Nice airport but taxi mafia and corruption controlling taxi and exploiting tourists. It's out of control. Now drivers booked through online services are getting violently beaten.

Police and the airport need to clamp down on the airport taxi mafia.

And any airport his size should allow and provide a designated a public and private shuttle service area.

The airport is clean and organized. Long lines at customs.

Advice taxi: will name you a price 3x too expansive. So, you will need to negotiate. For example Seminyak 350,000 should be 100,000. They are very convincing, look we paid already 50,000 for parking no, they did not. They payed like 16,000, it s just shown on the ticket. They will smile, they will make it look like your crazy.. Just stay calm, keep walking into the parking house and know the price. Let say 13,000 per km would be a fair price.

Ok, this time what I'm sharing is not the service, because maybe it's still early, so the airport maids are barely visible ...
at the moment the airport is in the construction phase, so it makes the scene less earthy, hopefully quickly resolved ...

After being renovated, Bali's Ngurah Rai international airport has undergone many changes, in addition to public facilities such as prayer rooms and modern toilets with good hygiene. Friendly staff compared to 5 yrs then I visited Bali. Many interesting spots for taking pictures. Various Balinese souvenirs are also available here at affordable prices. The waiting room for the boarding house is very crowded

During our custom scan, they told us that we aren t allowed to bring along a small bottle of unwritten or no label of volume perfume through. It was a 30ml refill bottle and they took it away. Besides,I was also bringing along a 100ml perfume with a label on it. It was obviously a small 30ml bottle, even when I was at Cangi or Abu dhabi there was no problem with it. Lousyyy and typical staff

The part for national flights is nice, cheap, pleasant outdoor smoking area with cafe. The international terminal is a pure rip-off. Significantly overpriced, a smoker room that looks more like a sardine can without the possibility to buy drinks. Anyone who knows the difference will really feel upset

Worst experience ever.

Worst experience ever.
I booked an AirAsia flight to Bangkok at midnight, but no staff was there to check my bags. I had to self-check in, however since the bags weren t checked in, all of my liquids were taken at the security.
Also the security staff didn t understand English enough to call anyone from AirAsia to explain. I m seriously disappointed towards the service of the airport.
I m never using Air Asia from this airport again.

One of the best airports in Indonesia. Immaculate and it has many stores such as Beard's Papa, branded clothing, perfumery, and etc. When I was there, there was a renovation outside the arrival terminal. But it's OK, it's all for good cause, rite? Another thing I like about this airport is you can see GWK statue from afar.

Only airport in the world that confiscates selfiesticks. And I had such a beautiful one that doubled as a tripod and had a beautiful little remote control that connected via Bluetooth to my phone. Most upsetting, even infuriating!

The international airport is quite large and wide....

The international airport is quite large and wide. Many memories related to separation and meeting here hehe
If you want to go out of town (domestic) from Bali, then after checking in, enter the waiting room and then shop and eat first. So we have to take the escalator first after that, go around first and not directly reach the waiting room.
But the airport is clean and comfortable.
Plugs for cellphone chargers are also available in several spaces.
There are also many places to eat, so there is no need to be afraid of lapses, as long as you bring money or have money on a debit card or a credit card to pay hehehe
Because the airport is wide so check-in time we will be told you know how many planes will land at the gate so you can find a seat near the gate you are going to. The instructions for looking for the gatenyaa are also clear, but if you don't get the wrong gate, the problem is that there are a few gates that are a bit far away from the others, but you can still go by road or run (not like Jakarta if you have to move on a bus or something)
For domestic departures, there is only 1 terminal here, so I don't need to worry

Nice modern airport with friendly staff, fast services and high security. Since the tax is already included in the flight fare there is no need anymore to make another unwanted queue at the tax collection counter. The Airport also has quite a few eateries and shopping options.

Pro

Pro
- easy to navigate
- feel cooler on the inside than outside even without AC
- have food and souvenir shops
- there is no 200,000 rp airport tax

Con
- everything here are overpriced, $20 usd for a burger + 20% tax. $50 usd for a blank book.
- still hot inside need AC
- workers at Hardrock Cafe need to be more attentative to their customers. i already finished my meal and they still haven't got my drink. Customers waiting to be seated but no one serve them.
- a lady works at the security desk doesn't know what she was doing- asking for my boarding pass wdh?

