Just spent $99 per person on the farm to table experience and got no food with limited alcohol menu. Had a great time with our friends but had almost no food served to us. Very disappointed.

Great Staff, always helpful and friendly
Dubs is a great test!
Membership is a real bargain
4 great courses, food is great (breakfast/lunch), PGA tour quality practice facility. Open year round this is the premier place to bring a foursome for a memorable round of golf. Memberships on all 4 courses, unlimited cart, unlimited range and locker privileges $4900 per year. Best deal in Chicago. Staff is very friendly, owners are usually around to shake hands and make you feel welcome.
Great courses, all set up nicely. Once the range opens they have one of the better ones in the area to use. Definitely a must play in the Chicago area.
Great time, great amenities, I can forgive the tough rough and greens because of all the rain and probably no chance to really mow and roll and mow, but next month I look forward to Dubs and Ravines extravaganza
Perfect day temperature and weather wise. Course dry and firm. Very good condition all around. Greens nice but not fast, running 10'ish. Front nine really reminded me of Laurel Valley Golf Club in Ligonier, PA. Back nine had a different feel but still very nice layout. Par 3's were, 'BIG' is the word, long and bunkered well. From the first tee you could tell you were on a championship course. Shot 41-37 from blue markers, but hit the ball better on the front nine. Couple 3 putts, couple fairway bunkers, couple bad club decisions and you're 4 or 5 over. A great day, will remember for a long time.
Excellent food and service. Beautiful grounds and facility
Was here for a golf outing. Very organized and the staff was educated and polite. Literally everyone wanted to help us and kept checking on us at our hole. My only complaint is the bad walkways. They definitely need some upgrades.
played course 2 the ravines on 8/9/13. The worst $70.00 ever spent! Our T-time was set for 1:40pm payed a premium price of $70.00 to play a 6 hour round. 1st of all paying that kind of money there should be rangers out there making sure the pace of play is acceptable. The course was not maintained well and thought we were gonna get stung by hornets on the 2nd hole. there were hundreds of them. it's obvious they don't water the course or maintain it well. We complained about the rounds pace of play after our round and the person in the pro shop said he knew since most people also complained and told everyone that was starting after 3pm that they probably wouldn't finish. If you know that the pace of play is 6 hours a round you should get ranger out there to make sure people are moving at pace, but maybe that's there goal so you can keep buying there overpriced beer from the cart girl. Not sure who manages this place, but they're doing a terrible job. Also I live within 5 minutes away from this club! not sure how my friends talked me into playing here, I swore to myself last year that I wouldn't play here again. They really need a wake up call! There are lots of great courses in the area that I would much rather give my business to. I'm extremely disappointed with the management of this club. Save your money and go play somewhere else, where they appreciate your business. BTW good luck finding a water cooler on the course, and the golf carts are very old they don't even have a front glass to protect you from possibly being hit by a golf ball and also played Dubs Dread for $155 a round should have a GPS.
Some bad patches off the fairway, but otherwise best conditions I've played all year.
Beautiful facility with multiple courses. Maintained at pro-level standards and staffed by a friendly, helpful, and engaging crew of people.
Ok I guess I was expecting it to be a little more upscaled from hearing the HISTORY go the place.
Course was pretty beat up but I only paid 5$ so no complaints
Still a great place to golf and practice no matter your skill level of the game.
I love Dub's dead, especially the back nine. But I can't help but feel it is over priced for the current condition that it's in.
Was at a wedding at this location the other night. The banquet facility was beautiful and spacious and very comfortable. The food was very good, especially their chicken and Italian sausage. The only reason that I did not give a five star rating is that our table asked our server several times for coffee ( some of us over 40 like coffee towards the end of dinner) however by the time she returned with carafe, allour silverware and coffee cups had already been removed from the table.
It's sad what has happened to what used to be one of the best maintained bunch of courses in illinois. #2 is a dump. Yes it's aerated right now, tees fairways and greens but the tees are chewed, fairways burnt out or ripped up and greens are unplayable after a week old aeration. So overpriced...
Not only is the driving range and golf course world-class, the proshop and workers are also.
