Compass Cove Oceanfront Resort Reviews

DO NOT STAY HERE. Save yourself some trouble and go somewhere else.
Checked in, staff was friendly! Got to the room, it was a disaster. Fridge had rust, carpets were filthy, there was a hair in the sink and hair on top of the AC unit. We had one dish rag, and one towel and no toilet paper. I went downstairs to the poor nice girl who did absolutely nothing wrong to tell her the rooms were terrible and I want my money back. Tim, the manager on duty could honestly care less, telling me he will send someone to re clean my room, which wasn t clean upon arrival. I stayed at the Compass Cove before, and it was wonderful. But this time was terrible. Also, there were people checking out as soon as they were checking in, with the exact same complaints.

This was our first time staying at Compass Cove as we typically tend to stay more towards North Myrtle - and it was AMAZING. John was the manager that checked us in and I literally can t say enough nice things about him. We also met Jordan, who I believe is the restaurant s manager...also a super awesome guy! Every single time we went to one of the restaurants (Compass Rose or The Crows Nest) he was literally always working....bussing tables, greeting guests, you name it! Also, any contact we had with other staff members was just a pleasant! The maids, the servers, the guys cleaning the pools or picking up trash...every single person was SO NICE. The rooms here are well maintained and clean...which can be hard to find in Myrtle Beach. The pools were great! Our 4 year old LOVED the 2 lazy rivers and the water slide! I appreciated that there were numerous hot tubs and heated outdoor pools! Breakfast at the Compass Rose was really good! Great variety and super convenient! We will definitely be staying here again and I will be recommending to friends!

Perfect view of the ocean and very peaceful. I managed to get there when there was only a handful of other people so it was great to have the beach to myself pretty much.

Stayed ocean front. Mini suite is decent, much better than just a motel room. We loved the pools, slides, hot tubs and lazy river. Have inside and outside stuff to do. So rain or shine, you're golden. Breakfast buffet at compass rose was good too.

The first night we noticed that the drained was clogged. The front desk sent maintenance right away. The rest of the time there the carpets felt damp when you walked on them and they were in need of cleaning. I got out of the shower, put my clothes on and when I walked from the bathroom to the bed, my feet were brown from the carpet. I went to the bar a few times and I have to say the bartenders gave me the impression that they did not want to be there. Lastly, the bracelets they give you are a little tricky, I would have to move mine around the sensor unit it recognized the bracelet and let me in the room. The customer service was top notch. The two free breakfasts were a nice touch and there was a good selection of food. My family and I loved the amenities, especially the heated pools. I will definitely be going back in the future.

Our suite was Amazing! My fiance and I loved our stay! Comptorable bed, Ocean view, Balcony was the best! The sound of waves crashing, stars in the sky and Amazing sunrise, and view! Full kitchen! We loved it! Definitely recommend the Pinnacle tower at the Compass!

It has a nice ocean view. And the heated pools are great. The Hot Tub was heated. The Lazy river was cool. I liked how the water shot up out of the river. The hotel room was nice and we had good cable

Family resort kid friendly and pets welcomed. Checking in did take about 30mins but we were checked in with no issues. Elevators are very busy web stayed in the one bedroom suite in the pinnacle building. Not enough handicap accessibility. Not enough handicap parking. Parking is horrible although they have plenty parking areas. Plenty of pools indoor and out. There were some loitering but was quickly handled by management.

My room was not clean. There were food dropping on the floors, hair pins, paper. Paper was also on the patio. Chair with nasty stains. Unit (Schooner Jr) not well kept. This is the second time I have stayed in this building. It was disappointing the first stay. But the Oceanfront view was beautiful and the breakfasts were delicious.

I have been staying here for the past 15 years with my family every year and I love this place. It saddens me to say I don't think I will be going back. The staff was rude the elevators were broken sometimes waiting 30 min to get out of my building even got stuck on one twice and while the food was good but I feel like 11 dollars for only 2 tacos is a stretch. The bartender was grabbing the olives for my drink and squeezing them on to a straw with his bare hands after wiping the sweat off of his head then stuck them in my drinking honestly couldn't tell what this guy was on. The room was not very clean the, ice maker had no bucket so all the ice just fell out when you opened the door, we had to re wash the silverware when we got there and these are just a few of the things that really disappointed us this year it was no where near worth the 1400 dollars I spent there
