Expensive. Under construction. Nothing to see except Winter. Not worth it!
Expensive. Under construction. Nothing to see except Winter. Not worth it!
All I can say is WHAT THE HECK!!!!! This place is a dump for the price. Handful of exhibits closed out of a handful in a half... But still charging $22 per person. Come on. So sad!!!!!!
The animals that were at this aquarium was being rescued. This gave a better meaning to the trip. More air circulation would be great!
Love this place! Not very big but amazing to see. You know the focus is on the animals and not on admin. Loved the harbor cruise that is included with your admission.
Happy to meet Winter and other animals. Stuff was very friendly. Good luck! you are doing a great job!
Tourist trap. Waste of time and money. Nice employees, but the place want built to handle the number of people filling in there. Save your money. Stay at the beach.
Great place to visit. We seen several dolphins on the boat
Excellent!! Thank you Jeanne for taking the time to explain about the turtle head. Also for explaining more in depth about the dolphins Winter, Hope, Nickolas, and the new arrival of PJ. And why the boy dolphin Nickolas is outside and not with the other 3 girls. Jeanne you made our experience extra special. Thank you so much!!! You truly are a shining star.
Absolute horse crap. Over priced, barely any fish just a few dolphins and turtles, would rather eat my own face than go here again. Then I got taken on a crap boat to to a crap exhibit for a movie no one ever heard of. Everyone looked utterly bored! Time for a beer to forget the terrible day!
Way overpriced for the experience. Only enough to spend an hour or so there. Would have happily pay half of what they charge for the experience we got. Disappointed.
Absolutely amazing seeing Winter & Hope! Felt very surreal being there, fantastic under the scenes tour. If you've seen the film I would definitely recommend it.
This is where you go to see Winter the Dolphin only @Clearwatermarineaquarium
Very interesting Marine animal rescue center. Very educational and good for raising ones awareness for animal welfare. Some animal shows led by knowledgeable staff.
A beautiful place for children and adults, and the boat ride is recommended
I don't know how they say it can take up to 2 hours to go through the place, we were in and out in less than a half hour. The staff was friendly and knowledgable but there were only a couple of exhibits. Very basic.
Not your typical aquarium but more of a rescue operation. We didn't do the boat tours, I felt we missed a good part of the experience. We were in and out in under an hour. On the plus side, proceeds go towards their rescue efforts.
We love Winter and all the marine animals. We support their mission. My family and I had a great time there. We will definitely come back when we visit Florida again. Love from Minnesota!
Very educational, interesting place. Great for kids
Staff was awesome. Seeing the dolphins and how they care for them was wonderful.
Winter just looked sad...This aquariums got nothing on the Florida aquarium in Tampa.
They might as well call in dolphin tail movie terrible experience. Tanks are almost empty. Not may fish. If you want a aquarium go to Tampa or Bass pro in Springfield mo.
Awesome place, they are doing great work!!! Was so excited to see Winter, Hope and Nicholas.
It is something that should encourage us to continue fighting to live and to join us all for Acer when I have a son who operated on him and took a kidney. My name is Pedro and my son is Carlos, now he is 15 years old and we would like to be able to help. in your beautiful place hopefully we can Acer something
Do go here thinking your gonna get to have a personal encounter with any of the dolphins i told my little one that before we got their. There is 3 maybe 4 dolphins couple sea turtles 2 otters and the bird. The guys who runs this place was there with sawyer and my daughter was exited to just see him but he walked right by everyone. I figured it out later when we went to the other place its pretty cool but sawyer and the guy were talking and said he would sign autographs but you had to bu a clearwater marine aquarium merchandise. They are in it for the money so lower your expectations.
The marine life tour was so unforgettable. What a great experience! Loved it! Giving us that "island" stay was so awesome!
This is an excellent aquarium built around rescue and rehabilitation, not strictly entertainment. Home of the two famous dolphins Winter and Hope, there are also sea turtles, sharks, otters, and various other animals in the process of healing, or else cannot be released into the wild. Although many of the animals have "shows," if the animals do not want to participate for whatever reason, they are not required to do so. The only drawback to this commendable aquarium is that it really is not terribly easy to negotiate for those who have a difficult time walking or using stairs. There is a small elevator, but it is difficult to find, and someone in a wheelchair might have a difficult time viewing all the animals. Otherwise, a wonderful aquarium, to be praised for it's dedication to rehabilitation and education.