Played an amateur tournament on #4 Dubsdread yesterday and it was the hardest challenge! Enjoyable though. My advice: really spend some time on the practice putting green to get a better feel for the speed and get your bunker game ready. These are the hardest greens I've ever played on. You really get punished if you don't have a good feel for the speed. Lots of undulations you don't see until your ball starts rolling then BAM!...your ball curves right before it reaches the hole. Not for beginners.
Great covered driving range, with heated stalls on the west side.
Awesome venue and beautiful views! This was an awesome place to see my sister get married at
Its expensive to play and 1 and 3 are not much better than other local courses that are cheaper. Really nice clubhouse though.
I love this golf course. The rates are very affordable in my opinion (with the exception of Dubbs Dread). The staff is very nice and the driving range is top notch.
First the course was fantastic. Highly groomed and well cared for. We ate there and the food was very good. Service was also great!
Great golf course. All 4 courses are maintained to highest level and staff is friendly and helpful! Fantastic overall experience!!
Food was delicious.
Drinks where ok...
Played Dubs last week. The course is in pristine shape. One of the best courses in the country, too bad the pros will not be coming here after this year. It is hard to believe!!
Played number 2 on a Thursday 8/9/18 afternoon paid 74 dollars. Would have expected better conditions paying 74 dollars. Fairways were in horrible condition no sand to fill divets. It was 87 degrees didn t see a cart girl once. Girl at halfway house said outing on another course. She was very nice but still unacceptable. Way overpriced as they are still living off of Dubs being a PGA stop many years ago.
Dubsdread was a great course, really good layout and design but the conditions have slipped away ever since the BMW championship was moved. Nonetheless it's worth a play if you have a chance to.
My brother and I played course three. We paid 59 a person with a cart. We teed off at 10:47 am. The front nine took us 2 hours and 25 minutes to play. We had to jump around to finish our round in under 5 hours. The Ranger didn't say anything to the groups in front of us. We were a two and there were three groups of four in front of us but we waited on every single shot after the first hole. It was a joke. What's the point in having a ranger if you're not going to say anything about pace of play? It was absolutely ridiculous. Don't waste your time and money.
I absolutely love Cog Hill. It is my go to. The best gentleman's playground in the Chicago Land, four courses and an awesome driving range. Two things. 1) It needs to be brought up to date. 2) My uncle had a Scotty Cameron stolen out of his bag while we were hitting balls at the range before playing Dubsdread. We asked the guys in the Pro Shop and they said, "oh, that's happened a few times now. One guy had his whole bag stolen." Like, seriously. You don't have cameras? Which brings me back to 1) Needs to be brought up to date.
Was a great experience playing golf here. Played Dubsdread for the first time and it was awesome! Course was in great shape. Can t wait to go back again.
Course 2, good condition, surfaces were hard, and balls were rolling. Not always good for my game...but had a great time!
My review is based on the banquet service. I held my Daughter's Bridal Shower here on July 20th, 2014. I was absolutely blown away by the service, food, facilities & atmosphere. We had the Main Room. I started planning the shower in early April and had scoured the south suburbs for the "perfect" place. I had a difficult time finding somewhere that fit my needs. I was looking for a nice place with reasonable prices & good service. It sounds easier than it actually is! I found in my search that either the prices were ridiculously high for what you get or the people were rude to deal with. After feeling almost defeated, I decided to look into Cog Hill. Immediately upon calling to inquire I was taken with the friendly & helpful staff. First Luke helped with choosing which room would best suit my needs. We met with him to give the deposit & he was a very nice, professional young man. I even asked if they did "tastings" for showers so I could make a food decision. He said not usually but he would be happy to have me come in one day to have lunch & try what I wanted! I never did go back because of time restraints but as it got closer to our date, I received a call from Dan to touch base. He was a huge help & I decided on the Chicken Ala King, house salad, tomato basil soup & green beans almondine for our guests. Then topped it off with a strawberry sundae! Great decision because everyone raved about it! The food was high quality & very tasty. The servers were polite & attentive. Dan was amazing as well. Kept checking to make sure everything was just right for us. Even helped my husband at the end get carts for the gifts & take everything to the car! Choosing Cog Hill was the best decision I could've ever made. Definitely would highly recommend & definitely will be back! Thank you staff at Cog Hill!!
Lynn & Kenneth Schneider
Even the cheaper courses here are better than 7 out of 10 local courses.