Drinks are not permitted pass the boarding gate.

Bad experience and an opportunist place. WOULD NOT COME HERE AGAIN !!

Check-in process, immigration were smooth. Security check only asks laptop to be removed.sealed water bottles will be taken away without notice. Bathrooms were good with water and tissue paper. Reaching the gate was easy. Exchanging USD were easy but rates were less. Don't exchange in the first money changer you see after signal. Keep walking, and pick the last one who will give coins to spend in airport.ATM exists. INR conversion were not available easily. Free WiFi. SIM cards were available to purchase. Install a currency Conversion app from IDR to USD or INR. Everything will cost in millions. Tips are expected.

Alhamdullilah .. the place is very comfortable ..
people "here are very friendly and kind"
I apologize to all elements of society in Bali if I make a mistake, intentionally or unintentionally and there is a violation of the rules and prohibitions of the indigenous people in Bali ..
be it what I say, or my actions and behavior ...

I apologize for "it" to all elements of Balinese society ..

The international airport is the pride of the people of Bali and Indonesia who have become the nation's display window.

After being renovated it becomes much better, more luxurious, and more proud.

Almost all aspects are getting better, but from personal experience there are some things that still need to be refined, such as the lack of garbarata facilities / proboscis ladders to several times going up / down the plane to get rained on.

And the international arrivals terminal before immigration seemed empty, even though it was the room that was first entered by international flight passengers, so it felt like an empty building.

That is the impression that I feel, everything else is really ok

Good airport (Domestic) but:

Good airport (Domestic) but:
1. Taxi Officially makes the service sick:
- As soon as the exit gate is offered many officers / drivers / * brokers *
- Expensive official rates are negotiable
- There is no Agrometer Taxi
- Online tariffs can be more than double by reason of traffic jams
2. Some toilets are broken and must be queued for a long time
3. The airport manager * hates smokers **

Getting dirtier and messier. Our son had hurt his leg. No first aid post at the airport. We had to go out to buy betadine and bandages. He had hurt himself by the way on a broken trolley stand (tube with sharp edge). Airport is declining at lightning speed.

This airport is quite good. The staff are nice, the design is very unique and efficient (Traditional on the outside, and modern on the inside) and there is good food and shopping options. It does lose stars though, as I vomited due to the food I had at one of the restaurants and there is poor maintenance and cleanliness in some areas. Overall, this airport is pretty good.

A great airport in Asia. The space, the signage, the processing speed, the configuration, the cultural aspects.

Lots of immigration agents to process passports which is a very good point (the pain point of most south east asian airports). Easy to get a taxi from the taxi center (just when you exit the airport). Pricing for Ubud was 350k (likely you can get a cheaper price if you walk out of the airport).

The departure area is way better than the arrival area. Lots of shops. The air cond is perfectly set. It's not freezing like in some airport in Asia (esp the Hong Kong one). Lots of food. There is even a hard rock cafe!

All in all, good job to the ones who manage this.

Nice airport. Very busy. Taxi's are great, fast service. Nice clean airport, could do with more seats inside. As we checked in, everyone was everywhere on the floor, not enough seats. But overall nice airport. The food inside very expensive, quiet shocked to be honest.

Always love stepping my feet on this airport because it is full of Bali vibes already. Spacious, bright, and new. The toilet is also plenty and clean. The waiting areas are organized. Maybe it would be good if it has more restaurants

Appears to be a big airport but was quite quick to get out. Having a 2 yr old helped since they have a fast track for the young and needy. Took taxi from the airport itself to our hotel. Didn't haggle the price since it seemed standard and monopolised. Also got local SIM card. Quite cheap data packages. Need to look around a bit before you buy as it can be busy and you might be persuaded to buy what is recommended by them. Also saw a huge food court once we came out on the road. If you are really hungry I guess it's easy to grab food here.

Update:
The departure waiting area is quite small. Few good coffee shops before you enter inside. Couldn't check the prices. The area itself is quite small actually. Once you are inside after the formalities there are only few eating places and the prices are very very expensive. I guess better to eat before and come or pack own food if you are on a budget.

Otherwise the time taken for formalities was quite ok. They allowed packets of milk and water for my toddler without any fuss or much explanation.
