Came to Urgent Care due to ear fullness due to wax...

Came to Urgent Care due to ear fullness due to wax impaction due to use of a Q tip by mistake and the nurse practitioners and other medical staff were top notch, compassionate, thorough and very good at what they do. They flushed my ear in minutes and ensured I was well taken care of. In just a few minutes, I could hear perfectly again. If I ever need urgent care again, it will be Atrium Health in Concord for sure. Thank you!!!!!

The wait time was reasonable and the level of care...

The wait time was reasonable and the level of care was exceptional. The lady who assessed my son took her time and was thorough with her assessment and explanation. The entire staff treated us with kindness and respect. I walked away feeling cared for. Also, I like that you can view your wait time and order in which you ll be seen. It helped to manage my time.

Would not recommend this facility. I've worked in the healthcare field for over six years. I'm familiar with how the system works. I took my husband to their facility on a Monday afternoon. The receptionist asked that he take a seat in the waiting area and she'd be with him in a moment. Fifteen minutes later, someone else walked in and the receptionist went through the check-in process with that individual, completely overlooking my husband. When we brought it to their attention, no one made an effort to correct the issue or apologize. Instead, that person was taken back first, and I can tell you their condition was less urgent than my husband's. The doctor, however, was very nice. After examining my husband, she immediately referred him to the ER in order to rule out appendicitis (my husband was in a lot of pain). At check-out, the same receptionist saw him again and said "they'd already closed their batches and couldn't refund his $50.00" but that "they'd put it back on his card the very next day." They were very adamant about this, so off to the ER we went.

The next day, we heard nothing all day and received no credit to our bank account. We called their facility again. This time we were told that the "receptionist had told us wrong" and that we'd "have to call the billing department." (By the way, I work for the billing department for a specialist). After calling their billing department, we were told that it would take 30-45 business days for us to receive our refund. We have explained our situation and how we were given incorrect information, but yet again, no efforts have been made to make it right. A supervisor was supposed to call me, but it's going on three business days now and no response. It's not the $50.00 that bothers me. It's the fact that 1) we were not given accurate information, 2) no attempts have been made to make it right, and 3) no one has followed up in regards to our concerns. That is why I would not recommend their facility. In my professional opinion, the staff needs to be better educated on policy and procedure so they can improve their service to patients. Until then, my review will, regrettably, remain at 2 stars.

I've been coming here every week or two for 8 week...

I've been coming here every week or two for 8 weeks since my injury. The entire staff has always been friendly and professional. Have i had to wait sometimes? Yes but like all medical practices they are very busy at times. I have seen customers be very rude to the ladies in reception because their time and condition is more important than anyone else. These ladies are always friendly and professional. The treatment given here is always first rate. I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone.

Chose this site for my pre-emplyment testing. They did a great job getting me in and out quickly, followed all protocols to a T, and were very professional and courteous. Would consider going here for Urgent Care if ever needed.

I will never come back to this urgent care. Nurse ...

I will never come back to this urgent care. Nurse that called me back act as if I didn't exist. She called my name saw me and did not say hey. She walked me to the room and said step on the scale. No type of communication what so ever. The other nurse that did my assessment basically did the same thing. I already hear bad things about Carolinas healthcare facilities but I gave it a try. Well never again, I will be sticking to NOVANT. Everything bad said about this place is pretty much true. The NP was amazing though. She was nice, friendly and down to earth.

I've had to bring my children here on different oc...

I've had to bring my children here on different occasions and each time the staff , nurses and doctors were so kind. They were very patient and treated us like we were the only patients they needed to care for despite how busy they obviously looked. Never felt rushed out. Always took the time to answer a question and their spirit was so loving. My kids always felt so comfortable and hugged every nurse or doctor that cared for them there! They always waved bye to the administration up front because they remembered they spoke to them when they arrived. Love this urgent care!

Regardless of what the PA may tell you, they CANNO...

Regardless of what the PA may tell you, they CANNOT order procedures at the hospital, and they CANNOT reduce your wait time when they send you to the ER, even though they may insist that they can... the hospital says all they can do is recommend a procedure. On a separate trip to this facility, they filed my visit under workers compensation insurance with my company even though multiple people were told multiple times here that this was NOT workers comp related. As a result, my company held me out of work for an entire week until my non-work related issue was cleared up. I lost an entire weeks worth of pay because some employee took it upon themselves to file with workers comp instead of my BCBS. Definitely won't come back to this facility, it's a cluster.

I made online appointment 3 hours ahead of time for my wife. Came to clinic before time. There was one person ahead of her and two after her. The wait time when we arrived was about 10 to 23 mins and they called us in after one hour. Here is the good part they called other two people after her first since all three of them were sisters. Once we were called in late the vitals were taken and then we sat down in the room for another 35 mins. Just sitting. This is not the first time we had this experience. We have been here several other times and had the same situation. They do not have any value for people s time. And if we come late they will reschedule us or post pone our time by couple hours. Unfortunately in this area this is the only closets location. I wish there was Novant urgent care near by. Save you time go somewhere else...

Got there at 7:35 and they close at 8:00. Just needed a prescription for my mom which would have taken five minutes of their time. The front desk was rude and they refused to see my mom, so we had to go to the ER...waited 3 hours to spend less than 5 minutes with a doctor to get some antibiotics...

Had to get a covid19 test, Atrium Health Urgent Care would not file with my insurance even thou the company that I work for was paying for the test. AHUC just didn't want to do the paperwork. Now I have to do the paperwork to get my money back. I still had to call ATUC back to get the info. to put on the form. Thanks for letting me do your job AHUC. I will never us you guys ever again.

