Absolutely love this place! The staff and customers are all very welcoming, nice, and helpful. The membership options are at great prices with a selection of rentals to get your rock climbing career started. Came here for the summer and is definitely the reason I'm gonna continue to climb and work out in general.

Oh also! They have bouldering, automatic belaying, and manual belaying which is awesome to have all as options as to strengthen all methods of rock climbing and minimize boredom!

The place rocks, pardon the pun. Both my pre teen kids love both the bouldering and belay sections. It has plenty of auto belays to give you a break when the kids go from run to run and the staff who work there and the folks who climb there are very friendly.

I come to Burlington from Toronto for Climber's Rock because it is so great! There is plenty of space and it doesn't get too crowded like the Toronto gyms. They have 8-9 autobelay walls ranging from 5-3 to 5-11 so it's easy to practice solo.

Re-Writing this review after gaining some experience in climbing in general, and visiting the location a second time. My previous complaints about the location have essentially been answered or shown to be faulty.

My original main complaint was that their version of difficulty is very bad holds. I'm not quite sure if they've changed their outlook on setting, or if I've simply gotten much better. But I had few problems with terrible holds in my most recent visit.

As usual the area in the back (The "comp" walls) are excellent. The only downside to this gym is it's not really beginner friendly. A vast majority of the quality climbs are medium/high rated. Which makes routine visits far better for experienced climbers, but will likely make new climbers suffer a bit.

But overall there's no reason not to visit. Might take a few visits to get a hold of their difficulty curve but it won't be time wasted.

Love this gym. Always super super clean. Great staff, good setting, and they refresh the routes at a good pace. After being here for a couple months they had a sale on annual passes and I bought one without thinking twice.

They also have a small weight training area, and a climbing-specific training area with hangboards, pull-up bars, and a campus board.

I highly recommend this gym.

Probably the best climbing gym I have ever been to. Not that I have been to a HUGE number, but probably 10-15 over the years.
Massive bouldering wall. A crazy number of options for climbs. Many self belay devices for those who might not have a partner with them. All sorts of additional services (lessons, yoga, gym).
Clean and tidy and tons of fun.

Fantastic gym with a huge selection of different climbs.

Bouldering is broken up into two sections with great dynos at the back part. The bouldering section is poorly lit and can be hard to distinguish the different routes.

The top rope is fantastic with a wide variety of challenging climbs. There is also a self belay for solo climbers.

The mats in some of the areas are old and falling apart but that is expected with a gym that has been around for a while and is heavily used- especially by children and camps.

There is also an attached yoga studio and gym- meaning you won't need any other gym membership to get a full work out in.

WARNING - do not park in spots designated for other businesses, nor across the street at the GO Station - City of Burlington parking enforcement will slam you and it's not cheap. As for Climbers Rock, the place is amazing. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the place has a great social atmosphere where you can simply start talking to someone else and come away with a positive experience. There's an intimate feel to the location as it's not overly large. Lots of challenging problems, both bouldering and top-roped climbs. Well worth visiting!

Took a class at this climbing gym with my stepson on Sep 20th. The facilities were very clean and with good lighting. We took the two month package, which included the belaying class. I was very satisfied with the staff there. They were very friendly and helpful. The belaying class was taught in a very professional manner, ensuring all understood instructions given while in very pleasant and interesting atmosphere. I would definitely recommend climber's rock to anyone who wishes to pursue indoor rock climbing.

Great place to learn foundations of climbing. Large assortment of beginner, and more advanced top rope and bouldering routes. Among the cleanest climbing gyms I've been to. Lots of friendly people.

Learned to climb here and learned to love climbing here. Great choice of walls, SUPER friendly staff, and 10/10 customer service for members during COVID suspension. They really went out of their way to do what was best for their members and staff, treating everyone well. Just an awesome, well run, climbing gym.

Excellent community of climbers at this gym; friendly staff and plenty of diversity in level of climbers from absolute beginners to IFSC athletes. The facility itself has everything you could want: bouldering, top rope, lead cave (love this), auto belays, dedicated training area that's separated from the rest of the gym, huge system wall, variety of wall types, incredible route setting, etc. I live thirty minutes away and still drive in whenever possible.

So far the gym of choice!

