Stopped by for lunch before returning our rental car to fly out. The food was really tasty. We had table 8 a really nice corner table with views of the vine and the bay. The portions were large, tasty and very flavorful. A definate if you are hungry and in the area. The pulled pork sandwich was $21 the hot smoked meat platter was $32.

Many of the better wineries in Tasmania also have excellent restaurants and this is definitely one of them. In February, we brought my wheelchair-bound sister here to celebrate her birthday and we could not have chosen a better place. We were a party of 5 and we were given a table in the window with fantastic views.

The meal was excellent and the wine well served. The service was friendly and efficient. We started with a plate of olives and some smoked nuts. This was followed by a variety of main dishes, all of which were delicious and we finished off with dessert and coffee. We tried a couple of bottles of wine (the Cabernet Merlot and the Sauvignon Blanc) both of which were excellent. The toilets were spotless and access was easy for the wheelchair. All in all an excellent day out and though not cheap (I think it cost around $60 per head including extras and a tip), I felt it was excellent value.

Flew in from Melb on Friday 2 February 2018 and had lovely late lunch out in the sun. Food, menu, service surroundings great; what a way to relax on our first day of a 3 week road tour of Tasmania. Just the a great location before heading over the bridge to Hobart. Our next visit to Tassie will be back to here and we have recommended this place to friends.

Absolutely beautiful, not only are the views amazing but the wine and food are reasonably priced and scrumptious! Staff was attentive and very friendly. Will most definitely be back in winter for another break from Melbourne. CHEERS until then!

Lovely setting, but I found the tasting experience to be quite patronising, and thimble like in their pour measures. Barely enough to even truly get an idea of the characteristic of the wine.

For lunch, the food was good and very flavoursome, but took more than 2.5 hours to have two courses, eating into precious time in our day. Such a shame.

Overall quite disappointed in our experience and I feel there could be better alternatives nearby.

BE CAREFUL CHOOSING THIS PLACE

BE CAREFUL CHOOSING THIS PLACE
I am so unimpressed about the treatment I received today after having
book about four weeks ago for a function at the end of November.
I left my phone number and requested to be contacted if they had any problems. I was given the menu by the owner/manager. He suggested to come back to talk to his wife who wasn't there that day.
To my surprise they have booked another group ahead of my booking on the same day and they didn't even contacted me. It is appealing and sad that after so many years that my family and I been patrons to this place we couldn't even been acknowledge or considered. The wife was arrogant and unhelpful taking no responsibility. Now I have to find a new place and start from scratch with little time ahead of me.
I am positive about this bad experience and the lesson to learn here is:
Choose a professional place to do your reservations. A poor customer attitude and bad management is not the place to bring your family and friends. Hobart has a lot to offer with good venues and sadly places like this won't survive.

You can't do better than this place for the scenery, with beautiful views from the dining area and patio. We opted to have our tasting flight of wines with lunch at their restaurant. The wines were nice, the pulled pork sandwiches were delicious. I'd say it's a must visit when touring Coal River Valley wineries, and highly recommended for lunch.

Great customer service with friendly staff and very knowledgeable about their wines and the region.
Food was fantastic, we got a few things to share with our group which were really tasty. Well worth heading over to this winery for a visit.

The good news is the wineries only get better from here. The wines were truly terrible and the Riesling was a standout.
The salesman tried to convince me that the overwhelming acidity was a desired trait and not a reason to spit it out.

Bad experience. Drinks were good, but 3 out of the 4 meals ordered were awful. Asked for money back. Better food at McDonalds. One of the waitress's was participating rude. Save your money. The only good thing about this place is the view.

If I pay a reasonable price I expect product and service commensurate with the amount. At this establishment we were rewarded amazingly well. The food, wine, beer and service was fantastic. A lunchtime event for a small group to celebrate a birthday was handled by happy and positive staff. The food was artistic and as such met very high standards of selection, presentation and taste. The drinks too were the best one should expect.
I note a reviewer has complained about this place but I also note ALL the reviews written by this person are negative! (apart from one about parking).
I would highly recommend this place and from the look of the happy faces of the many people enjoying themselves I am sure they would too.