My boyfriend and I recently went to this urgent care for his severe athlete's foot. From the initial phone call, this was a bad experience. He called first to see what the average wait time was, and was advised to make an appointment "if there is one available." He asked how to make an appointment and if he could do that over the phone, and was told to "just Google the urgent care and he can find it himself." Once we got there with an appointment, he paid the required up front amount for an uninsured person. We were taken back to the examination area within twenty minutes, which was great, and his vitals were taken. The nurse was kind, but when the practitioner came in, she looked at his feet and went to worst case scenario (think: suggesting an overnight stay at the hospital, the necessity of a wound specialist, and more). She refused to treat him and insisted that we go to the emergency room as "urgent care is more for poison ivy, bug bites, etc." No money was refunded. At the emergency room, they prescribed an antibiotic and that was it. We asked if a wound specialist or an overnight stay was necessary as that was what we had been warned about previously, and the doctor stated that was absolutely not necessary. No money was refunded from the urgent care center, and the ER confirmed that all of this could have been handled there. We will not be going back to this center.

The professionals there took such good care of me!...

The professionals there took such good care of me! From the front desk to the nurse & nurse practitioner who stitched up my finger, everyone was efficient, friendly, thorough, and safe. It was my first time visiting this location, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has a need arise. I arrived at 7:00 PM on a Friday evening and was out with 4 stitches in my finger by 7:40! Thanks you to all of the ladies who helped me & made my experience quick & painless!

I visited on 01-14-2020. I was in with the nurse in 10-15 minutes and the provider was right behind her. With and x-ray and breathing treatment, I was in and out in less then 45 minutes. I work in a hospital and know good care when I see / experience it.

After visiting this urgent care last week, I would...

After visiting this urgent care last week, I would recommend it to all my family and friends in the Concord/Kannapolis areas. First off, they are open on Sundays (the day I went) - saving me the cost of an ER visit for a basic illness that can be treated with antibiotics. I arrived on time for opening and was taken back within 15 minutes of check in. My nurse was polite, personable, and attentive to my pain level. The PA that saw me was knowledgeable of my condition and even sent my biopsy off for labwork to double check the results. Best of all, my prescription was ready when I made it to the pharmacy 20 minutes after checkout!

After working in medical myself, this is probably the best urgent care experience I've ever had in my life.

I was there for rehabilitation for my right leg because I was hit by a Trailblazer crossing the street from my house and my family doctor Ashley Robinson set up the appointment and the man who was my rehabilitator Tom was extremely good he knows what he's doing and the people who work there know what they are doing Great place if you're needing help with walking and getting back on track

This place is so squared away, I want to re-injure...

This place is so squared away, I want to re-injure my eye just so I can go back to Atrium and experience such competent, caring and amazingly swift service. Loved my NP who demonstrated confidence in stitching me up, and the nurse who removed my sutures was brave despite that she met resistance from my sutures. My wound is healing nicely, and I am not even fretting about a scar. Directions of post-visit care were clear and understandable. The check in staff was exceptionally happy, which was a refreshing change from where I live, and the staff in the front and back of the house made short work if my visit; my first visit maybe an hour and my second and last visit 30-40 minutes. Wait time is severely limited with that online appointment feature, which is marvelous! Love this place! Grateful me and my eye were in capable hands.

The wait is as long as the wait in the ER. Apparently there is not enough staffing to do more than one patient at a time. But there s always plenty of time for fun-times and conversation in the hallway while you re ignored!

These people are awesome! I came in at 7:58pm, didn't realize they closed at 8, I was prepared to go somewhere else, but they kindly said no they would look at it and see if they could stitch me up there...By 8:45 it was done!! They were soooo nice! I know they were ready to go home, and I so very much appreciate their kindness to help me at the last minute.

They have the worlds best nursing staff. They nursed me back to health and they were VERY VERY considerate. They got me out of there in record timing....and might I mention it didnt feel rushed at all.

This is the best Urgent Care in Concord, The first...

This is the best Urgent Care in Concord, The first I've visiting since moving to Concord four years ago. I first moved here, had to go to the ER, I spent almost 10 hours waiting to see a doctor. That was one of the most Horrible Experiences I ever encountered in my whole life. I was so sick, I couldn't Breath, I couldn't afford to leave I was so sick, I had to wait. Even Tthe staff was Horrible. After that I said never in my life will I ever go back to the ER. New years eve I went the the Urgent Care cause I remember it was right there at my Rehab and foot Doctor. I was even Greeted with a Awesome Smile, I felt a little better right then and there, It was.like a Let A Smule Be Your Umbrella Moment. I knew I would be okay right then and there. After that I was in and out. Wonder Staff, Awesome Staff.

I was the only person in here and there are people who got here hours after me who are going in before me.

Waste of time. I don't know how this place is even...

Waste of time. I don't know how this place is even open. Called before coming to see if they provide stitches on one year old. Was told over the phone they can. Upon arrival and after waiting 30mins (mind you no one was in the waiting room) before seeing a provider was then told they can't do stitches on a one year old and to go to ER. WASTED a whole lot of time instead of just being upfront on phone. No services were provided and yet I'm sure I'll still get a bill in the mail.

This is not the place that you want to take your loved ones. The nursing staff was EXTREMELY rude to me and my family. Was told that I should have went to the emergency room. This facility will NEVER EVER get my business again.
