The service is great and fast. Lupe burrito is a must.
The service is great and fast. Lupe burrito is a must.
Good spot, have all the favorite Mexican foods. The Texas burrito and the chimichanga are real fantastic
Ordered Monday night, 8pm. No one in the restaurant but one table of 3 women. They could have given our order much more attention. Food was blah, unseasoned, cold. No sear on the steak, everything soggy. Forgot the wraps for the fajitas! How can you eat fajitas without the wrap? Just not a good experience. Hoping to find a great Mexican restaurant in the Willoughby area!!
My drinks was awesome strawberry mango margarita. My Fajita Texacana was ok. My son had the seafood dip,Texas Burrito and churro with ice cream he says it was really good. The chips and salsa was excellent as well, the service was great the only thing they need to do is change them dish rags the menus smelled horrible from being wiped down with a dish rag that needed to be washed.
Fast and very friendly service. Steak quesadillas are amazing.
Coming from someone who doesn't like Mexican food, I loved my time here :) 10/10
Got the shrimp and steak fajitas. They added chicken which wasn't on the menu. I can't complain I guess. I really enjoyed the salsa best I've had at any local Mexican restaurants. I also ordered the chile Verde. I was expecting a green chile like what I asked the waitress if it was. It wasn't but it was still good.
Nachos are amazing, fire fajitas come set on fire!!
Always get good food here, the margaritas are really good along with the service and prices.
Salsa is top notch while you are waiting to order. Service is good, food is also good. I will be back for sure.
I love their food. Customer service has always been great and they serve awesome portion sizes!
Great food friendly atmosphere the best wait staff
Edit: After the change in ownership the food quality dropped slightly. menu not as unique. I miss the old owners.
Service was nice and quick, however the food tasted like a microwave meal and it probably was based on how quick the food was brought out. Also, meat quality is about on par with Taco Bell. Would not recommend this place.
Cute little place, just ok. My husband liked his burrito but my steak was very thin and I didn't get the veggies I asked for. Just ok
It smells great the moment you walk in and the decor is colorful it feels like a story as you look around. Drinks were great. We ordered a steak fajita and an enchilada entre. The fajita order came back as chicken so it was sent back they must've rushed the order because before we got home my boyfriend became ill.
Waited about forty minutes longer than expected for takeout. Canned corn on my veggie quesadilla. A lone, mysterious pea. Looked sloppy. Tasted pretty bad. No thank you, no thank you, no thank you. Never again. Two stars is me being generous
If you're in the mood for Mexican food, I'd recommend El Palenque on Vine St. Or even the Taco Bell across the street. You'll be infinitely less disappointed either way
Willoughby poco loco, overpriced, we felt ripped off didn t even have a buzz when the three of us left but spent 50 bucks on liquor, they definitely lost our business forever,
Amazing staff and prices loved every bite! Very authentic
Just tried for the first time - delicious food, very nice people. Will definitely be back.
Food it's ok. It's not completely mexican but it's ok
Decent Mexican food without the fluff. Good service, friendly staff, freshly prepared food.
We ve been to this location multiple times and always the same experience. Zero concerns here.
Excellent food. Great value. Wonderful variety of items on the menu.
Cocos locos used to be the best mexican restaurant around by far. We used to eat there 1 to 2 times a week, every week. When they reopened after being closed for a couple months we were so happy, little did we know it was new owners and crappy food but under the same name. The rice comes on tge plate in a scoop shape, they dont even spread it out ir try to hide that now they used a tiny scoop for the ruce for every dinner plate. The chicken was bland, ZERO taste. Hiw disappointing, Cocos went from the best to the worst and raised their prices for half the portion
The food was ok. Nice choices on the menu.. Only one girl in there was friendly though, the hostess. The other's were very blah including our server who seemed bothered that we were there.
Very good delicious food for a Mexican restaurant located in Ohio, not disappointed at all!!!
Being from Houston I enjoyed authentic Mexican food several times first hand; however, Cocos Locos it's a really great place where you can enjoy a Mexican dish, specially their fresh guacamole made right in front of your table, that's truly awesome!!!
Best we've had since @casanuevo in Athens #ohiouniversity We'll be back soon!
Love it here one of my favorite local resturants! Service is always amazing! Salsa is soooooo good! Anything I or anyone that I've been with have ordered is always so good! My boyfriend and his dad have tried multiple items on the menu and when were out in Willoughby area its often the first place that comes to mind! Bottom line is great food, service, staff and super affordable!
One of The best restaurants in lake county. But whatever you do, don't let them know it's your birthday or you'll be in for a grand surprise! Summary: great spot, great food, excellent service... Oh and the tiki bar is prime!
The food and the service being that it with Cinco de Mayo we're outstanding. Food was good place was busy they handled it well. Will definitely go back again.
Excellent authentic Mexican cuisine! Amazing food and amazing service!!!!!
BEWARE! Visited for the first time in about two years. Used to frequent this place often when I lived in the area. I used to call it the best Mexican food in northeast Ohio and recommended it to everyone. I read they changed owners within the last year or so. NOW IT S AWFUL! The food is bland. No taste whatsoever. They smother everything in cheese hoping to cover up the tasteless garbage they serve. The service is terrible. There were two small parties eating in the restaurant and we felt like we were bothering the server just by being there. The prices are outrageous for what you get. Any other Mexican restaurant is on average 2 dollars less per meal. This place is a rip off. Go to Taco Bell. You will get better food and pay way less. It s such a disappointment that this little hidden gem is now owned by people who clearly don t value their customers and have super low standards for the food people pay hard earned money to purchase. The only reason this place has more than a 1 star rating is because they are riding the coat tails of what used to be a fantastic place to eat.