You must play dubsdread at least once in your life if you re a serious golfer.
No cart girl for drinks!
UNACCEPTABLE
And the course was in worse condition than cheaper courses.
Sad to see a nice course go down.
Played the Ravines course and really enjoyed it. It was very beautiful and challenging. Lots of old and spectacular oak trees. Greens are not enigmatically debilitating. but just subtlety sloped. You'll enjoy your round (if you're not bouncing your ball like a pinball thru the oak trees like I did.)
I have been a player at Cog Hill for 15 years and have never been disappointed. The courses (1,2, and 3) are all excellent. In particular, course #2 Ravines, is perhaps the most enjoyable course I regularly play. Each course is in perfect condition, the staff are helpful, and the pace of play is always well managed. I highly recommend Cog Hill
Cog Hill used to be my go-to place for golf, and I'm not talking about Dubsdread.
I was actually a big fan of courses 1 and 3 because they were nice courses designed for the average player to be challenged, but also to have fun. They weren't too penalizing and they are on a lovely piece of land.
However, the last couple of times I have been there, I've been pretty disappointed. The course conditions have been so-so and the staff at the course have been less than welcoming.
I wish I could say otherwise, but I really can't recommend the Cog Hill complex any more. There are many, many more options in the Chicagoland area where you'll have a better experience for the same or less money.
Ravines is an excellent choice. Spend the extra green fees and golf the east side of the grounds.
Cog Hill has completely dropped the ball in regards to course management and pace of play. I've played Ravines at least 50 times in the past 3 years and have never seen it as slow as it's been the past couple months. I understand that COVID restrictions have made things difficult and more people are playing golf than ever before, but when it takes 5:50 to play 18 holes on a Saturday morning, you've lost the course.
Well kept - Premier course for the avid golfer. More forgiving courses for the average player. Good service / amenities and staff.
What a beautiful beautiful Golf Course. Chris flick I'm going to miss you you're like family to me. You really beautiful tight ship all of your people have great personalities
Was there for Mother's Day Brunch. Really nice...Food was great and the service was better. Thanks Nicole...
Golfed here on 10/08/16 paid 135 dollars to play Dubs. I enjoy spending a little extra to play courses like this about once a month. This was my first experience and Cog Hill and it will also be my last. Upon pulling in and getting my clubs out of the car there was no one at the bag drop, so i walked my clubs into the club house and had to place them on the golf cart myself. While in the clubhouse not only was I told it was cart path only but they had also just aerated the greens the week before (which i was not told about when i booked the tee time over the phone). Then we go to the driving range to hit range balls and it was more mud than grass. I am not sure if they are replanting or what but it was not in good shape. So i paid full price to play a course that you literally couldn't putt on because it was so bumpy from aeration, we had to play auto 2 putt becasue trying to make a 3 footer was even impossible. As for the course it was very wet which is a little understandable because we have had a lot of rain the last few weeks. However, I played Seven Bridges the day before and it was no where near was wet as Cog. I think Seven Bridges or Ruffled Feathers is just as nice for less than half the price. If you want to play just because they had tournaments there over 5 years ago please save your money.
This is probably the best hill in the state of Illinois. There are many hills in Illinois but this one is pretty great. The staff here is ok except for the wonderful lady who helped me eat appetizers at the wedding, she's amazing.
Great day to hit a bucket of balls. Practice range in great condition.
Good golf courses friendly play play there every Sunday love it
Insanely slow rounds. They have no marshall out so it takes 5.5-6hrs a round.
Best golf range I have been too. Gives ball and club statistics on mat hitting. Friendly and well equipped club house.
Played #4 better bring your best sand game greens were perfect
Great experience as always, and having Frank Jemsek personally greet us and thank us for coming is so nice
Awesome course, just enough challenges and openness for all skill levels. Great caddy, his help was spot on.
Course was really nice only complaint was the marshal. Kept riding us all morning saying we were slow when no one was behind us and we were on about a 3 1/2 hour pace. Dude was rude and cussed us a few times. Will not go back there!
1 and 3 are blah 2 is okay and 4 is let s just say have fun. You get punished for a bad shot just the way it should be great track if you get a chance to play once take it !!
Shot Tracer range is a game changer. Makes practicing fun and allows you to learn your yardages.
