couple of better photos in the third link. As such, you guys deserve a good rating.

Really friendly, efficient service. Great experience overall. Had the Panorama. My appointment was with Kate who was absolutely fantastic. The results came really quickly. Have a comparison with private healthcare elsewhere and must say that The Birth Company was just how I would like to be treated when I pay for medical services - attentively, calmly, friendly, in a pleasant environment that doesn't look like hospital. This is long overdue. We had a reassurance scan with Senior Sonographer Kate Richardson in early June and I cannot express how professional and caring the service we received was. We had had a scare earlier in the day and Kate did an excellent job of reassuring us and completing a thorough and comprehensive scan. Kate explained every step of the scan and showed us that our baby was safe and sound. She did an excellent job of putting our minds at rest. Our midwife has since seen the details of Kate's scan and remarked at how thorough it was. The key to the service we received at The Birth Company was the care and consideration that was shown to us. Our fears were acknowledged and we were treated with care, consideration and respect. Kate also went that step further by following up with us and showed an obvious commitment to her role and professionalism that you don't really see that often now in the medical profession. I have since recommended The Birth Company to several friends and would whole heartedly recommend it on here to anyone who is looking for a scan at any stage of their pregnancy.

I'm a returning client after several years & i must say how impressed i was with the lovely Carmel's bedside manner & the detailed email with pics & vid of our scan. Their prices seem to be the best too & the fact that they also hold Saturday appointment is always handy. I'm a little saddened that Dr. Donald Gibb is no longer doing deliveries as he delivered our first child but i guess all those years in the business, it's now your time to enjoy the finer things in life as you deserve it.

I was so surprised to see the negative review of the Birth Company below, because my experience has been that the Birth Company is a very caring place and that they excel in terms of obstetric medical care.

I honestly couldn't rate Donald Gibb highly enough - he is an amazing obstetrician who has gone out of his way to support me through very difficult pregnancies. I now have a happy healthy son thanks to him. I know I am not alone in this experience, as he came recommended to me by friends, and I have since recommended him and the Birth Company to others who have had a similar positive experience.

The Birth Company have supported us through both the hardest and happiest times of our lives. Everyone including the receptionists, clinical team and Dr Gibb himself are caring, thoughtful and highly professional. I never feel rushed, I always feel cared for and respected and every question we have ever asked (we always have lots) has been answered in as much detail as we have needed.

I have most of my ante natal care on the NHS, including deliveries, but have had a few consultations and scans at the Birth Company in all of my pregnancies. I normally arrive at consultations feeling anxious and confused and leave feeling reassured and confident that the plan ahead is the right thing for my baby, my family and me. I could not recommend them highly enough.

We booked an appointment at the Birth Company for a nuchal scan after our baby was not in the correct position to take measurements at the NHS scan. We were able to get an appointment the next day and the service we received was excellent. The sonographer explained everything she saw on the scan, giving us lots of additional detail such as the placenta placement and the implications of that etc. We arrived feeling nervous and left reassured with some lovely videos and pictures. The blood results also came back very quickly, they were sent directly to me and I was contacted by phone to talk through the results. Fab service. Thank you!

I can highly recommend the Birth Company. I had all my 3 children with the Birth Company and they were amazing! Donald Gibb was my Obstetrician and he is such a great doctor, he helped me having two normal birth after a c-section. Very caring, supportive, very professional, great service and always there when you needed.
Also the other members of the birth company were really nice and helpful.

I had such a great experience doing my scan here. The Sonographer Karin was wonderful at explaining everything and it didn t feel at all rushed. She really put me at ease. I highly recommend this place.

I'm really happy that I chose The Birth company to do the NIPT. They were amazing, super friendly and could not fault a thing. Kate was amazing and so gentle and kind. After some research and careful consideration, my now 3-year-old son had his first Viability Scan (7-11 weeks), and Nuchal Translucency Scan (11-14 weeks) at The Birth Company, I can confirm that they have excellent ultrasound equipment, professional & helpful staff members. Myself, having a bit of a medical background, a master in Immunology and a broad interest in medicine, I can say that the work they perform is to a high standard from what I have seen, they left a good impression on me, I even considered a career in sonography. A bit of a late review, but they have also been helpful with a recent recommendation made by me, and I am taking the time to write them a good review. Excellent quality in the service they provided us, worth every penny, specially with a potential human life involved. If you'd like some extra reassurance, they provide pictures.

