Go to Wilmington or anywhere else. Some of the staff are just hateful. Some treat you like a piece of meat to study on... And instead of these commercials they have started advertising, how about use that money to better the hospital.

Highly disappointed with the service waited 8 hours for pee and an X-ray I had an active infection and serious blocked bowl ducts they gave me nothing for either and sent me home
Worst hospital I have been to in my entire life! Brought my 5 yr old To the er right at 6 pm sat in the waiting room for 2 and half hours until I noticed her tempature skyrocketing while she slept in my arms went to front desk and asked for them to retake her tempature right after I sat back down she starts vomiting again and then the lady finnaly comes to take her tempature it was 103 something! about 10 15 min after telling them if they couldn't get her in a room soon I was going to take her some were else they got her in a room. When we get in the room a nurse comes in to give her medicine and tells me it wasn't life threatening and there really busy !!! So I'm still sitting here with my daughter waiting for a doctor after being here 3 hours .....I will never again bring any of my family here ! Save yourself go to a different hospital
Both my sons had to have surgery and this hospital is where their ENT operates at so we had to stay overnight as we live a hour+ away. I could not say ANYTHING bad about this facility nor any of the staff. Everyone you meet is friendly and helpful, very clean and updated, rooms are spacious, food was good. They made a stressful situation a lot better! Special thanks to our amazing nurse Tabitha on 3rd floor
We live in a very rural area, and this is the closest hospital to us. That being said, unless we have a true emergency, we will never return to this hospital. I'm an RN from Atlanta, living in Chadbourn now. I've been to small hospitals that exceeded my expectations. This hospital is NOT one of them. It's unfortunate that one must actually get to the point of "throwing a fit" and threatening to contact Joint Commission (a hospital's governing board) to get basic, proper care. My husband actually had sepsis (which Dr. Walters thought was diverticulitis, even after I told him I recognized the signs & symptoms of sepsis! I'd cared for many critical septic patients in my nursing career.) and I wanted him transferred immediately to New Hanover, in Wilmington. It took 2 days to get that transfer. I lost every bit of nursing professionalism in that 2 days. That's just 1 example. I was admitted twice, with similar outcomes. Never again!! One positive note - the cardiac rehab and physical therapy departments are excellent!
The hospital board got rid of the best thing to happen to Columbus Regional, Dr. Charita Csiky. Dr. Csiky is a very skilled and caring pediatrician that was working out of Southeast Pediatrics until 1 year ago when she was forced out. It was a great injustice to her patients and the parents of the patients. I have never met a doctor that took it to the level she does. She is really an amazing person. My family nor I have been back to Columbus Regional or any of its affiliates since Dr. Csiky was ousted.
Wish I could give 0 stars my dad was nonresponsive and they turned him away at the ER because we didn't have $300 to be seen. Once again putting money over people!! We had to drive him all the way to a different county. He could've died but they couldn't care less.
I would give this hospital 0 STARS. It is TERRIBLE. If you need to go to a hospital go to New Hanover. The wait is to long and they accused my stepdad of just wanting pain killers (which is a terrible accusation to accuse to put on someone) Do not go there.
Everyone doesn't have acid reflux. ....i'm in pain and you say its acid reflux is that the only diagnosis that you can give. Just look back in my records and not seeing what's going on now. Smh
I absolutely love the "baby" floor. Every nurse and doctor that treated me with both of my babies were excellent, and I received the absolute best care, as did my children. I have had nothing but awesome care at this facility! :)
So today we came in with my wife having a reaction to something. Her air way was closing. We waited in the lobby for 1 min if that then came to the back to have 7 people helping her. This is the best experience we have had at the hospital in a LONG time.
