I purchased my son s class ring from Art Carved (owned by Commemorative Brands Inc./American Achievement Corporation) through our local Zales Jewelry store. One month after receiving the class ring, the enamel to the side art fell out. I spoke with my son, informing him that with 3 months until graduation, it may take a while but surely not more time then it took to make the ring. I took it back to Zales and was informed that the repair may lead to a complete re-cast of the ring but it should not take longer then 3 weeks. I agreed and gave the representative the ring. That was 3/22/2018.
4/18/2018, I called Zales checking the status of the ring. No ring. Okay, I will check back next week. 4/25/2018, I call Zales again. No ring. Okay, sure. I will call back again. 5/9/2018, I call once again. No ring. One more time! 5/17/2018, NO RING!
5/23/2018, I visit the Zales store in person and demand to know why my son s ring has no progress for 62 days. After the representative plays phone tag with Art Carved in Austin Texas, I finally get the truth. The ring was completed and sent to the shopping mall where Zales is located. The package was delivered via UPS on 4/12/2018! The package was not picked up for some unknown reason and sent BACK to Art Carved, whom received the returned package on 4/25/2018!
Furious with this new development, my husband and I contact Art Carved via telephone and ask their side of the story. All the above information was verified by the Art Carved representative. I asked why Art Carved did not contact Zales or me about the returned $400+ class ring. She did not give me an answer. I then asked where the ring was physically. Again, I did not get an answer. So, Art Carved has my son s class ring for 28 days, lost in one of two departments that COULD have it , and did not even start an inquiry for why this purchased ring is just sitting there collecting dust. I demanded my property to be found and overnighted because my son s graduates THIS FRIDAY. I was brushed off with a lame excuse of we will contact you as soon as it s located.
Final thoughts: This company is unorganized and not customer orientated. They have my money as well as my merchandise and seems to not care about any of this situation. I am out $400+ and a class ring. I will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

Ordered college announcements for my daughter's graduation. They are a sheet of paper you have to fold in quarters. $100. Very cheap looking. So disappointed. Could have printed them myself for a lot less. Some company sent a sample that was beautiful with raised lettering, etc. for less, but I went with the "official" option.

I have been extremely disappointed with the customer service at Balfour. I sent my ring back for a simple repair and they sent back a completely different ring than my original and what was advertised online. I informed Balfour of this, had it sent back a second time, and once again it came back with a totally different stone and of very poor quality. Not to mention the encasing was jagged (BOTH TIMES). I am now having an extremely difficult time contacting a manager to resolve this issue (It's currently been 2 weeks and counting...) and could not be more disappointed. I do not recommend Balfour to anyone.

I ordered a ring from Balfour, also known as Commemorative Brands Inc, and they had all sorts of price mistakes in their options/order process as I found out later. Originally promised a refund, then blamed my bank for not accepting, and finally admitted they never initiated the refund. Now they say they never will. Requests to speak to higher level supervisors are rebuffed; call back was promised but never happened.