So far the gym of choice!
Great routes that are clearly defined by the rock colours and cannot be confused with different route. Music is a nice selection of light electronics that drives extra energy but does not distract from the climb and isn't too loud so the belayer and climber can still communicate even from the top of the wall!
As a minor disappointment walls are not as high then some of the gyms i know, but the creativity of the routes makes up for that. Huge selection of all sorts of walls (Boulder, Top Rope and Lead) with a lot of choice for every level of climber!
Staff is very friendly and have proven knowledgeable and helpful. The location usually sports ton of parking and can be accessed by Go train (Appelbee station).

1 of 5 Stars: I had a really bad customer experience a few years back. I enjoy this gym, which is why I gave it one star. Here is my breakdown:

-1 Star: Staff. When I was getting my belay test the staff member (some small asian guy with some attitude) was yelling at me. Yes yelling at me and was giving harsh criticism. Small dog big woof kind of approach I guess. Pretty pathetic. The staff member was obviously stressed out about something and was bringing his personal matters into the matter. Very unprofessional - learn some emotional intelligence. I actually ended up getting my belay license even though I thought I wasn't. Yelling is not a way to teach someone.

-3 Stars: Negative customer experience. After that I didn't return to the place for a while. I had another incident where I got charged for belay and bouldering even though I just went for bouldering. I asked for my money back but they refused. Later that year I got a free pass from CR explaining poor customer service. I went to use it a couple of years later and they refused my free pass. I often see staff not at the front desk, or sitting around looking disengaged. Not very personable. Now that I think about this I wish I could give this place 0 out of 5 stars, the only redeeming part of this is:

+1 Star: Facilities and routes are good. That's about it.

Would I recommend? Definitely not. When the staff aren't at the front desk they might not return for 10 to 20 minutes. Terrible. At that point I recommend just walking in. Prepare to be greeted by rude staff members, who don't know what's going on or how to deal with past customer experiences.

Been to a few gyms around the GTA, this is by far the best. Drive to it every other day from Brampton, its that worth it. Most logical and clear boulder tapes, and a large variety of top roping available as well.

Fabulous rock-climbing gym. Staff has worked super hard lately to make sure there are fresh new routes all of the time. This gym is very inclusive and has a diverse client base. Whether you climb beginner 5.4 routes, you just boulder, or you lead climb 11+ routes, there is something for everybody. I've been climbing here for over 3 years and I love this place! Great place to meet people of all ages with similar interests. Staff is always willing to help out with beta when needed too.

Pros:

Pros:
Cost
Actual rock climbing
Friendly staff
Cons:
Small change rooms
Crowded

However, you can't expect to have low cost membership and not very crowded. If you don't want crowded, you'll have to go a gym that charges more.
Five stars because the pros outweigh the cons.

Climbers Rock is an excellent rock climbing gym. I've only been going for a couple weeks now but it's a significant improvement on the overcrowded locations I grew used to climbing in San Francisco. There is a great number of walls and the routes are clearly maintained and reset on a frequent basis to keep things fresh.

Would highly recommend for both experienced and new climbers. Lots of variety in the routes available on bouldering, top rope and lead.

This place is wonderful, the staff here are always friendly and helpful! Their route setting is great and frequently changed. They are really good at managing their bigger groups so that the gym doesn't get crowded. Always worth the drive from Niagara for us

Another plastic day . . .

Another plastic day . . .

Lots of routes and varied terrain. The place seems to be focused mainly on bouldering as the walls are very short.

There are 2 separate bouldering walls, lots of problems. Top outs are high! I'd like to see higher routes and lower top-outs, but all in all I left tired and sore, which is what I paid for.

Great gym for all types of climbers the only thing...

Great gym for all types of climbers the only thing I don't like is how the prices have hiked up way more than what it used to be. Also, I was taught a way of belaying from my main gym and my party was told it wasn't the way he teaches belaying so he stopped our session to show us then walked around to find us to make sure we were doing it his way even though the original belay technique is perfectly safe(little thing that bothered me). After our session we asked more explanation and it made more sense for sport climbing/outdoors and other ATC devices aside the the typical device used. Overall, great variety of climbs love the auto belays and bouldering is just fantastic aside from the little picky things that bothered me it's a great gym for all ages the walls are short compared to some gyms so you can get more climbs out of your session.
