They like to harass you for no reason. Apd has nothing to do and they are very disrespectful

Called them to report a hit & run that had happened late the night before & they told me I would have to come up to the station to report it. I made it very clear to the woman on the phone exactly what time it happened & that it was the night prior & she still told me to come up to the station. Went up to the station in the busted car that had been hit & the woman at the front told me that she couldn t file a report because I didn t immediately report it after it happened & to let my insurance know about the accident. The only reason I ever spoke to them was because my insurance told me I needed to file a police report, so not only did the Allen police department waste my time in person by not even attempting to help me, they wasted my time on the phone by making me come up to the station instead of just telling me there was nothing they could do over the phone. On top of wasting my time, they also put me in possible danger by having me drive up to the station in the car I had the accident in. So thanks for absolutely nothing!

Very disappointed in the quality of service from Allen PD. Someone either rammed my car with a shopping cart or backed into my car at Target. The officer who arrived wasn t very friendly at all. I don t know whether it was because I m a minority or because it was raining outside, and he obviously felt like he had better things to do. But, he took a look at the car for maybe a second, told me it could ve been the wind for all he knows... Yeah, I doubt the wind could have caused a cart to do this type of damage to my car. I told him I d like to file a police report so I can make a claim on my insurance, and he told me there s no report to be made since I didn t see the person who did it... That s the first time I ve heard of such a thing. He also told me that reports typically take an hour and there s a storm coming. I had to point out that there were cameras right there in the parking lot. In the end, he didn t help me and told me he has serious matters to attend to. I love living in Allen, but the impression I ve gotten of the PD is that they re composed of miserable, unfriendly and unhelpful officers that need to lighten up and do their jobs better.

Obviously these people are not paid to be your friends, but they are paid to protect and serve the community. The problem is that they have so many police officers, in a town with so little crime. I would say that 85% of allen citezens has been given a ticket, or had a negative expierance with the allen police department, and the others are police officers themselves. You have NO chance at living in allen if you are within the ages of 14-26 without being picked on by the blue suited bullies.

I am a hard working construction man, working 15 hour days. Sometimes on a long day like this it s nearly impossible for me to drive an hour home and get enough sleep. I slept in my car in a Walmart parking lot in Allen, and was harassed for my identification though I broke no laws and was treated as if I was a criminal. The tyrany I have experienced with this police force just recently and in the past is just pitiful.

Allen PD is great. Had a call recently, and the officers were incredibly professional and resolved the issue diplomatically. Glad to see they are truly here to protect and serve!

Officers handcuffed me very gently, squad car was also quite roomy. Overall, very professional experience. Will get arrested by them again, for sure.

It seems that corruption has a home in Texas. My brother was driving through Allen late one night after work. His low beams weren't working so well, so he used his high beams. There was absolutely no one on the roads. Well, there was a cop. He was there waiting in the median, without his headlights, I believe. The funny thing is that the cop - by sitting in the median without his headlights - was breaking the very law that he was about to use against my brother.

He was with a girl. The cop, that is, he was training a young female officer. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that formed the basis for everything that transpired. The cop was going to cite my brother for his high beams. But Texas law allows for high beams while no one is on the road around you. In fact, high beams can be used even if a car is driving on the other side of the median. Funny, again, Texas law strictly prohibits these cops from sitting in the median without their headlights on.

I have watched the video. Everything that the cop did, he did to impress his female officer. My brother kept asking why he would be cited when no one was on the roads and he had no other choice - his high beams were broken. The male cop found an opportunity, lied about my brother's statements, and arrested him for not cooperating. Again, he had only been asking why he was being cited. He repeatedly asked for a supervisor. He was told that no supervisor would be coming out to speak with him.

The prosecutor behaved as a lying scumbag. He knew the law. He knows that there was no one on the roads - he admitted it himself! But the legal system in Texas doesn't care. My brother in the end had to plea bargain at the county court. We don't have money for high-dollar attorneys, and so people like us suffer under the unbearable weight of an oppressive and corrupt government. Here is Allen, Texas - a perfect example. Thank you, Allen PD.

I'm not too impressed with the Police Department. My car got dented outside the Walmart and I tried to call it in to report it. The officer on the line actually discouraged me from doing it. He advised it was a lot of work for them to ask Walmart for their surveillance video and it would take too much time to review the footage. And even if they saw something, the officer implied they may not be able to identify any suspects because some cameras have low resolution and bad angles. This determination was made by the PD only 5 minutes into our conversation. The cops had not even seen the video to determine if they could or could not identify someone.

If you have the misfortune of being involved in a car accident in Allen, don t count on any assistance from Allen PD. We used to live in Allen and had a guy rear-end us a few years ago, so we called the police to file a report. They took what seemed like forever to show up (30+ minutes) and when they did arrive, they wasted no time in telling us that they weren t going do anything as it was a civil matter and they don t get involved. What a farce.

