last night was the first time we went to this place. But It is surely not the last time. We passed a splendid evening with the generous service, with the magnificent cuisine and booze and with the honest payment. We will no doubt go back there soon.

Nice location. indoor seating. Outdoor seating. They do have a set menu that comes with a bottle of wine. For $26 it's not bad. Next time I will order a la carte instead. I recommend if you like fish and pasta.

Regular eatery of choice was closed due to a power outage. Opted for Cole's for a late evening after yoga repast. Blackened shrimp and scallops on arugula and endive over a balsamic sauce pleased half the party. The shrimp parmigiana was heavy, heavily breaded shrimp, heavily sauced and cheesed over a lost angel hair pasta base. Dessert was a key lime pie topped with a thick whipped cream. The key lime custard was perfect although the rest including the crust were wanting. Many family gatherings were spent at Cole's in the past. Mike the bartender has served customers well for decades. The AC was more than adequate on a hot and humid July late night. Daytime provides views of Great Kills harbor.

Went to the restaurant for lunch. Ordered the crabcake which was just okay. My friends had the fish and chips and the sole which they said was very good. Our waiter acted like he had a chip on his shoulder; curt and seemed annoyed when we asked questions about the menu. He should take a cue from the owner who walks around the place and smiles at everyone.

had the lobster roll. It was filled with celery and mayo and sprinkle of lobster meat. Waste of money. Complained to the manager/ whatever the guy thinks he is. His reply was , how bad the business was and saying he had to do what he had to do.

Excellent restaurant. Excellent food and excellent staff. We were here for my Mother s Birthday and our waiter Dan was outstanding. Attentive, Social, and Hilarious. Excellent service. Cole s Dockside is just one of those hidden Gems on Staten Island. It s a great atmosphere and a great location. It has an excellent waterside view.

With respect to the food. As I mentioned above, excellent. However, simply saying the food is excellent is not enough. When you go to a restaurant like Cole s Dockside presentation is also an important part of the experience. I must say, the plate presentation was great. The decoration of the plates were wonderful. Props and bonus points for the food plating. Overall an outstanding experience. Highly recommend for anyone.

Our first time at Cole`s Dock Side, My husband and I enjoyed our meal very much, Our waiter was fantastic, very friendly and did not rush us out.. place very clean and nicely decorated.. The only thing I was not crazy about was the tables are two close. I had a load guy to my right and two others that kept looking at everything we ordered.. definitely recommend this place, especially if your a fish lover.

The food and service has always been excellent. It's a long haul from the North Shore,, but despite my diet restrictions I'm fully satisfied (vegetarian with no aged food or drink) whatever I choose.

This is a really nice local restaurant serving really fresh seafood. It makes really good use of its location near the marina and being on an island.

I went with my parents on a Saturday night. We called ahead to reserve a table to be safe after a few other places said they were booked. They had the table ready when we arrived but it wasn't really prepared - there wasn't cutlery, plates or glassware for everyone. Overall the service was kind of off - a waitress never introduced herself to us, but random people would walk up to us and ask if we needed anything. The drinks came out pretty quickly and they weren't anything special - the martini with the blue cheese stuffed olive was fine.

The bread basket arrived with a fresh loaf of bread but also one bizarrely stale piece that appeared to be red with sauce. It took a while for the food to come out but it was fresh so I didn't mind. The calamari was delicious - it almost melted in your mouth, firm without being chewy. The duck rolls were alright - the sauce was good but it was clearly an effort to re-use old duck. I had the scallops as my entree and they were delicious. My mother got the blackened shrimp and scallops on top of the arugula salad. The dish had a bit of spice to it so be warned.

Overall I think the service wasn't great because they were really busy - which isn't an ideal scenario but is understandable. I'd also rather a seafood restaurant be too busy than the opposite. I enjoyed my entree a lot and could see myself returning with family for a casual dinner.

Not the first time eating here, used to love this place till today. Order fried soft shells(they tasted great) but the arugula salad was drenched in apple cider vinigar with balsamic and so was the house salad. The mash potatoes pancakes that came with the crabs was made from the powder mash potatoes mix(gross) and just for the 2 fried soft shells crabs I paid $37. Which is ridiculous because next door marina has them and I paid $18. Soooo better off going to marina instead

Excellent outdoor seating arrangement and attentive staff. Definitely recommend the clam chowder and oyster po boy. My partner had the oysters and fish tacos. Our bloody mary and cranberry old fashioned were great too. I was able to pick the scotch/whiskey no problem.

Another couple got there quite a while before we did, and house had no problem allowing them to wait at table until we arrived 45 minutes later. A bottle of wine helped occupy their time. We did get there just in time for Prix fixe dinner. Great value for delicious food! The service was exceptional, and not intrusive. Definitely will be back.

We were a large party and they accommodated us with very little notice. Food and service were on point. I'm very appreciative to the entire staff at Cole's. They took what was tuning into a disastrous day and made it a wonderful celebration...thank all of you so much

Amazing hidden gem! The seafood was fresh, the portions huge and the sides very good! Usually, in seafood joints, the sides fall way short, but not here! The staff was warm and friendly. Great experience overall!

Haven't had a bad meal ever! And it's the place for great fresh seafood. Plenty of selections in every category, but it's our go to place for the seafood. The price fixe menu is priced great and you get a bottle of wine with dinner, with a great wait staff your good to go.

I went with 3 friends and waited 38 minutes for my food!! The Calamari was not eatable, The salad was tasted like oil and water and had no flavor. The vegetables were so over cooked they were soggy! The main course came, And not a bit of taste to it at all! So, after asking for the manager, a man comes over and we explain the problems with the dishes and his response was " I knew when you came in, we were gonna have problems" Now how as a manager, speak to a woman like that? Even the older couple next to us said " How dare he speak to you like that" And they also complained about their food as well! I GOTTA SAY, WITH ALL THE SEAFOOD SPOTS ON STATEN ISLAND, THIS PLACE WAS THE ABSOLUTE WORSE PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN. This was my very first time there and MY VERY LAST! I will never recommend this place to anyone. And if you think you are just going to delete this, I will snap shot it when I'm done and put it all over my social media just in case! What a huge mistake this so called manager has made! Huge!!!!!

This restaurant is no where near as good as it use to be.

They are definitely cutting corners and it shows on the plate. Mussels were gritty and baked clams were soggy.

The Father's Day menu was vague. No description for any of the menu items.

I feel like if your going to have a seperate menu for a holiday then you should take into account what kind of holiday it is. It was frustrating that there was no children's menu. I think it would be common sense to recognize that children are going to be involved in a father's day dinner. I'd understand if it was valentine's day or New Years .

They were able to provide ziti and sauce for my son but it arrived 10 minutes after all of the adults meals (my son is 3 this was extremely upsetting to me) and then the sauce tasted like metal. You could easily tell that it was poured from a can and heated. It was not cooked slowly over time to get that tin taste out.

Overall, I was extremely disappointed that a place I once loved isn't a place I'd eat at again.

The food was without a doubt one of the best meals you can get on Staten Island. It had been 2 years or more since the last time I was there and it was just as good now as before. The parking is very tough and. They need more comfortable chairs, those hard wooden ones are very uncomfortable