First off never watched dolphins tale before going, I reccomend you do to understand most of the signs and advertisement. Did the behind the scenes and dolphin boat tour. You can tell the hard work and dedication all the employees and volunteers do for the marine life. All of the excursions are fun and worth the price. Excited to see all the extra help they can give more marine life once the expansion is completed.
I received a coupon so I took my teen daughter. We were both a little disappointed. Seeing Winter was pretty cool but it wasn't what we expected at all. This is more of a rescue facility than an aquarium. Admission was $22 plus $10 to park. I drove an hour to get there as well. There were other activities that were costly and the photos were just as expensive.
Very cool place- the dolphins swim right up to you!
Interesting, learned so much! Is working rehab and hospital, not so flashy, but we'll worth a long visit. All souvenirs, I believe, money goes right back into hospital, education, and rehab. Priceless resource
Great cause, little small but totally worth the experience
Unfortunately so much construction was going on at the time if our visit. Literally we saw a dolphin and some randomness in an aquarium, a gift shop and that was about it. Not worth the ticket price at all!
A most visit when in Clearwater. Highly recommend, educational for adults and children. Working sea rescue rehabilitation facility . Many activities for children to learn about dolphins and the ecosystems around Florida that support our wildlife.
Great get a good deal if you go after 3.30pm - Can go on the boat trip for an all inclusive price of 17.99
We had a great time but get there early before the field trips get there.
A fair price if you liked the movies. Don't plan on spending a long time.
I just saw the movie and I loved the winter story I would like to visit that place someday
This place is the best place it has a great selection of sea animals me and my family went I didn't want to leave they have nurse sharks and stingrays and winter and hope loved this place.
Sincerely Matthew
Not a lot of activities. It was nice but Florida Aquarium in Tampa is much nicer with more activities. It felt like a tourist trap as opposed to a place to learn about and see marine animals.
Great place, wonderful staff doing a fantastic job at rehabilitation for injured marine life. Highly recommend
Great place to bring your kids. Inexpensive attraction. Was currently under renovations. The dolphin show on the roof was a neat experience with a great view. The boat ride could have been a little more that a loop around the bay.
The dolphin show is very good tells you the storys of the dolphin. The turtle show is very good as well. Over all it was worth trip and the time
I love the Clearwater marine aquarium! I went with my friends to this aquarium and we went on the dolphin boat tour and we saw 2 dolphins! We then explored the aquarium and saw nurse sharks, stingrays, turtles, sea otters and the pride of the aquarium the dolphin s Hope and Winter!! I loved seeing the dolphins ! Great place to bring children!! So much fun!
Small, crowded, and dirty. Like vomit on the floor dirty.
Did the tropical family cruise and it was so refreshing, seen wild dolphins. Beautiful scenery and experience.
I had a rare treat, this morning I ve been to the Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA) many, many times, and each time it s been so exhilarating, but this was a real uniquely enjoyable encounter. I was given a special tour by none other than Kelsy Long, Director of Media Relations. We were able to peruse the breathtaking new expansion of the CMA. My dolphin friends were out there in all their glory, upfront and personal. It just gave me the warm fuzzies and I told them so, smile. They were swimming around in the open as well as in their big new cavernous glass enclosure. It was a sight to behold, capturing on tape and creating a fresh memory bouquet. And then we got down to serious discussions on producing some musical storylines that embrace this wonderful place. It won t do justice to what the 2 movies Winter s Tale has given us. What it will be is another means of expressing to viewers and visitors what we already know is a spectacular experience being with Winter and all her friends
Great educational place to visit with a good number of rescued wildlife to view and attend talks about. The optional bay cruise was a very good experience as well.
