Went there for a late lunch yesterday and had such a great time. The vibe was great, the manager (or owner?) on duty asked how we were doing which is always nice, and the food was great. Our server, Cameron, was very attentive and personable which made the day even better! I had the deconstructed fish tacos and they tasted great. I ll be back soon!

This is the place my daughter asked for when she wanted a fancy dinner for her birthday. They did not disappoint! I'm writing this during COVID but the Coast Guard House had a wonderful outdoor setup for social distancing. Beautiful private "igloos" for each group! Honestly, they were so cozy, I hope they keep them after the pandemic ends.

The food is delicious. They were able to make my dinner to order as I have a bunch of allergies. I had been craving scallops and the pan seared scallops here we're delicious. My daughter and her friend split lobster mac and cheese and the duck entree. Something new for each of them and they were quite pleased.

I highly recommend making a stop here if you are on vacation in Rhode Island.

Walked in for lunch one month ago...we got seated but no waitress came to our table. We waited a good 15 minutes. The place looks like it needs a good cleaning. Maybe during season it's different... don't know otherwise. We left.

Went here last week. They served my water in a plastic disposable cup with a plastic straw, outside. So, where do they think these things end up when a gust of air takes them from the table. I didn't ask for a proper reusable glass because I didn't want to insult my host (and my plastic cup would have ended up in the trash). But, Coast Guard House - WAKE UP AND SMELL THE PLASTIC IN OUR OCEANS!!! China does not take our recyclable trash any more, and by the year 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in our oceans. Consumers and customers of this restaurant: please let your server know that you do not want a straw or a plastic cup.

The food is ok...table full of obnoxious kids behind us (at 7:00) was a huge bummer. Adults were sitting a table away from their kids, seriously! Would've stayed for another cocktail but no thanks.

Great food, great views, great service. A little on the pricey side, but it's arguably the nicest restaurant in South County. This place gets super packed during the Summer, but you basically need to visit this place if it's your first time in Narragansett.

I had lunch which turned into dinner at the Coast Guard House. Hostess was very friendly and accomodating. Restaurant had a great location and really good food. My experience was strictly with our server. We were seated at 3:15 and it took 15 minutes before I asked another server who was our waitress so I could order a drink. This forshadowed the service we received. It continued to spiral and an hour and a half later we received our entrees and mine was incorrect. Instead of being sincerely apologetic, she tried to say I ordered the wrong entree because dinner was being served and not lunch anymore. The manager offered his apologies and I had to eat my entree after everyone else was finished. I was disappointed that my dinner was not taken off our bill and we were offered a complimentary dessert. By this time, I wanted out of there. I have never received such an attitude from a server who obviously was not doing her job. My sister has been there often and never received the service we did that day. Note to manager, relieve her of her duties!

My daughter and I went here to celebrate some accomplishments. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious. The service was awesome. And of course, the ocean view was just beautiful. We look forward to returning, soon.

Service was professional throughout, great menu, very reasonable prices given the location, service and quality of the food. Daughter's medium skirt steak came out closer to well done. We mentioned it to the manager who had brought it out, but just as we did, my daughter said it was fine. He mouthed, "thank you" (ie, he knew they dodged a bullet on that one). Nevertheless, a perfect medium skirt steak materialized at our table a few minutes later.

Wife's scallop dish was flawless. It's easy to get perfectly cooked scallops in many places, it's not as easy to find them paired with anything as delicious as what they have here. Definitely recommended, and fairly priced at $26.

My swordfish was a generous portion paired with a zesty tomato gazpacho, very good.

Dessert was the coconut tres leche, also delicious.

Despite the restaurant being full, our water glasses never got below half full, very attentive service throughout. We'd go back in a flash.

It was a muggy October day so we were able to sit outside with an amazing oceanfront view in front of us and a lovely fire behind us. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent mostly, and by that I mean - everything we ordered except for the clam linguini definitely fell into that category. The oysters were fresh and clean; the scallops with grits and bacon jam was out of this world in flavor; the tomato beet salad was mouthwatering; both the clam chowder and the lobster bisque won our praises; and the steak on a bed of arugula was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, the linguini dish just came up a bit bland in comparison. That's not to say it was bad but if the kitchen is open to suggestions, mine would be to add more garlic (because it is listed as such on the menu) and decrease the amount of pasta by at least a 1/4. The presentation of the dish was lovely, however, and we had a wonderful time. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

I was here for a 'Girls' birthday lunch, there were 7 of us. Service was excellent and our waitress was very accommodating, as was the rest of the staff. Food and drinks were excellent and the view was to die for! It was a birthday party so we brought our own decorations and cake, which the staff had sliced and served for us no problem. I would highly recommend Coast Guard House

We have eaten here 3 times since the re-opening and have had great experiences. We loved everything that we tried and the staff are personable and knowledgeable. It really is worth going there, just for the view, both outside, of course, and inside! (This is relating to the dining room).
