It was ok. It is basically a rehab facility that does admirable work. Some windows were dirty and you couldn't see in good. The volunteer workers are friendly and knowledgeable. It's a small place to learn and spend a few hours with the family.

This isn't a big time aquarium. It's an educational rescue. We enjoyed our visit, the accessibility of the trainers and the focus on conservation.
Moderate your expectations. Don't plan more than a few hours here, and know that your ticket cost is (mostly, maybe) taking care of some animals who need love.
Very dedicated team. They attach great importance to informing visitors about their work. Already a bit dated, but it is built diligently and the new aquarium will be ready soon. Keep it up.
The place was amazing. They give you a tour and let you in on their history and how the place transformed. Defenitely worth the visit if you've seen Dolphin Tale
We went about two years ago and it was such a good time we got to touch the dolphins and learn and see a bunch of new animals so glad that this place is here on earth to take care of ocean and wildlife Keep doing what your doing and people remember your part of the reason these animals end up here #NO LITTERING #LoveWinter #LoveHope #OceanLife ROCKS
Everything was great. Staff were helpful and patient with the kids. Interactive events with the animals were clearly explained so everyone could have a positive experiance (extra fee but worth it). Plenty of shows and presentations to occupy the kids and parents for at least half a day if not more. Every enclosure had someone to talk to about the resident animal. Some areas are outside while others are in A/C so its an overall pleasent experiance if you are a cool loving person. The souvenirs were reasonably priced and you'll have to spend more then a few minutes picking the right one out from the massive selection.
I had a wonderful time at CMA. CMA is a small educational non profit organization which is a hospital for sea creatures. It's not like sea world. Since I visited off season it was not that crowded. The staff were very friendly and informative. I loved watching Winter and Hope interact and could spend hours there just to watch them and talk to them. I learned a lot from the tours and I can tell people care about the animals. I cannot wait till this aquarium expands.
It was wonderful ... during our visit we got to see a sea turtle that was rescued just that morning... great place and so much goes to helping the gulf wildlife. I just hope they can start helping the injured manatees... come people come sea lol get it
Amazing staff, but I wouldn't call this an aquarium. I took my toddler here expecting to see tricks performed by the animals. It was a huge disappointment. All they have here is 3-4 dolphins, 2 White pelicans, 2 sea turtles and a bunch of stingrays. There is an opportunity to touch stingrays. That was cool. I think there were more staff than the number of animals. Each one of them is very pleasant and courteous. If I were to review the staff, they would get 5 stars.
Don't believe negative reviews. Spent the whole day here with family and they loved it. Take your time and interact with the staff. We saw winter 4 times and she was very lively and energetic. My daughter was thrilled. Feeding the rays was awesome! Great value, support this place.
This is a completely different experience than other aquariums we have been to. Very personable employees and you can see that they really care for the animals. It is more of a transitional healing place for injured animals. If they can't be released back into the wild then they have a caring home there. Winter, the dolphin with a prosthetic tail was the highlight for my son. We went on the boat tour which was fun too. The crew was very informative and we had a great time! I recommend you go!
Many dolphins, fish and other marine life to observe and learn about. Very educational with lots of information about protecting wildlife and conservation.
You have to come here with the right expectations. This is NOT a big city aquarium. It is first and foremost a non- profit animal rescue operation. They do amazing things here and have grown thanks to Winter and the movie, Dolphin Tale. My kids love this place and have been coming here for years.
My daughter love it .she loves winter and hope and we surprised her.and just to look her smile on her face was priceless. The staff also very friendly.thank you.
It was just a great place to visit, was a little disappointing that they were not doing any 9f the shows with the dolphins because of the whole COVID-19 stuff
Great place with an even better cause. Things seem to be booming at the aquarium with remodeling projects on site. Did not affect any animal viewing thankfully.
This aquarium focuses on rescue, research and rehab, which is one of the reasons I love it so much. If you are looking for Sea world, this isn't it. Currently small and relatively quiet, you can see turtles with bouyancy issues swimming happily around as best they can, dolphins who cannot be released into the wild, rehab tanks and possibly a surgical procedure! And of course, it's home to Winter and Hope. They are in the process of enlarging to be able to hold more animals. I want to come back and see what they were able to accomplish!
I love this Marina and so does my family! We've gotten a family pass! We enjoy seeing all of the rescued animals! Visiting the Stingrays is one of our favorite things to do on any beautiful afternoon!
Then you come through the parking garage to the entrance, where a foam machine spits out foam - as a substitute for snow, so to speak. Everything is then decorated Christmassy / wintry around the main attraction, the dolphin called "Winter".
Inside we saw a turtle and an otter, in very bare and bleak pools of water. The two dolphins in the next basin were barely visible, because screens blocked the view. One of them was probably winter.
A small group was just getting in to join the two dolphins. This means: You are allowed on the platform, kneel down, take a small fish, then the dolphin comes in, swims the fish out of your hand and disappears again in the other tank. And the whole thing is of course not included in the entrance fee, but must be booked to expensive.
So get out on the roof and there put on the bleachers, because a lady announced that the show is about to begin. So there we sat and heard the story of the dolphin who was stranded and sunburned and rescued. The dolphin has hardly been seen, not even from the raised grandstand, because it is in the shade and you are in the sun.