Standard Mexican food. Great service and big portions.
Love Mexican food but this place missed the mark with me. It served its purpose for a quick bite to eat before going to see Yesterday at the Willoughby Commons theater down the street, but did not make it to where I would consider it as a dining experience when wondering where to go for dinner.
The fish tacos were moldy! I called to let them know and she couldn t understand what I was trying to say. We did not eat our entire $30 meal as a precautionary. I am sure a lot of people will be sick tonight from this.
If your looking for nachos- this may not be the place. Salad on top of chicken & beef. Couple of super soggy nachos below
This is the real deal in mexican food. The atmosphere is perfect and the prices are quite reaonable. For those with picky kids they do offer a standard American kids menu.
This is one of our favorite a Mexican restaurants. The burritos are huge and delicious. The staff is wonderful.
Always a 4 or 5, the Jalisco and Traditional burritos, the cheese salsa, the tortilla soup, and the Flan were really great.
One of the best Mexican restaurants around! Amazing food!
I LOVE this place and so does my family. Quick and efficient service and incredible flavors. Small, traditional, and friendly. Fair prices, colorful atmosphere! A true gem in Willoughby! Great salsa and chimichangas!
My friends and I ordered takeout not too long ago.
Everything was soggy. The chimichangas were nasty, especially the ground beef one. The salsa taste like canned pico de Gallo mixed with water- literally flavorless. How is salsa flavorless? The best part of the whole meal was the chips and Queso.
Shredded Chicken Tacos!!!
I love this place! Ive taken dates, friends, and family, never had a bad meal. Sometimes the service is a little lacking, but the food is always worth the wait. The food is fresh, affordable, and tasty!
Think about them for Taco Tuesday, also a margarita special, I think Mondays, but I forget.
Loved the food. Amazing wait staff! Very fun evening
A great restaurant to go to after being at the hospital across the street all day. Prompt, friendly service. Fresh, hot & tasty food. Just beware of the drink menu, which has no pricing printed on it. I ended up with a $10.99 margarita that was bigger than my cat's head with a lot of ice in it. I'll return again and check out their happy hour specials for more reasonable options. Overall, worth checking out.
Great service and great food. Margaritas were good too!
Fantastic taste, quality and presentation of the food. Prices are fair and atmosphere is a warm Mexican vibe. They had a sign up that they have balloon art presentations for entertainment at specified times.
Went here for lunch after spending way too much time at LW hospital right across the street. My hubby and I were seated promptly. Service was friendly. Food arrived quickly. I ordered the vegetarian special of a cheese quesadilla, bean burrito and potato enchilada. Everything was fresh, hot and tasty.
I wanted to give 5 stars, but there was a few cons involved. No drink prices on the drink menu. Yeah, I should have asked the price of that margarita before ordering it, but I made the mistake of ASSuming it couldn't be that expensive. No way Jose, I was waaay wrong! $10.99 for a chalice of margarita that was bigger than my cat's head and filled with a lot of ice. It was made nice, did the trick, but dang!!!
Also, the tables in that place were very low, so you had to hunch over when eating. And the floor was super slick, like it had just been waxed. I was praying that I didn't fall. Other than those gripes, it was a pleasant experience. I might go back during a happy hour.
That people here are really nice, and they like to joke around. The food is really good with good portions.
We really enjoyed this place. Small but really cute. Food was great!
This place is awesome! Staff is super friendly and fun, and the food is to die for. I seriously recommend the chicken chimichangas and flaan (sp??) as dessert.
Love the tacos, I felt like I was in tiajuana again. The staff is friendly and I love the decor. Makes me wanna visit Mexico again.
Things changed here. Food wasn't as good as the past. This use to be the kids favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Not anymore.
The food was good the price was fair service service was very good I would go back I have been back several times
My margarita was salty and had zero alcohol in it. Said something to the waitress who also happens to. be the bartender and she shrugged her shoulders and said oh. My order was brought out incorrect. Overall appearance of food and taste was a 2/10. With the exception of the beans which is 7/10 for taste 1/10 for portion. When i picked up my beans it was gone in 1 tbsp. Will not be returning.
Been there three times now! For a sit down dinner. I think I'm developing a habit!!! Wonderful staff, wonderful food = Very happy patron!
Our favorite Mexican restaurant in western Lake County. Large portions, great food, excellent service. Reasonable prices and fast kitchen.
I really liked the food, authentic Mexican and the margaritas were pretty good too. The staff was very attentive and the restaurant looked very clean. I will go back.
Good food near a lot of places to spend time with family food fast and hot ready to eat
Today my aunt and I stopped into their restaurant I normally go to the mentor location and have no issues what s so ever. We were seated quickly and someone came to take out drink order, we both asked for sweet tea and we received raspberry tea instead no big deal we kindly just asked for water and a lemonade. We got cheese sauce and pico to go with our chips and ordered chimichangas from there lunch special. My aunt I asked for no ranchero sauce but when our food came it was covered in it which caused the chimichangas to become soggy. I politely ask the waiter if I could get another without the sauce and she told me that they couldn t do this so I told her I was ok then and didn t want it. She returns with someone else who explained that they couldn t make any modification to the food and that we would still need to pay for the food we weren t even going to eat my aunt and I were both in shock and the owner came out to explain that they weren t doing any modification yet again because of the pandemic and that we need to pay and if we didn t that we would be band. The owner then told us to get out and leave so we did just that. Seconds later a woman is running after us to pay for the cheese sauce and pico after her boss had already kicked us out we handed her 10$ and left. Worst experience I ve ever had at a restaurant, absolutely no professionalism or customer service displayed here. Not to mention I m 37 weeks pregnant if I don t want to eat something I m not.
