A great place to climb either alone or with a group of friends! The gym has a very easy going community vibe while maintaining a safe work and exercise environment. The staff are always friendly and the price point is comparable to your average fitness gym.

Great to be back climbing after COVID19 was lifted a bit. They have really cleaned up the bathrooms now with private change rooms and there is now a large space for youth climbing - Just wish they would open it up to the public as right now its being used for youth programs but the short climbers are dying to get at it!

Awesome place to learn bouldering and top rope climbing. Very reasonably priced, especially if you just want to try out the facilities for the first time. All equipment can be rented including climbing shoes. Just make sure to wear loose non restrictive comfortable clothing to improve the body's range of motion.

I was visiting from the UK and found this place for a training session. I didn't top rope or lead climb, so I can't comment on the quality of the routes at this place.

The comp style boulders are pretty good, a nice wide range with some cool moves. These are hidden round the back of the centre so make sure you walk round there and have a play! Unfortunately I found the other bouldering section (on the right as you enter) not so great. The setting isn't that good and the holds aren't in great condition.

The staff here are super friendly and there is a nice little training area above the comp blocks. This place is definitely worth a visit for a little training session, but I wouldn't make it my regular climbing gym.

Staff was great to deal with. Now that I've climbed there a while I can definitively the routes aren't great. Change rooms smell horrible, stop using a scented sprays to control it get an industrial anti-bacterial spray.

I first tried Climber's Rock at the beginning of September and have been completely hooked. The facilities are clean, spacious and top-notch, with a variety of fun and challenging courses (that are always changing by the way) for both belaying and bouldering. They also have a studio that offers yoga and pilates classes with some really kind and wonderful instructors. The staff are really positive, welcoming and always willing to give you a hand with anything.

They have an AMAZING deal if you have never been there: $80 for 60 days, which includes an intro belay lesson, unlimited climbing (plus rentals) and unlimited access to their studio classes. I tried them out and have now upgraded my membership for one year.

The location is also easily accessible by car (lots of free parking) and it is also RIGHT beside the Appleby GO train station. The drive itself is really good

Bottom line: try them out!

Loved climbing here for years... But the management has fired many employees loved by the community without cause. Manager Asha is completely dismissive of members who aren't good enough climbers. She is also unprofessional getting far to close with one of the new employees while other members are around. The removal of the ambassadors is also very telling that the gym cares only about money and not the climbing community.

This is a really great climbing gym. It's just not ideal for young kids with parents in tow. Adults will find this place stellar. Plenty of challenges, variety and lots of auto belays to offer. Their gear is top notch and the staff are friendly enough. Parking is available and is never too crowded as well as very professional to deal with. Note to parents : There are limited things to do for young people and no recreation space between climbing stints for young to blow off steam. There is also limited amenities other than vending machines and a yoga studio upstairs, on site. But as a climbing gym it's astounding. Pricing is great and it's right beside Appleby GO. Parking is limited.

Very clean facility. Polite staff who are always very helpful. Good variety of top wall, self belay and bouldering routes.
Best time to come is before the evening. Between 6 and 9 this place is packed and you will have to wait for walls. During the day or after 9, it's fine. No issues.
They have bicycle "parking" outside - a bike rack ;p
Nice beverage/snack selection in the fridge.
Cons:. Could use more parking, and the parking lines repainted. Also more auto belays.

Covid Update: they are doing a wonderful job keep the gym open and clean. Online booking for members only, and everything is always very clean. Currently doing renovations to the change room (so excited to finally see them!)

Visits: 10+
Cost: Reasonable

The gym is above average and clean, despite being pretty old. The setting is very old-school and throw-y, with lots of crimp ladders and such. They recently (4 years ago?) added a back boulder section that's definitely the highlight of the current gym and I'd recommend getting in on the pumpy routes. It's surprisingly easy to get to by GO or by car, and I hear they've got great coaching there. The lead climbing is pretty good but a bit short, and I find they don't update their routes as often as I would like.

