Community Harvest Food Bank Review

They are very helpful. But sometimes there selection is not good.

Thankful for the awesome good this organization, its people and donors add to the community.

The service was fast and the waitress very friendly. I would visit again.

Every Saturday they give away food, you have to bring your own bag or basket something to put all the food in.

A great experience in and out customer service was excellent

Didn't have much selection in meat verity, or any frozen vegetables.

We are having an unexpected hard time at the moment and the folks at our church sent us to Community Harvest for some help. The people there were extremely kind and compassionate, helped us in any way they could, and went beyond just doing their jobs in the help they gave my kids and me. Amazing people!

Nice of them to help out the elderly, helpers need more organization, moves along too slow, its cold outside now, old bones don't need to stand in the cold that long.

During these hard times it was a relief to get a voucher free food. They followed the Social Distancing due to COVID 19. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Very generous food bank. Gives out as much food as you can carry. Open Saturday mornings, no ID required, just a zip code and how many people in the household. We got a ride there from a friend and they insisted the friend take food too. Expect a long wait, but worth it. We were given fresh produce, fruits and veggies, bread, eggs, even ice cream and sheet cakes. Everything is donated by local stores and they have a large warehouse with pallets and pallets of food. They truly load you down. They also have a small grocery area that goes by referrals only, but its set up just like a grocery store with isles of food. They will also give a 10lb bag of emergency food once every 12 months to start you out and have a trolley of fresh bread and produce that you can take from. Amazing place. Highly recommend utilizing this facility. The staff is incredibly kind and non judgmental.

Volunteering here is easy and there are lots of ways to help. Sign up online. Tons of people depend on them.

An excellent opportunity really helps out with your food budget they only have one small issue and that's getting it from the back of the warehouse out front where people can get it

I took a friend to food Bank many of times! Everything right there you mostly need!

Very courteous and helpful staff. The selection of items is best first thing in the morning. But overall there was a good selection of products. I stock up on canned goods every time I visit here. I'm thankful this resource is available to those in need.

This place helps a lot but recently I encountered a problem with the chicken in the boxes they give out . Chicken with the necks attached or chicken heads and chicken hearts or chicken feathers if I would of known that I would not of went there. I can't feed that to my children. Does the community harvest have a thing against poor people.that is not food... Thanks community harvest

If it was not for community harvest I would not have food

These folks are fantastic. You can go every Saturday morning and they don't require any paperwork or proof of anything to get food for you or your family. Best food bank in Fort Wayne. And, with a voucher from your church, you have access to meats and dairy items as well. Which, you occasionally get in the regular line. But, with the voucher, it's just like grocery shopping. Excellent place.

Great place when you are need. Bring your own bags, and prepare to get a lot of canned goods. I'm thankful for the opportunity to fill my cabinets with much needed food.

This place is the best place to volunteer at and they definently help when your in a pinch.

They help seniors with food each month in help others on Saturdays in help poeple that had vouchers.they help thousands every day.

Friendly & helpful. With Senior Pak u get more food than any1 person can use. The monthly 1 gives u cheese, among other things. On Saturday they give even more. Well worth the time.

What can I say Community Harvest is a wonderful place when somebody struggling the food there's been good the selection is the best they can be offered and the people are quite friendly

The employees are always so helpful here! Antwan in the warehouse is awesome and Donna in the office is a hoot!

Great place for community awsome contributions. You are also able to go and volunteer drop donated items to the office. This program has assisted slot of people they are open usually daily for emergency food. Sat mornings open at 930 for a food bank it's a great place to go if need help.

I was refused a food voucher told i don't live in their zone when i live in 46816 . They refused me a voucher while pregnant.

The whole staff here are very understanding of peoples situations. They will give you any kind of info you need if you just ask.

The experience was a very good one. Trhe one thong I didn't quite enjoy was the after waiting for so long we didn't get some of the chicken and the pumpkin pie and they had a whole 3 or so boxes full of bananas yet they wouldn't give them away.

I love volunteering here. They treat you like an adult and set you to work, trusting you to get the job done. Very organized and friendly.

Things are very rough at the moment, and I was referred here by a friend of mine. They were amazing!!! Not only did I get regular food, but I also was given some gluten free food as well. I have celiac diease and this was a true blessing today. Thank you so much for everything!!

I go almost every saturday. The volunteers are normally really nice and well organized.