Dr Donald Gibb at The Birth Company looked after me during my second pregnancy. The clinic is first class! It is very modern and the scanning equipment is of high quality. From my early pregnancy scan to the 4d scan, the staff were helpful in every visit. The sonographers are all qualified. During my growth scan I had a slight complication. The sonographer called Dr Donald (the obstetrician) and he put me at ease. All the time there was continuity in care and I felt I was in safe hands. Highly recommended!

I completely trust Dr. Gibb and have had a wonderful experience with everyone at the Birth Company. I recommend them highly and wish I could give them more than five stars. Dr. Gibb is caring and attentive and listened to everything with respect to my birth plan, etc.

We went in for the PANORAMA NIPT by Natera at 10 weeks and were informed after two weeks had passed that something had gone wrong and was indicating a possible high risk for everything. The phone call alerting us to this could have perhaps been phrased better, although it was explained that the 'high risk' result might not be accurate and instead the result of an error with the blood sample. However, to their immense credit, TBC brought me back in that very same day for a redraw/retrest (this time we went with SAFE) and a comprehensive scan to look for any abnormalities or indications that something was amiss. Carmel was just fantastic, a consummate professional, and did wonders for allaying my husband's and my concerns by examining every organ and system possible. When I later had my first NHS scan at 13 weeks, I realised just exactly how fortunate we had been with Carmel, because she was 10x as thorough and 10x and skilled as the sonographer I saw at that appointment. Carmel was able to explain everything she did and saw in a way that was understandable by two non-medical professionals, and her manner was calming and competent. It took another week to get our SAFE results, which would have been very wearing had the scan not been so thorough. I will be highly recommending The Birth Company to any friends or family members who are having a child in future.

I am very happy with the service and care I received at The Birth Company. To avoid a long wait on the NHS, I phoned for a private appointment for an ultrasound to remove a Mirena coil and was seen within 2 days. The procedure was quick and painless and Dr Gibb and the sonographer were extremely reassuring. I would have no hesitation in visiting again and would be happy to recommend to others.

We recently did Panorama test with Shahrzad Khojasteh at the Birth Company. We had great experience with Shahz. She was very detailed and informative but also so positive - she really calmed my nerves during the scan. She talked us through all the details as she was performing the scan which was reassuring. Shahz alos took my bloods and I have to say I didn't feel a think, neither had I any marks or bruising afterwards.

I went to Dr Gibb after having been told by my GP that they couldn't see my coil and I also had constant bleeding from ectropian cervix. I was then told it would be a long wait for a scan on the NHS so a colleague of mine recommended Dr Gibb and I was so glad she did. The premises are lovely and calming as was Dr Gibb, I felt very reassured. He scanned me and saw, in fact, that the coil was in the right place! He removed the coil and treated the ectropian cervix there and then. I went back a month later (after having had the mirena coil prescribed by my GP which I took with me to Dr Gibb which reduced the cost) and Dr Gibb fitted it very quickly with minimal fuss and discomfort. My experience at The Birth Company was brilliant, so different to the NHS clinic in South London where I had the coil fitted originally. I would definitely go back for my next coil fitting!

Absolutely fantastic, lovely place excellent staff and the results from our test came exactly in the time they said it would. We had previously been to a different clinic and had had an awful experience. Once the birth company knew this we had three staff members in the room with us reassuring/supporting us and telling us about the test we were having. They even offered to take and extra sample for a slightly different testing method in case the results from the main test came back inconclusive (as they had done priviously). Cannot thank them enough for being so kind and understanding if you need to have a worrying test or are feeling anxious about anything they are fantastic.