Clean, well organized and safe.
My son will be attending the youth academy which is in a separate area.
The whole family has climbed here.
They have bouldering, auto-belays, route climbing, and lead climbing.
We have our own equipment now but they rent harness and shoes.

Excellent, clean gym. Good variety of boulders, routes, and lead climbing. But there are a lot of kids camps for routine climbers to compete with. Pricing is pretty steep unless you can get one of their special rates.

Picked up a membership last month. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The gym is great with a lot of variety, including a huge bouldering facility. And if you're looking for a climbing buddy you can auto-belay or throw your number up on their board. All around fun place, great crowd.

I'm biased, cause this is my home gym, but I also think it's one of the best gyms in Ontario. It's where I first learned to climb; it's a really friendly and welcoming space. Tons of top roping and lead, lots of great bouldering routes and bonus, it's airconditioned ;) (plus a fantastic yoga studio upstairs ! Nothing like ending a great climbing session with some hot yoga. )

Great atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Very clean for a climbing gym, especially the locker rooms. Nice mezzanine with couches and chairs to relax in. Plenty of bouldering, toprope and lead options with really good setting. The rental equipment is in good shape. Definitely worth the fees, who j are very much in line with gyms in the area. Great trial option as well.

Climbers Rock is definitely one of the harder gyms...

Climbers Rock is definitely one of the harder gyms in the GTA area. I'd say like 90% of the bouldering problems are overhang. That does make it a bit challenging for a beginner. Protip: Rent their climbing shoes instead of just going with sneakers. Sneakers have very little grip and you can possibly hurt yourself if you slip and fall.
For 1st timers, I'd advise you to do some top rope (rock climbing with the rope harneas) in addition to bouldering (the climbs without rope harness) so at least you have a variety, since most likely you'll get too tired from bouldering rather quickly due to the increased difficulty.
However, for those who are experienced climbers, this gym is huge and you definitely can spend a good 2 hours on either top rope, bouldering, or even lead climbing on its own!

Great environment to climb with respectful rock climbers from all levels. I haven;t tried the belay yet but they offer it plus self buckle.
The gym area could have some extra items. The yoga place looks neat. Overall they are one of the best rock climb gyms I been too and they have promotions too with yoga and climbing packages.

For my first time climbing there were so many avenues of practise to get used to the climbing systems. Our main guide (I think mark) was extremely helpful and guided us through the entire process.
I ll for sure be doing back and next time to do yoga as well

Climber's Rock was an amazing experience, one I hope to keep returning to. The staff are helpful and friendly, the owner always responsive on social media. First time bouldering was here, couldn't have felt more of a positive atmosphere than I did here! Always friendly climbers around.

A great place to learn to climb and practice yoga. Opening hours are great as they are opened most of the day and they have flexible hours on holidays. The staff are friendly and helpful and generally all have a positive attitude. The gym is very family oriented and most patrons are friendly and will share advice to less experienced climbers. It's a great place to train, make friends and strengthen the body, mind and soul...

Great climbing gym - friendly staff, routes are reset regularly and the quality of the setting is pretty good. Several auto-belays if you're climbing on your own which have their routes reset more frequently. Lots of bouldering across two areas that run the entire length of the building.

My favourite place to climb! It has both bouldering and top roping, and the problems were getting more interesting (new setters) rightttt before COVID hit. They also are much more generous in their setting than say, Aspire climbing so I leave feeling just a little bit better about my climb. 10/10 COVID response, I paid for a year's membership which they put on freeze for free for me, unlike other gyms which charge $10 a month for you to not contract a disease.
Oh! And yoga upstairs was good too!

We had a great time... went with kids (6yo and 10yo) the pass is all day, so we went, spent a couple of hours, went for lunch and came back for more... did the auto-belay rope climbs as well as bouldering. Since it was our first time after we asked one of the staff gave us a quick tour.

Nice atmosphere, not too crowded...

Will definitely come back... once my arms get a chance to recover ;)