Much busier departments go to the trouble of filing accident reports. Allen PD...what makes you so special? God forbid you have to actually take a break from racing around town in your Tahoes to do your job.

A complete and utter joke of a department. (Background) I have tried to talk to the neighbor twice and my wife twice. I called about a neighbor who has been using a dog whistle and some type of machine that emits a sound like a hearing test in the military for at least the past 3 - 4 months( When I noticed it) 3 to 4 am all hours of the day and whenever I step outside. It also effects my electricity makes them flicker, the lights. I'm pretty sure I have permanent hearing problems now as does my wife (constant ringing). So I call the non emergency number. Explain the situation while the cop laughs tell them I have recordings says it doesn't matter. The sorry excuse for a police officer continues to laugh, nothing they can do about it especially during the day. He says even with recordings doesn't matter. It has to be at night above a certain decibel and to call a police officer because I'm sure the neighbor wont turn it off and the police will be here jolly quick, says they are trained for that. The whole time this guy laughed on and off. So now I wear earplugs and shooting ear muffs during the day and at night, only partially helps. Thanks for nothing.

Most unlawful , unorganized department in the whole state of texas.. Unlawfully following me everyday. harass me and my business i work at on the daily. They even followed me to my dying grandmas nursing home in DENTON (dash cam recorded.) Unmarked car also. to see if i was doing something unlawful which i wasnt. Came into my house and threw my fathers urn upside down asking me if there was drugs in it. Text my family trying to set them up of drug deals ? This will forsure be harassment case , that i will make sure every news outlet and facebook know the truth about the department and narcotics department. Im tired of being harassed all these years .

Absolutely disgusted at not only their attitudes but their complete lack of responsibility, we live across from Country Meadows Park on Country Lane and we've called at least 4 times to get someone out here to direct the traffic because people are flying through here for the 4th of July Celebration, clipping cars left and right including one of our cars. Guess who showed up? Absolutely no one. Horrible way to take care of your community, especially when people are flying near a park with children everywhere.

These guys busted in a house with a mom sitting on the couch reading, threw a flash crash at her and then we she got scared and ran away from it they tackled her and hand cuffed her. She was cut with glass from the window they broke and all beat up from being slammed on the floor. For all she knew it was the Taliban coming after her with all the hooping and hollering these nuts were doing. All this because of a picture on snap chat with her son holding a toy gun showing off being a kid. I hope the media looks into this. It could have been handled way differently.

I am getting harassed and I called the department and they did absolutely nothing except tell me that I should confront the guy that s harassing me ... umm what? I definitely do not feel safe in Allen no more.

After my tire blew out the HWY 75, I made the condition worse by I driving another mile trying to get out of the Highway and the service road... NTTA roadside assistance called APD while my actual Insurance was taking forever, Officer Craig came to me, reassuring me that the area wasn't bad, that I shouldn't worry, it was dark and freaking cold, him and his buddy (can't remember the other officer's name) gave it another try, both tried really hard to help me, Officer Craig even went back to his patrol car to get some of his equipment to help... He waited till I got someone from the Roadside assistance before he left. I have never be the one to judge situations by current political climate, but it was nice to experience this, and it was even more significant because this happened just the night before my naturalization ceremony to become a U.S. Citizen. Thank you Allen PD and Shout out to Officer Craig.

JUST BEAT YOU AT YOUR STUPID GAME ALLEN PD. I moved to Allen TX about 12 years ago and finished my last two years of high school. Since that time, every interaction with allen PD has been a joke, and I'm one of thousands of people with the same opinion.

I have a perfectly clean record, have never caused problems, am a good person yet it has always been constant harassment from Allen PD. I have constantly had to deal with my entire car being torn apart and searched for drugs, have received tickets for unattended motor vehicle for starting my car in the morning 5 minutes before I leave to let it warm up even though the doors were locked, but have never been charged with any real crimes just parking tickets and harrassment.

Well about a year ago I was arrested for DWI outside of my car, and was not intoxicated. The cop was extremely aggressive with me, and did not handle the situation correctly At All. I am not wealthy, I have had to scrape pennies together to prove my innocence. I have spent lots of money fighting with these guys on this, and I have been found NOT GUILTY. I even had a couple of members of the jury find me outside the courtroom afterwards to tell me that they are sorry for all of the money spent, stress caused, and harrassment by the officer. To hear that from someone I don't know in any way was extremely gratifying.

Needless to say I will be going around this city never into it again because these cops are horrible. Trash. I appreciate real police that have things to do in all the surrounding areas.
I have had nothing but pleasant interactions with every other police force except this one. These are the reject police. The ones that were bullies in high school and could never amount to anything, so they play hardass in one of the wealthiest cities where nothing ever happens for the amount of cops that are employed there.

Allen PD, you need to make some changes, operate differently, thin the herd. I'm sure everyone there can't be bad, but ya'll have a very high number of dirtbags working there. Train to serve and protect with compassion, not harassment, and aggression.

