Nice little community zoo located in a central park area of Lafayette. Staff has always been friendly when asking them about memberships, animals, etc. The grounds are particularly clean and well-maintained. Animals all seem to be well taken care of and enjoying life. Nice place to go when you have an hour and the weather is great!
We love going to the zoo. So much fun and it's free. The staff is super nice and friendly.
Used to walk this zoo when i was a kid all the time lol
Small and quaint. Also free. Good for a short afternoon trip!
This is a good place to see and interact with the animals while in Lafayette. It isn't big by no means but its good.
We had a great time with family at the park! It's a very well designed park, with play equipment for disabled people as well! There are multiple playsets designed for different age groups. It was a popular place on a summer Saturday, even with rain in the forecast.
We love taking our little ones here. The zoo is free and just the right size for young kids. The park has awesome playground equipment, even stuff for older kids. The pavilions with picnic tables are nice as well.
Had a great time seeing all the officers and vehicles!!
This free zoo is a great place to take children. There's a lot to do, but it's small enough that the kids don't get exhausted
Staff is really nice & the scenery is beautiful for pictures. But some animals i wanted to see weren t even there, like the otters. otherwise it s really fun and i definitely suggest you check this place out!
Train is running, zoo is open and don't forget Frozen Custard.
The caution tape is still around playground equipment. It's time to take it down
A nice variety of animal exhibits, especially for a free zoo. I love being able to walk through the wallaby area!
Had a great time at this little zoo. If you just want something to do for the afternoon and entertain your smaller kids this is it. My 4 year old didn t know it was a smaller zoo.
Small community-funded park and zoo. A great community program.
It's a nice playground. There is a zoo and a pool. There is a duck pond and senior recreation center.
What a gem. Playground & zoo are free. It's $2 for a train ride, but those smiles are priceless.
This place is free and has a farm animal petting Zoo.
Was clean and well maintained!! Cant wait till the penguins arive!!
Great place to bring family, even if you don't bring them you will still have fun with friends
Ive attended a few community events at The Zoo and have found them to be well attended, excellent content and activity, and very well organized. The park is clean and all playground equipment and shelters seem to be in good working order. The playgrounds are very modern and engaging, and children seem to be in full action continuously-even moving between the different playgrounds easily. Two outstanding events that my family enjoyed were the parade days and Boo in the Zoo.
Fun free zoo, train ride for the kiddos is cheap and fun. The park is very nice too!
Always a great experience every time we go. They are adding a penguin exhibit this coming year.
This park has everything. It has a butterfly area. They can land on you. Tons of different animals. Like kangaroos. prairie dogs. Aquarium for the otters. A awesome little interactive water features to keep you cool. A awesome little train you can ride on. Places to have a picnic at. Tunnels for the kids to crawl through. Huge playground sets. Petting zoo. The kids had a blast. It's a little bit of a drive for us. It's worth it. The greatest part. Is its all FREE! SERIOUSLY FREE. They take donations and they're adding penguin soon. Can't recommend this place enough. Love it.
Enjoyable zoo. My kids come back several times a year to see the otters, butterflies, and petting zoo. Good gift shop and no admission charge. Looking forward to the planned new exhibits in the future (penguins, big cats, and primates).
Great little zoo/park to visit. I recently went there with my daughters preschool and they loved. My daughter always enjoys riding on the train. There are several small rides as well. The rides and train aren't free but they are fairly cheap. They have a huge playground with lots picnic tables. They also have a good sized water park. Arni's and Frozen Custard are right across the street. Parking can be a bit annoying though.
This zoo, albeit small, is remarkably clean, well maintained and well staffed. The animals seem quite happy and cared for. It was worth the drive from INDY
Love the zoo but mostly the butterflys! Lol Great atmosphere for kids and adults with park accomodations for kids of all ages.
Small farm, but it is free so it was a good little diversion while at the park.
Fun fun fun. Need I say more. The walk there with all the flowers are nice also
Cute zoo. Kids enjoy it and the variety of animals is pretty good. Hope to see it continue to grow.
Its ok. Its free. They have a few animals and I think they're growing
We loved this adorable little FREE zoo... Super clean and beautiful park setting. Train ride is only $2 per person. Could have spent all day with the baby goats. Definitely planning to head back. Bring lots of quarters to feed goats and swim wear as there's an adjacent Waterpark. Such a fun day!
Free!! Very nice setup!! Would have happily paid a few bucks to see this!
The zoo is always a great way to spend a few minutes or an hour. Our kids love guessing if certain animals will be out or 'in their homes.'
Our last visit was for "Boo at the Zoo" which was well done including procedures due to COVID.
Need more water areas besides water park to cool off.
I basically grew up here and am so excited for the penguin exhibit
It's an old park but still good. On a company picnic and it worked. I took a fishing pole to show some of our kids what it was like to catch a fish and that worked fine. Lots of little catfish bit like crazy on a simple worm and bobber.
Such a Great Free Place to visit. Staff is Very Friendly & well kept environment. Its in the best location, walking distance from an Amazing Park & also Frozen Custard! Definitely Recommended...
Great place for kids. Hard to get to big slides after rain. Aged appropriately. Zoo nice, staff friendly and knowledgeable.
My mother's family goes are for all the reunions it's a beautiful place to go in and all fall
Not a large zoo by any means. It is free and well kept. It's a place we go when we have a little time to kill. Great place for little ones.
Great for kids next to a train and a amazing playground
This is the perfect place for a last night walk, roller skating, biking, and so much more!
Love that it's free and the kids never get tired of going!
Free entry. Cute place for a date or a nice rest place after a small bike ride
Love this place. We take the kids a few times a year. I will admit that the zoo is small, but you can't beat free. Plus there is a huge park to play on once the kids get tired of the animals.
Love this place. Kids enjoy seeing the animals and playing in the water. We also had a police officer come say hi and give up a coupon for free ice cream.
Getting ready for the Boo at the Zoo Event. It is going to be awesone!
Great place to take kids, it's always clean and workers are always friendly
One of my favorite places in town! Pleasant for a walk, bike ride, or picnic. Multiple-ages playgrounds, duck pond, performance stage, military memorial, and a great little zoo! Summer adds a water park, Kidde rides, and a multi-use baseball field. Great all around for family fun.
Best park in lafayette. It has a small free zoo with very friendly staff. Zoos goats usually give birth in mid to late may. New penguin area is going in. The play area are well maintained though they can be very busy at times. There are alot of shelters you can rent for a fair price.