I could not be happier with their service - they provide you with a video of your scan, digital photos and also allow you to film. Service is incredible, everyone very polite and it's so practical to book online. I'll be doing all my pregnancy scans there.

A fantastic experience. I went for a reassurance scan and couldn t have been happier. The equipment was superb, pictures clear, all measurements taken and I left with my mind at rest. Highly reccomend.

I booked a scan at The Birth Company earlier this week as I was 6wks, 4 days & had had 3 previous missed miscarriages. I didn't want the anxiety of waiting for an NHS scan at 10-12 wks. Within seconds Kate spotted a live ectopic pregnancy in my left fallopian tube. Although upset, having never got to a heartbeat stage before, ironically I was excited that I'd at least achieved this. I had lots of questions & I know my words were tumbling out with the shock, but Kate quickly & calmly assured me that everything was the perfect size & the heartbeat was strong, but just sadly in the wrong place. Kate then acting very quickly to ask the reception team to book an immediate taxi to UCLH hospital as she said I needed an urgent operation since the tube could rupture at any moment risking my life. Kate said I mustn't even risk getting a train home to Bristol. She even had a print out of the telephone numbers of all the London hospitals ready for this kind of emergency. Charlotte in reception then took me upstairs to their attic waiting room which was beautiful with lots of relaxing sofas. Charlotte then took me downstairs 10 minutes later & outside to even double check I got in the right taxi. The service I received was exceptional & how telling that the whole team were kind, compassionate, but also efficient & quick thinking in an emergency. I can't recommend The Birth Company enough & I shall be back there in a shot if I have another IVF pregnancy. Kate, Charlotte & Debra thank you for everything you did for me that day.

A very caring and perceptive team with a wealth of experience. I felt in safe hands throughout.

Not the kindest of people to go for a scan. I went for a early scan 7 weeks and was told by the sonographer that my baby would probably die before I go for my 12 week scan, despite me having an earlier NHS scan in the week at which I was told that everything was fine. I wasn't offered any counselling or support before I left. When I went in for the scan there was no where for me to get undressed with out being in full view of the sonographer- no curtain so I could retain my dignity. While having the scan ( a vaginal scan) one of the receptionists kept coming in and out- I felt really vunerable. I should have trusted my instincts and cancelled the scan and gone elsewhere. I would never go here again. Don;t waste your time or money on these people- they prey on the vunerable and it seems that unless you are a private patient they couldn't give two hoots about you and how you are feeling at such a difficult time.

My wife (Mili) and I went to see Dr. Gibb after she had been in terrible pain for the previous week and the NHS doctors we had seen were unable to provide a diagnosis. Dr. Gibb and his team (Ruth and Sophie) were helpful, efficient and the problem was solved that day. We would highly recommend them!

I loved the atmosphere of the birth company from the moment I went there six years ago. Dr. Gibb is an excellent doctor who manages always to put me at ease. I have delivered all 3 of my kids with him and continue to go there for my regular check ups. Even though I live abroad, they always remember me and answer any questions I have over the phone. They always offer an excellent service with a nice and friendly atmosphere.

We had an NIPT test earlier this week with someone called Kate. She was lovely and had a good bedside manner but my partner and I had previously done a lot of research on the different tests and had made an informed decision that we would like to go for the Harmony NIPT. When we came in, she proceeded to perform the scan and whilst doing this, she said that her favourite test was the Panorama one as it tested for two more items and the testing method was better (although she wasn t 100% able to outline the methodology advantages in a clear and user-friendly way). We felt put on the spot and pressured to go back on a decision we had made together as a couple in private after doing a lot of research, and we felt as if we then had to go for this test. I m not saying it was a horrendous experience, I just felt that it wasn t a very professional manner given the field this individual works in. We would have much preferred to have sat down as soon as we came in (without me being in a vulnerable position having a scan done) and discussed with her in a factual and evidence-based way why she believed the Panorama test to be superior and have had the pros and cons displayed to us in a way that we were able to make our own decision prior to commencing the scan.

