Competitive Motorsports Review

Ordered a Simpson Hybrid S 3-point-harness-compatible head and neck restraint from Competition Motorsport. I received outstanding, knowledgeable guidance on fitment (the sizing of Simpson HANS devices is somewhat unusual) and the customer service rep I spoke with was right; the size that seemed like it would be too small for me was the right fit. There was a glitch with the item delivery (it was dropshipped by the manufacturer; the issue was not Competition Motorsport's fault in any way) and they went above and beyond to get me what I needed. Very responsive to emails too, AND Competition Motorsports supports NASA racers. I am sold I will continue to give Competition Motorsports my business, as they've proven themselves to be far above average.

Huge thanks to Competition Motorsports for helping me make the right decisions. They got me into the right intro helmet and helped me find the right size with the appropriate fitment. Their expertise and knowledge is whats most valuable. Definitely worth stopping by and picking their brains. Shout out to Maelstrom - super cool and down to earth dude.

My kids got me a CoolShirt from Competition Motorsport as a gift (something every Texan racing in the summer months should have - it's a lifesaver!) that, unfortunately, I needed to exchange. Great customer service, locally owned in Austin, TX. Once I place the order, I have found that my order is often shipped the next day and arrives 1-2 days afterwards (I live in Dallas). In my most recent order, I had to exchange my Simpson Hybrid HANS for a smaller size, the exchange process was really easy and I got the new size in no time. Anytime I need to order something motorsport related, I always look to Competition Motorsport first.

What great customer service! We have called late and early and someone is always there to help. When we ordered the wrong items, they sent us an email pointing us in the right direction and after ordering the wrong cables for that item they shipped the ones we needed right away in exchange. We must have called them 5 times or more with questions and we were helped with the best decision for our needs. We highly recommend Competition Motorsports to everyone.

Great customer service! I called in around 4:40 PM on Monday trying to see if they had an SA2015 helmet in stock. I was needing a SA2015 for a track event that was coming up that weekend. They assisted me with ordering the helmet AND shipped out the helmet the same day. I received my helmet yesterday. Thank you so much! Definitely recommend.

I ordered an AiM dash and AiM sent them the wrong one, in order to get my dash on time Maelestrom went the extra mile and sent it overnight no charge. Maelestrom was very communicative and straight with me during the whole process. I could have backed out and found another vendor during the process but I had a feeling that he actually cares about every customer of his. Stand up guy. Will buy again.

Very helpful staff. I came in to try on a hans device and the staff were more than accommodating. After purchasing, they helped put it together, adjust it, and showed me how it works with my helmet. Their partnership with NASA makes the prices very competitive to anything found online as well. Glad to have a race shop like this local!

Customer service was fantastic. I'm a first time racer and Maelstrom patiently and helpfully answered all of my questions and provided me with a great setup of all new gear!

I had to exchange a pair of sparco racing shoes for a different size and they never made me pay shipping on the second pair and they also had good advice on getting me the rite size as they are racers themselves. They were also very courteous and I got the feeling they truly cared about getting me the rite shoes and not just going through the motions. Will definitely buy from them again. Thanks guys !! A+

Visited CMS this morning to pick up a transponder for my TT Miata- very impressed with the showroom, inventory and of course I always enjoy dealing with Maelstrom, who is definitely one of the nicest and most knowledgeable accessory guys in the sport. It didn't hurt that the deal on the transponder was the best that I was able to find, too!
