I give it a 3-4 star for the course itself but a 1- maybe 2 star on experience. I've been here twice now the first time was amazing. They were working on the new clubhouse and the guy that set us up was nice and great for a sat didn't have a lot of golfers out. The last time we went..just this past sat..front desk guy was kind of rude, course was way over booked. Waited 15+ mins to tee off at every hole and we even teamed up with the people in front of us. I understand it was a Sat and they were just trying to make money but there is no excuse to have 3-4 groups at one tee box at a time. Tell people you are booked for the day.

I recently played 18 holes this past Saturday with my father and Godfather at Coldwater Canyon. $70.00+ for 18-holes with a cart. Todd, in the pro shop was unfriendly and didn't even greet you when you came in to pay for the round. and arrogant type of personality. We were thinking that the course was going to be in top condition. That was not the case. The front 9-holes was beat up, full of divots, dead grass, and unplanned puddles. It seemed like the front 9 was barely kept up to a nominal playing standard. Lastly, a lot of the holes felt like they were on top of each other or out of place. The back 9 was a night and day difference compared to the front 9. The back 9 was beautiful for the most part. Tee boxes still seemed destroyed but the back 9 was beautiful compared to the front. If the front 9 was like the back 9 and they did a better job of keeping the course in fair condition I could understand the $70.00+ dollars spent. This course is a $45.00 course max for 18-holes with a cart. Not worth what they are charging and not worth the type of service we experienced.

Nice golf course, they have a very bad nat problem. Nats made it hard to hit the ball.
Staff at the Pro Shop was a very unfriendly lady and not helpful. Encountered her twice, so wasn't just a bad day.

Coldwater Canyon served as course #3 during our Dells golf trip. At $35 on a Friday afternoon, I thought this would be good spot to cap off the day. Upon pulling up to the clubhouse, I was excited as the facilities looked new and we passed a few holes on the back 9, which ended up being the only good thing about Coldwater.

Hole #1 was the saddest par 5 I have ever played at 460 yards and a 50-yard bunker taking up the entire fairway about 220 yards out. Hole #2 wasn't much better with a downhill blind shot par 3 to a small green. Both holes were on top of each other and this pattern repeated itself throughout the front 9. Tall trees, narrow fairways, small greens, and lack of space made for a boring first 9 holes.

The links-style back 9 saved what little interest I still had left and I would give holes #10-18 a solid 3.5 stars. Unfortunately, the cart girl had run out of almost everything by 4pm so that put a damper on things.

After my experience at Coldwater, I would recommend to any out-of-towners that they skip this course and instead pay the extra $'s to play Christmas Mountain, Wild Rock, and/or Trapper's Turn. You'll pay a little more, but you will also get SO MUCH MORE for your dollar.

Great course in the dells! The price for 18 holes is good and the course itself is pretty good. The mix of pars is good. I had a 1pm tee time with 3 people and it was busy, but not overcrowded to the point of having to wait every hole. And not to toot my own horn, but I drove the green in 2 and got my first birdie today on the 18th hole!

Awesome course to play. Lots of different challenges. Greens were nice and fairways well taken care of. The back 9 definitely plays different with that links style than the front 9. Electric GPS carts really tops the cake. Definitely worth the stop to play.

Such a beautiful well managed and manicured course. Thank you Todd and Ed for all the little things you do to help us feel save during this pandemic. It means a lot, sincerely. Thanks for the awesome lessons too! Impossible to not have a blast surrounded by this beauty with my newly acquired skills. :).

Worst staff on record. Constantly hounded for no reason during our round. Staff is unruly and down right preposterous at times. Except for one employee he was cool. Everyone else there can suck an egg. Also 56 bucks for 9 holes I shouldn t see dead grass around the green. And the brakes are weak on the golf carts.
