CNN Greece Review

We had read previous reviews for The Omni at CNN Center and are highly impressed at receiving the same excellent customer service and care as others have! We arrive Saturday morning at 11am and the front desk did not even hesitate to allow us checking in early. The conversation was friendly and inviting, even asking if there was any special occasion we were celebrating. We mentioned it was our birthday and by the time we arrived to our room, there were balloons taped to the door and champagne with fruit waiting for us inside! Only staying one night, our room was cleaned twice with new towels, new sheets and dusted nightstands. Spectacular views of the park from our room. There is construction throughout the CNN Center to match the more modern appeal of the North wing however, it would not keep me from staying there again. Highly recommend!

Great tourist attraction. Plenty of choices where to eat. First place we went to when we moved here.

The CNN Studio Tour was a lot of fun and great for folks who watch CNN or want to know more about telivision filming & distribution. We took the VIP tour which gave us a lot more time to explore and ask questions (and even meet some CNN anchors.) Our tour guide, Robyn was wonderful. Although, security guards follow you from room to room, which easily could make guests feel uncomfortable. Overall a lot of fun. Make sure to go on a weekday so you can see live shows being filmed.

Very boring. Yes you have a large escalator, blah, blah, blah. Coundn't wait for the tour to end to get out and do something more fun or educational.

Worth visiting , but if you hsve limited time dont mind skipping it.

Love CNN. Went on studio tour and enjoyed it very much.. Next time I want VIP tour.

Exciting to learn insights on how CNN works. From the news room, to the behind the scene workings of a news giant!

I have been watching, listening, and learning from CNN & as well as CNN student news during my Middle and High School Years (I would still even watch it whenever I have the chance). This company among several others are the ones you want to see and hear some news from not just any city, not just any nation and/or country.... but the entire world! One out of my many of my careers in my life is to be working for a company like this. I have grown so much attached to this channel and the app that it and its employees have inspired me to keep moving forward to what I want to achieve in life and this is just one of them. If you want to hear some news, I suggest choosing something like this!!!!

Interesting and informative tour. Quite a bit of walking up and down the stairs but not too bad.

So the tour guide did a very good job. The tour itself was interesting. Lynn Smith said hello to our group and also rode in the elevator with us and was very nice. So why only four stars? That had to do with our security guard... The one who followed us along for most if not all of our tour. I am not saying he needs to be super nice, however he should not be rude or mean or disrespectful. And he was actually a little bit of all of that. At one point treating us so crudely it actually felt like we were cattle and he was driving us down the chute to get zapped in the head. Not cool.... too bad CNN. Efficient, effective and yet polite...training perhaps???

It was interesting to see how fake news is created.

This was an OK tour not too impressive. It is cool to see the center but the has many restrictions.
Even with the city pass you still need to make reservation for the tours at the ticket kiosk.
No photos allowed on the entire trip with the exception of the first news room
Not really kids friendly tour - they can't touch anything on the tour.
They hurry you thru the entire tour with a security guard right behind you.
Best way is to make this a self-guided tour or at least extend the time

This is a cool place to see if you are in ATL and have extra time to burn.

Tour was great are guide new alot. Military is free and plus are son who is 1 got in free as well. I only had to pay for my wife which wasn't bad at all. Lots of good pictures and behind the scenes of what goes on at CNN. Lots of different gift shops and a food court. Parking is across the street so everything is within walking distance.

The tour was organized very well, it went smoothly and extremely educational. The tour showed me the behind the scenes to a broadcast. In addition it was nice to learn about domestic and international CNN facts.

Was very informative. Great stop using our CityPASS.

You don't have to tour.. Just visit the souvenir shop and take pictures in front of the CNN signboard...

If you have a City Pass, take a tour...

If not, you really don't have to..

I like CNN a lot but they should do more international stories on new day.

Very fun place to go and tour, it's right next to the Phillips arena also, and the lobby has a beautiful setup

On our tour it's walking, with many sets of stairs to climb up and down the floors. If you are unable to walk stairs then ask about the tour using elevators, (wish I knew about that one).
The tour was great, the group could ask ?'s along the way.
The escalator was used at beginning of tour after security check, it took us way up many floors which was nice. Check to see if active and retired military get a discount admission as seniors do. We did not see the popular anchor people, but was told you might see them in the early morning tours. Besides all the climbing stairs it was an informative tour.. some areas NO PICTURES WERE ALLOWED. There is a security guard at the end of the tour line to keep everyone from breaking the rules.

Unimpressive - not worth the money! Just go to the gift shop is good enough. The tour guide was very nice, and she talked loud and clear though. It was stupid that they make you watch videos that you can find it easily online anyway, why paid them to watch it there? I feel like the tour was designed before the internet because what they showed us and told us are nothing that can't be found in the top results of a Google search.