I recently had hip replacement surgery at Columbus Regional Hospital. My Orthopedic Surgeon in Clinton referred me to Dr. Lippe at Southeast Orthopedic because of skill at doing minimally invasive robotic assisted surgery, Dr Lippe has just recently moved his practice form Wilmington to Whiteville, but the decision to see him even though it meant an hour and a half drive was the best decision I ever made. The fact that he operates now out of Columbus Regional Hospital is an added bonus! It may be an older building, but the care was on par-and even better- than in some fancy modern buildings. The staff was amazing at every level of interaction. Everything from the pre-op visit to the quick discharge procedure was stellar. The nursing staff in pre-op and on the 5th floor were attentive, professional and personable. The maintenance staff was friendly and considerate, the young man who brought me breakfast was one of the nicest young men I met there! My compliments to the staff for their dedication to providing excellent care. You are very fortunate to have Dr. Lippe on staff now- and an excellent team to asist him.
E.R Dr made her own diagnoses .REED . I want this taken off my medical record from 1-2-15 It is false informantion and is against the LAW. You have know right to do such without PROOF of your claim
It's got to be the worst hospital I've ever been to ,I arrived with my son running a fever of 103 at 630 to be called back at 12 and still waited on the Dr ,I will never bring another family member here ,unless a matter of life or death to be transferred to another hospital... If the staff spent more time doing what they are paid to do , instead of gathering around the desk to talk to the Dr ,alot more would get done ...Unless your dying or need to be transferred ,I would keep moving on to New Hanover ...
Worse healthcare services anywhere! long wait times and it takes forever to talk to anyone. They will not even answer the phone so you can pay your bill.
I give them a HUGE 0 stars...Dr William Cross made me sit there for 8 hrs , I have cronic lower back pain ( spinal bifida at birth ) and arthritis in my knees. The heat doesn't even work and it was 30 outside. They wouldn't even give me a warm blanket. ...and wouldn't give me anything for pain.
The staff is outstanding and friendly, the facility is very modern and clean. Sure it's not perfect, but overall it's a great hospital and they are continuously improving.
After undergoing a total knee replacement Monday morning, I was placed in the care of the 5th floor nursing staff. I received great healthcare from the nursing staff (both Joyces, Lupita, Amy, Clara, Erika and Kristina, along with several others that I didn't get names for). Ray and Dean from Physical Therapy were great also, along with Rachel from food service. Everyone was wonderful and I thank you, very much! I was sent home Wednesday around noon and am doing very well. The Doc's were great also!
It is well known around Whiteville that Columbus Regional Hospital is a great place to die. If it's medical care that you're neding - you'd be better off visiting an unlicensed Vetrinarian. Skip this hospital. Worst care anywhere.
Got to ER around 10:30pm, admitted me at 7 am, long night, mostly sitting there. Great experience on 3rd floor except for last 2 nights. Night nurse seemed very overwhelmed with her job. Meds off schedule, iiv site had to be changed 2 times in 2 hours. First one from er failed, next one this nurse did burned from beginning, told her that. Blew my vein and the liquid from Iv puffed up the tissue badly and vein still feels swollen and hard. She was very frustrated, unorganized. Would not ask man in next room to lower tv, finally 2:30 in the morning she did after several complaints. I could go on about hospital doctor misdiagnosing me, and then had attitude when surgeon called in to consult disagreed.
If there is something seriously wrong with you DO NOT GO HERE!!! You might die before you get seen, please don't go here me and my husband has come here in excruciating pain and left in tears after 4 hours of waiting and not being seen. The only reason I gave one star is because you can't give no stars. Worst hospital I've ever been to and im not exaggerating, SAVE YOUR TIME and go some where ANYWHERE else
Family member treated in ED and in CCU recently. The hospitalists, nursing staff, and other employees were very professional. Even with the challenges presented, the staff was respectful and professional. We are very appreciative of the excellent care that was provided. Thanks to all.
MY 7 yr old son set in the lobby for 6 hours with a fever and not feeling well till 3 am we finally walked out and took him to another hospital 1 hour away and we waited about 10 mins in supply hospital till he got help Columbus Regional Hospital is the worst i have ever seen in my life they should be ashamed of their self.