We did end up choosing the test she recommended (the Panorama) but we did feel pressured into this and that we couldn t not chose this test so did not walk away with the best feeling.

The two stars I have given here are based purely on this experience alone. I have had two scans previously at the birth company, a follicle tracking scan with Gemma and an early pregnancy scan with Kayleigh and they were both excellent and very professional so I would have given them both 5 stars.

A lovely place with great professionals! I did two early pregnancy scans due to a vanishing twin and the SAFE test. The quality of service is impressive, staff very friendly and they explained every question I had in detail. It's also great to receive the baby's pictures and videos online straight after each appointment! Highly recommended :)

I was seen by Dr Gibbs, who was friendly, caring and professional. He seemed to have tons of experience with the issue I required. I would've had to wait 8 weeks to be seen by an NHS doctor otherwise, so I was very pleased to have found the Birth Co. and have the procedure done in 10 minutes.

We went to the Birth Company for an early scan and Harmony NIPT. The staff was really nice and made us feel comfortable. Our sonographer Karin was professional and patient as she pointed out and explained different aspects of the scan.We received the Harmony results really fast as well.

I highly reccomand this place, I'm 36 week pregnant and i wanted to do a well being scan. So i booked the same day and few hours later they were able to see me. Very professional and they immediately reassured me about something I was worried about. Strongly reccomand the staff very professional and well prepared.

Could not rate the Birth company more highly. Kate made the experience incredible and her friendly, preofessional approach is just what is needed. We had a panaorma test. Having had many miscarriages she knew the extra level of reassurance and detail we needed. We used another service in the past, who charge more, but would not hesitate to rate these guys higher. The reaults came very quickly too.

My experience with the Birth Company for over 6 years has been excellent. Dr Gibb is an amazing professional but more importantly he is a wonderful person who gives individual attention to the issues and problems, and finds the best way to resolve, reassure and keep you happy. Dr Gibb monitored and advised during my four pregnancies... The support I had from him was unbelievable, even during weekends and after hours. He was the only doctor who answered all my questions over the phone, without even me being registered at his clinic, after which I became his client for many years. I attended the clinic for a Harmony test after having been advised about higher probability of Down syndrome due to blood results, especially high HcG levels of 4.9 MoM. I called a number of clinics, and just by first interaction noticed that the staff here was very professional. Kate the sonographer was fantastic and a real asset to medical profession. She is both very detailed and sees bigger picture of connections between symptoms allowing her to come to very accurate conclusions and explain those to the patient in a clear and unambiguous way. She performed a very detailed analysis of the baby's physique explaining carefully every observation, guessed the gender correctly (prior to that, the hospital told me that it is absolutely impossible at this stage) and, as the test also later confirmed, correctly assessed that she would not expect a Down syndrome. It was a real pleasure to encounter her sparkling intelligence combined with natural human touch. I received my test results in 6 calendar days, which is way faster than timelines I heard from other clinics preceded by a very friendly, professional and to the point phone call. I would definitely recommend the clinic and the staff.

I just want to share my wonderful experience. I called the birth company yesterday afternoon in distress and spoke to the lovely Laura following an incomplete blood result i had received from my GP, which had raised the alarm bells. I asked if i could come for a second opinion and did the same blood screening and they booked me in straight away. Within 30 minutes, i was in the very capable hands of Karin who took my blood and then for re-assurance i asked if could get a well being scan done there and then. She went through and analysed everything in great detail and even showed my baby in real time and 4D - it was remarkable. I woke up this morning and by 8am - i had the blood result i needed in my hand with the all clear! I honestly can't thank this team enough for their fast work and efficiency. If you just want some peace of mind and like me suffer from anxiety and need a second opinion - this is the right place to go. I can't fault them at all. Thank you to the team at The Birth Company.

Dr Gibb was a great help to us: he is an excellent and very experienced professional, very assertive and offers the personal approach and coverage that we missed with the NHS. Wonderful experience! I had to reschedule 3 times and they were very understanding each time. Additionally, I was very pleased by the scan and the communication to go along with this. Everything was explained in detail to where I could understand it.
