Companion Animal Care Clinic Review

The best vets I've ever been to... I've been taking my dogs, initially, 2 Briards and currently one Briard to Dr. Gilchrist and Dr. Tryban since January 2003 when I moved back to Michigan and the clinic opened. The doctors and staff are kind, patient and really care about the pets you bring to them. We went through really tough times with my first two "buddies" and the Doctors went beyond anything I could have imagined with the care and concern they provided. When I took my current "best friend" for her initial visit she liked the staff immediately and quickly made friends. We go for regularly scheduled visits and check-ups and we also stop by to visit the doctors and staff just to say hello. The fact that Baby is anxious to see her doctor friends says it all... Drs Gilchrist and Tryban are the best!

I have been taking Lizzy to Companion Animal Clinic for the past 2 years. She has always been well taken care of. As a matter a fact they treat her like one of their own. They explain everything so you know what is going on with your pet. It is the nicest, amd most caring clinic to bring your pet to. You will love this place.

Last review was 2 years ago, still in love with this place. As with any awesome vet it takes a while for an appointment but it s worth it.

My dog has been going here since she was a puppy; however, they just lost my service. Horrible customer service for a dog in need. Will not be returning or recommending to friends/family.

Even during these crazy times Companion Animal Care Clinic goes beyond customer service. They are always professional and compassionate. Thank you guys for staying open and still maintaining the expert level of care you always provide.

We love Companion Animal Care Clinic! Everyone there goes above and beyond to do the best job possible. They are kind, caring and very competent. We are so lucky to have found them. Our dog was very sick and would have died if not for them. They quickly diagnosed what was wrong and helped us get him healthy again! They are the only reason he is alive today!! And if you say we are 'going to the vet' our dog can't wait to get in the car!! That's the best testimony ever!! We highly recommend them!!

It has taken me months to finally write this review because I have been so upset. We used to bring our dog here. At first it was great and then over time they became so busy they couldn t even squeeze you in for an emergency. We were on vacation when our dog got sick. We drove 4 hours home in the middle of the night to be home/ able to call right when the vet opens. We called and explained our situation and that it was an emergency. The lady who answered the phone said they were too busy to fit us in and that we had to go to the emergency vet. Our dog was sick for a couple of days, we had been back and forth to the emergency multiple times, and we even called Companion back again to see if they would fit us in for an X-ray. They still refused. Unfortunately, the emergency vet misread our dogs X-ray and misdiagnosed what was wrong. Our dog had to be euthanized due to the negligence. You look for a vet you can trust. We drove 4 hours home in the middle of the night to see our doctor who we thought we could trust. Just to have them recommend us to an emergency vet that doesn t even have doctors who can read an X-ray properly/ understand basic anatomy. You would think that the vets at Companion would be compassionate enough to squeeze an emergency in. At the end of the day we had to euthanize our baby. Why would I ever recommend anyone to come to a vet that doesn t have time for loyal patients? I m extremely disappointed and heartbroken.

OMG!!! The staff here is Soo attentive.. I have never taken my pets to any vet's because of the scary things you hear about but...we needed to take our pups to check their ears and WOW..this is the only veterinarian they will go to.. I usually do at home care but this I could not do myself..

Amazing staff, great hospitality, fair prices and they loved my boys. I have two male cate Obsidian and Odysseus. I strive to make their lives amazing, these cats are absolutely my babies and I felt that when I took them to companion animals care today. They were super good to my boys and were very patient. As an out of work veterinary assistant I know the in's n out's of the veterinary business very well so finding the perfect clinic to take our new puppy Nacho to was very important for me. I was very happy with their services, the clinic was immaculately clean, all of the staff was very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I would and have recommended it to my past clients and all my friends.

I called and asked if they were accepting new clients. I thought since they had so many great reviews they would be helpful. When I called, I asked politely if they were accepting new clients. I couldn t believe how rude the woman who answered the phone was. She told me in a very snippy tone that they were not. I said oh okay, I then asked if they knew of any nearby vets in the area. (I just moved, new to the area) Again, she snapped at me and very rudely said she did not and that they don t affiliate with anyone. I ve never received vet care for my cats from this clinic but thinking I dodged a bullet. Very unprofessional

I am SO happy to have found this clinic. Having taken my GSD to Wilson s for the past two years, I wish I found Dr. Gilchrist sooner. It is so refreshing to have someone genuinely care about your pet and to take the extra time to make sure he/she is comfortable; my dog was ALWAYS muzzled at Wilson s, and her chart was marked with caution clearly visible to me. My dog is by no means aggressive, but like any GSD, she is nervous. Having spent a little extra time with her during our initial visit, Dr. Gilchrist can poke and prod her with zero issues. No muzzle needed.
I always leave there feeling good about my dog s care and the experience- something I did not feel at my previous vet.

This was our first visit today with our new puppy. Dr Gilchrist was amazing! He answered all our questions was very informative and had a wonderful bedside manner. This place is new and very clean. The staff was also amazing and super friendly So glad we picked this place for our new 9 week old baby. Great first time experience. Highly recommend Companion Animal Clinic. Plus the bill was reasonable.

Visited for a chiropractor appointment for our dog. Very clean facility and friendly staff.

Ali at the front desk is AMAZING (morning receptionist). Dr Gilchrist Is phenomenal. My dog Kaiser is absolutely a sweet, but hyper, boy and Dr G and Ali both handle his youthful energy very well. He actually loves going to the vet. They have the best pricing for vaccinations that I've come across.

I am so very happy with this vet clinic! The office staff ladies are very friendly and Dr. Gilchrist is personable and professional and my new dog felt comfortable with him immediately. The waiting room and examination rooms were very clean. I especially liked that there wasn't a long wait for the Dr. to come in like I have experienced at other places in the past. I highly recommend Companion Animal Care Clinic.

The team at Companion Animal Care go above & beyond at each visit. Compassionate, personal, knowledgeable, current on new treatments, and fair prices! Dr. Gilchrist tracked my mom down in the Caribbean when her dog was ill, and walked her through the situation with tenderness & understanding. I recommend Companion Animal Care to all of my friends, they are top notch in all they do!

This place is very clean and secretary was very nice. I wasn't there to see the vet but rather to see Dr Grant for chiropractic Care for my dog. Which I was very pleased.
