It's the home of "Animal Abuse and Cruelty" and we have changed our vacation plans. We will be going to California and Mt. Whitney, maybe spend some time in the Joshua Tree Forest.

After an Austin County grand jury decided not to indict Kristen Lindsey, the veterinarian who posted a picture of herself on Facebook holding a cat by an arrow through the cat s head and bragging about the kill, Alley Cat Allies hosted two vigils in Texas to honor the memory of the cat. We also held two workshops on Trap-Neuter-Return, humane cat care, and anti-cruelty laws. Now, Alley Cat Allies is urging Brenham to adopt a model Trap-Neuter-Return ordinance that will save cats lives.

TEXAS will not now, nor ever be our destination.