This place was amazing! Though it's in the midst of an expansion, it was beautiful and the employees were wonderful. Well at maintaining business with health and safety guidelines during this pandemic, and very educational for those who are interested in learning about their rehabilitation efforts to try and release these lovely creatures to the wild. I will definitely be returning after their expansion
After having wanting to go visit for years my daughter and I finally had the opportunity and absolutely LOVED it!!
They are still doing construction so a lot was blocked off and unfinished and we look forward to going back when renovations are finished.
Seeing Winter and Hope was amazing tho and all the information they provide and the knowledge of the staff even the volunteers is VERY impressive.
We just returned from a trip from Clearwater. My daughter loved the movie and wants to study marine biology. When we where there Winter was alone and wanted to be with the other two dolphins. Nicholas is stuck outside in a tank alone. Dolphins need a mate that is the reason the second movie.
The viewing tanks are drab and very shallow. The dolphins do not have enough room to play.
Lots of fun for the kids. The staff was all incredibly nice. They answered all the questions we had. They didn't act like any question was dumb.
The gift shop has really great stuff, too.
Can't wait to go back!!!
Unless you or your child/children is a die hard fan of Dolphin Tale, & absolutely must see Winter, then don't waste your time. We had been there a few years ago & went back recently. Cost me nearly $90 for 2 adults, 2 kids & parking. We were able to see a Pelican, a couple of dolphins, one Otter, a few sea turtles, and some fish in a tank that you could hardly see through the scratched glass. I understand it is a rehabilitation center, and animals are returned to the wild if possible, but I felt I overspent for what was seen.
Very surprised this place earned 4 and 5 stars from so many people on here, because this is hands down the worst aquarium Ive ever been to! I understand its a marine rehab facility, but prices should reflect the quality and bare minimum quantity here. Came with my husband and two kids, paid over $55, plus $7 parking. Will not recommend this to anyone, and will not be back. Just make a donation and save some money!
Unfortunately the place is currently under construction and therefore a challenge when it comes to strollers and the attractions they offer. Staff is very friendly and trying their best but its still disappointing compare to the Florida Aquarium in Tampa.
Lots of money coming in to this place, but not much being spent on making it nicer. The reviewer that stated you could see the whole place in ten minutes was correct. My twelve year old enjoyed it, but I was less than impressed. Lots of temporary structures (ticketing, bathrooms, etc) I assume they realize that when the winter craze dies down, they will be out of business. Kind of sad except for the people raking in the money in the meantime.
The people here are awesome for saving, rehabilitating, and nurturing the sea animals. Small admission price to pay for their work.
I have seen it in a movie I'm from Kerala I wish that I could visit I hope that in future I could do that love you winter and hope!!!
It's so nice to see how much this group cares about these animals.
Very educational with great presentations. Such a great place. More a sea animal hospital than a typical aquarium. Much smaller than I expected but the outstanding staff more than made up for lack of expected number of exhibits.
lots of close experience with animals and not over crowded. I recommend the boat tours
We loved watching all of the animals. It was a neat experience because neither one of us had ever seen Marine life like that up close. An added bonus was that we went during the summer sale time (4-8pm during summer) so our entrance tickets were half price! We will definitely be returning in the future.
It's fun and interesting and all, but it only takes about 20 minutes to see everything. I
It's a special place! The staff are all very friendly & interact well with guests. In the marina you can also see wild dolphins that come in to hunt. Go after 4:00pm during the season when they have extended hours & the admission rate is a steal!
Awesome place. This is where Dolphin Tales was filmed. Lots of aquatic creatures to interact with; sting rays, dolphins, otters, turtles, birds, etc. Great time for both adults and kids, plus proceeds go to help injured animals.
Very nice but to enjoy it well you have to pay extra for everything so that the experience is better with the children and not all the time you can see winter the Delfin I went twice but I could not see it
This place is awesome and the workers are so nice! We did trainer for the day!!!
Visited after 20 years. Still looks rundown. No upgrades or improvements. And again. Waiting for dolphin show OUT in the HEAT with Children and the employee drones on and on and on and on! For the love of God talk WHILE the show is going on. Little children getting BORED AND HOT. We are here for our kids. You should be more in tuned to that!!! NOT coming back and NOT going to recommend!!!!!!