You take the longest free standing 8 story high escalator, then they take a pictures for you with a CNN mic that you will have to buy it if you want it. Then the tour stops are as listed below.

1 - (pictures allowed) a taste of what the producers see on their screens. The preset and live program.
2 - (pictures allowed) teleprompter and green screen demo.
3 - (no more pictures from this point) look at the empty studio for HLN and Morning Express behind a window, and they tell you there's 4 camera that worth 300K each.
4 - look down to their open office space where staffs have 2 to 4 monitors each on their space. They tell you their education background and how fast they can produce any news segments.
5 - go into a room that display their online content and show you a video from The Great Big Story where you can watch on FB as well.
6 - standing on the balcony looking into the empty studio for Spanish CNN and tell you about the tile map down on the food court floor.
7 - look at 2 person that control all the lighting of a studio outside of a window.
8 - watch a film with the popular anchors talk about why they wanna 'go there' with CNN. It was like a long commercial. Then they send you out to the gift shop.

The studio tour was really informative, and I loved that we got to see the newsroom. Lots of fun!

Pretty disappointing tour. With sites such as the longest freestanding escalator... It was fairly boring. Seeing some of the studios was cool I guess.

Good hour and a half on what happens behind the scenes of one of the top news company s. While the tour guide is good, she wasn t able to answer some pointed questions of some of the visitors.
The atlanta pass grants access to this, the GA aquarium and the Coca Cola company tour among others for $75 and is a good value for those doing touristy things in atlanta.

The tour was interesting, but not very long. The tour guide was just ok and seemed super rehearsed and rushed. I am glad I did the tour because I love CNN, but I don't think I saw anything super special or learned anything new.

The building is absolutely gorgeous and the ticket is cheap but I guess it s because you only see everything through a glass and the tour is very short.

We didn't do the VIP tour, but maybe we should have. 55 minutes with nothing interesting learned.

Exciting tour of the studios. I recommend booking the VIP tour. This way you get into the broadcasting rooms and see a lot.

Had a great time on the CNN Studios tour. I know that the workers in news are busy, but I think it would be cool if every once in a while one popped out to give am insider perspective. That could also be a great way to encourage tours. Still think there should be ASL interpreter on screen given the size and scope of CNNs viewership.

It's an awesome place and super nice tour. It's even better if you know someone that works there.

Very cool tour! The your guide was very informative and was very good with my 8 year old and all the other kids in the tour with us.

Something you don't get to do everyday; unless you work there

It's fun to visit the studios of such a well-known TV channel, but there is no particularly spectacular interest. If you are in Atlanta you must do this visit. We can't miss it.

It's nice 15 min tour but little bit overrated. You can find the information that is shared on tour on internet and in much detail. Basically they will show few sets, control center etc and you get a chance to go through their expensive gift store. Momento photo that you take here is costly too.

It was a good tour. If you are lucky, you can appreciate how a program is recorded. You take pictures at the beginning of the tour and then you can not take pictures anymore, that's the only thing I did not like. At the end you go to the souvenir shop and you can buy the photos.

The tour was interesting to start, but as you go through you get the feeling you re not seeing anything. You only get to see the outside of some studios but don t go inside any. The security guard had a complex and was quite rude. Overall slightly unenjoyable and not worth the $15.

We took the VIP Tour and really enjoyed it. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about how shows were put together and we got to see some live control rooms in action.

A nice way to get the birds eye view of what the newsroom looks feels and works like

The tour lasts 45 minutes and it is not interactive. You can not touch anything or take pictures or videos. There are no toilets during the tour and you just talk about the history of the canal, something boring for children.

I never thought there'd be so much to see at the CNN center, but it surprised me. The food was good and had a few options, that made it easier for me with all of the kids I had. I expected a little more from the Cartoon Network store but it was overall a good trip.

Was an exciting tour but we did not like the fact how a security treated me or my 5 year old. As we were walking on the hall, their was a water fountain and my child was thirsty but the security was very rude, disrespectful. The way he handle it was not professional at all especially with a child avoid. He yelled at me that we couldn t get a slip of water. A tour is how long? But you are not allowed to get water from a water fountain in the hall way? He could ve used a lower voice and said it in a nicer way. getting a slip of water shouldn t have been a big deal especially for a kid.

Good experience if you don t take any bag that looks like a duffel bag. There is no locker to leave the bag. Family friendly attractions 50 minutes of tour for base package. The food court has lot of fast food options.

Great place to visit in Atlanta and bring visitors to the studio tour, you have the opportunity to see live news feed with anchors to CNN international. Do not forget to pass by their shop for their memoriabelia. Also in the main floor restaurant lobby there is an actual reporter Hummer loaded that has been in the field such as Afghanistan.

Dont miss this. Pay extra for the VIP tour. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommended tour while in Atlanta.