There are 2 points for the commitment of this rescue station. But if you would use the money for the animals and not for foam machines I would be happier. The basins could have been made a bit nicer.
However, this is by no means an "aquarium". The animals are specially protected from annoying looks as they are shown. This should be advertised so synonymous.
Only giving it two stars because I think they have a good concept of helping the animals and it being cleaned. Everything else was a complete let down. You can barely see the dolphins and everything is in tiny pools while they wait to transfer the dolphins into a larger area. Its split up and when you go to look at the sea turtles downstairs you can barely see them. Not worth the cost AT ALL. Total disappointment. 80 bucks for 2 adults and 1 child.
Small, filthy, and totally underwhelming. The underwater viewing area was a narrow hallway and not accommodating for large groups AT ALL. They had more to look at in the gift shop than the actual aquarium. Paid $30 per person to walk around in a big circle around the dolphin tank... I just cant believe what a waste of time and money that was....
Paid something like $60 for a dolphin shaped USB drive with a bunch of photos on it that they took of us but every single file was corrupted and unable to be opened. So, that was a massive letdown. The actual aquarium part is awful. They're really putting all their eggs in the dolphin basket which yes, is cool but that's kind of it. Okay to visit once. Definitely more of a tourist spot.
This aquarium is super cute. Luckily I have a city pass, as this seems admission is a bit steep considering Florida aquarium is only an hour away and extremely nice. Still, all these animals are rescue and ya gotta support that. Getting to the aquarium from the parking garage is a little weird. You have to take a little walk around the construction they ve got going on. One thing I did notice is a million people work there. Every two feet there was an employee. Everyone was very nice but by the end I was a little talked out. The one thing my son LOVED was the science show where the make winter s gel slime. He was so excited to participate and the staff really went above and beyond ! The food was okay, next time we ll probably eat before hand- just because I m pregnant so I can t have cold cuts and that s pretty much their only options (they were out of buffalo wrap that day)
For locals with passes, I love this aquarium. For visitors... maybe pay the extra $4 for Florida aquarium
While CMA is a bit expensive, it is absolutely worth it. This is a wonderful stop to teach kids and see some amazing animals overcome adversity. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this place.
It literally took about 10 minutes to see all of the marine life. If you're wanting to see a lot of different sea creatures, I would pass especially for the high price to enter and the $10 to park. Very disappointing...
50+ dollars for two people and you can walk around the entire place in less than 15 minutes. They force you over to some green screen to take your picture to get you for some picture package. Don't blow your doe.
Had a great time here! We got the package for admission and the boat tour as well as feeding the otters, everyone was very kind and helpful. Most deff will return some day!
I was there to see Winter and I was so amazed of how beautiful she was. I so wanted to take her home. I'll never forget the great amazing time I had while I was there
Hope and winter are main star attractions. Nothing much else to see. There is another male dolphin and they have a small show with him. Also there there couple of others and a turtle, and shows with them, but they are okay. Can easily be done in an HR if you don't wanna see the shows.
I've been watching winter on they're website for a few days and i've noticed that winter doesn't like swimming much. It seem like winter is a little bit self conscious about swimming. I think its wrong forcing that dolphin too swim for entertainment purposes, and didn't they get her a prosthetic fin? Or was that a lie? Its clear that winter is self conscious about her lost fin. And embarrassing her infront of people like that is wrong. They can still do the show without winter. Let winter get a little bit more comfortable with her fin instead of using her for money. She might be an animal but even they have feelings too.
Actually a great place for dolphin fans, but poor care condition (small pool, no nice ambience,), Dolphin Winter and the other animals can be sorry currently renovations (new extension), right high entrance fees, parking additional 10 $, in 2h you have seen everything, you can do better (see Marineland St. Augustin)
Great rescue facility/ aquarium. Cam be pricey. Look for after 4 tickets. Very affordable. They are doing great things here and take care of their marine animals. Can't say enough great things about staff and experience, though it is sort compared to Tampa's. Check it out.
Holy tourist trap lol. The kids wanted to go see winter the dolphin. Tickets were complicated and expensive, not very good directions for exploring the place, portable toilets, food was HORRIBLE and super expensive, and never got to see Winter bc he/she was resting. I don't mind that it was sleeping, or the other stuff, bc at its core it is a rehabilitation center, but if you're gonna charge booko bucks for something like that it needs to be a little bit more customer friendly.
The people that work here are friendly and really do care, but I had a few problems. If you're brining a toddler or infant, this place is not stroller friendly. It gets so crowded and the walkways are narrow. I'd maybe come back if my kid was a few years older and didn't need a stroller, but even then it's got a lot of narrow/tight spaces.
We drove all the way from Lakeland to do the boat ride with our kids we caught traffic on the bridge we even called to tell them we would be 5 mins Late the lady said it was fine so when we got there they would not let us on the trip was for 1:30 and we got there at 1:35. The older lady at check in was so rude to us then after she said well you can just go in the aquarium for free ok just give them that so they can go. It was the worse customer service experience ever!
This was an interesting place. Its smaller than I expected, but Winter was cool to see. If you can handle being in a crowded space then this would be a fun little trip.