Never expected from a police officer to harass a single mother and her kid accusing us for something that never happened and refusing to look at cameras to see what actually happened . Not professional, and scared my kid ! Shame!

Left message for public information officer received no return call when I called back the officer answering the phone for him was very rude,hurried and annoyed that I even bothered to call them. Not friendly or helpful at all.And when I attempted to explain how his attitude was coming off over the phone he just kept insisting what do you need sir what s your address

Someone had hit my car while backing up and ran away. I found it later in the day and also saw a suspect truck which also had damage (looked like that truck hit my car while backing up) and took pictures. Called Allen PD and they sent an officer right away. But by that time (10 minutes), the suspect had already left. The officer tracked down his info (from the pictures I took) and found out that the suspect was in another wreck a few minutes ago. We went there and Plano PD were also there for the other wreck. The suspect confessed to hitting my car while backing up that morning. Allen PD Officer was able to track down that out of towner suspect and had him give his insurance info to me in about 75 minutes since I first called them. Now that is some very impressive stuff right there! Love Allen PD

Thank you Officer Keys for keeping Citizens of Allen and Allen roads safe. I received a citation this morning for breaking the law and not wearing my seatbelt. I was very short with him and I do not believe that is how Officer's should be treated. I will gladly pay my ticket and from now on wear my safety belt. I recently bought a house in Allen and it was because of the great people, school district and officer's that are there to forever keep my daughter and I safe. Thank you for your service!

Got pulled over and was told that my temp plates were placed wrong. Was told that they needed to be placed behind the window. The officer ran my vin and asked me where I stayed. I really think I was honestly racially profiled. I think he thought I was a man because I had a hat on. Either way he told me the tags are supposed to be on the outside of the window and I was told by another officer they were in the rite place(where the license plate goes). I don't know but i didn't get a ticket for the plates and every single vehicle I have seen the paper plates are where the license plate goes.

Terrible police department. I live in Fort Worth now and the cops are so friendly and respectful. Allen Police are constantly abusing their power and they just dont care about the welfare of the citizens. They punish you for making them work.

I was arrested under false claims by PD and wasn't able to be properly dressed before taken in ,then released at 6am with no way home and not properly dressed to walk home and they wouldn't give me a ride back home !! They are only against you. Never for you !!!

i just moved to allen, in 18 years of driving since i got my license i have never got a ticket. and only pulled over 2 times with no ticket. just the other day my son and i where leaving my new neighborhood on the way to church and i did a normal stop for about 1 second and turned right at a stop sign. a officer named jaccobs who was doing a speed trap saw me and gave me a ticket because i didn t stop long enough. i decided to do deferred disposition because i drive very safe still payed 237$ and cant get a ticket for 90 days. i wish he would have looked at my records and seen my perfect driving record but oh well the law is the law. i seen this officer all the time pulling people over. personally im happy laws are laws. and im glad they are being enforced here in my neighborhood. also very nice people at allen municipal court. im thankful that i got a ticket from such a professional nice officer. although it sucks lol please keep being professional and upholding the law allen

Officers were called out to the Marriott Delta Hotel on Watters Rd. based on lies told to them by the MOD/staff. I know the hotel manager had already lied to me to keep me in the hotel after I had told him multiple times that I wanted to leave. I can t imagine what lies he told to the officers based on the response upon their arrival.

The officers took understandable precautions to protect themselves against whatever they had been told by this manager upon their arrival; listened to the truth/facts, and recognized that there was in fact no threat. They did a great job.

I will get to the bottom of the situation eventually, but a Hotel Manager lying to me, the guest, and lying to the Police is unacceptable and my Attorney will let me know if embellishment to the point of lying to the police is legal, and if not I will pursue criminal charges against the hotel and the MOD for wasting Allen PD time and resources to carry out what appeared to be a personal vendetta against me, a Titanium Elite (top tier) Marriott customer. I hope the Police do the same.

The officers realized that there was no legitimate reason for them to have been called and they professionally handled the situation to the best of their ability.

I commend the officers for their professionalism in recognizing and resolving the issue drummed up by the Manager on duty at the Delta Hotel.

This police department is home to some of the dirtiest cops you'll probably ever see. They tried to throw me in jail for drinking and driving (I was 17 at the time with not a drop in me or bottle in the car). He said he could smell the alcohol and insisted he was right and made all my friends and I get out of the car while he looked through the vehicle. He was extremely rude to us the whole time and was not beliving me despite my hundreds of times telling him I was not drinking. These cops do nothing but harass teenagers and try to throw you in jail for anything. If you're a teenager or have a teen kid, stay the hell away from this place. Absolutely dispicable that this is the example set here. Absolute shame on them and the bad image they give for police officers everywhere.

Don't upset them because they will assign a cop in a marked police car to follow you around all day, spy on you while you go to the store, then follow you home.

I am very impressed with services provided by the Allen Police Department. The police are always there when citizen's need help. Good work from the patrol personnel in blue. GO BIG BLUE.
