Getting through their security was slow and tedious. They should get scanners for bags like the airport has. The tour is only an hour and you really can't photograph anything. Not really sure it's worth it, unless you've never been backstage at a studio before.

This tour was somewhat boring. No interactive exhibits. One follows a tour guide around and listens to a ho hum monologue describing how many households receive the network.
Not worth the price of admission.

I was absolutely not impressed. The tour didn't start on time and it was harder getting through their security then it was at the airport, which for anyone experienced with airport travel, knows it's not easy. The tour doesn't have a whole lot to offer and it definitely felt like we did more walking and waiting then we did learning interesting things and seeing anything fascinating. I had higher expectations. Plus the ticket for the tour had a $2 off coupon for a restaurant that expired in 2016, and it's almost 2018. Fake promotions, too, apparently. They definitely aren't on top of it and it all just seems like a ploy to make money.

The GM happened to meet us at the Hostess Station and he was very nice and polite! The food was extremely delicious and prepared just right! I highly recommend this restaurant, McCormick and Schmidt.

A 45-50 min tour of some of the CNN headquarters. They take you through a path and you get to see into various studios. It would be good for those who know nothing about how the news is made. It is a cool thing to see once, I don't think I need to go again. Overall I went with a city pass and it was worthwhile.

The tour staff is incredible, but the content you get just isn't enough for the price you pay.

You see mostly replicas of the actual newsrooms- anyone can imagine what a replica newsroom looks like. You get to watch a little video, look in from above on ONE actual CNN room, see some model newsrooms, and peer through some windows to get basically the same view as you have from standing in the cafeteria for free. For over fifteen dollars, the tour is underwhelming.

But, as I said, the tour staff are angels. And you get to ride the giant escalator- supposedly the longest freestanding escalator in the world, ascending 8 stories. So that's something.

Really fun experience that would be great for anyone of any age to tour. My reason for four stars is because of the restrictions on photo taking on the tour. As a journalism major who understands a few things about a newsroom, I didn t see anything so secret that guests can t share with their friends. Otherwise, it is a great activity if you have an extra hour or two in Atlanta.

Went on field trip with one of my children for the group tour. Though I don't care for the network itself, the tour was fairly informative and interesting. Definitely very basic information and great for the age group (5th). Would think you would want a more in depth tour for older kids who may be interested in a career in that field.

Not worth paying for on it's own
The staff was nice ,only do this if you have a city pass. If you don't know what a city pass is looking up saves you over 50 dollars. Impressive view but the tour was short. I expected more.

Chandler was our tour guide, she has been there for only a few months and is probably more knowledgeable than most people there. The reason for the 4 star is because the tour is not very detailed or in depth. You just walk by a series of Windows and listen to their description of what's in the room. I've done other tv station tours and this was lackluster.. oh, and to get the photos, it's 35$, not worth it. Lastly, the biggest turnoff was the security guy making Taliban jokes and telling a lady he wants nothing to do with witch craft.. yes you read that right. It was absolutely out of line.

I went on the 5 P.M. tour. It was a just bad timing. Didn't get to see any live recordings or anything. The 50 min tour wan't worth the $16. You can just see their sets behind a glass. Security is so tight (X-rays, etc) and a bunch of guards follow you throughout the tour, it's kinda annoying but I don't complain because it's a necessity for them to protect CNN.
Ground floor lobby was great for having food. It has a bunch of well known fast food chains. If you're visiting the Aquarium, Coca Cola and CNN together, CNN is the best place to have lunch.
There's a parking in front of the CNN building which will cost you $10 for the whole day (no hourly parking).
Their CNN building is cool tho, with the 8 floor escalator.

We had his ticket in our city pass book but didn't use it. We felt the amount of wait time wasn't worth the tour. We watched it online and just decided to drop it. I think this stop should be replaced in the city pass.

From the street you can't tell that they actually have a Food Court or even some souvenir shops inside. Even the lobby is unimpressive and uninviting. Once inside you see a whole lot of fast food joints to choose from. Must be one of Atlanta's top secrets.

we took our family on the tour they have, and boy was it interesting!
longest escalator in the world? take that China! haha.
Im amazed to see how a green screen works, and was funny to see the guy dresssed in green on the screen, kids liked seing the news live and wanted to be on tv.
good times really.

Very nice place, if you are a journalist or student or you just like CNN, a visit to this place is mandatory. My only observation is that the tour should include some interaction in a studio.

I saw they are planning on adding more to the tour. It was nice overall but I expected a little more especially being a broadcasting major. The steps was a lot especially for those with small children. Customer service attendants at the front were super sweet and accommodating.
