Miss the old stage for the performers. Now they have a small stage that you can only be in front of. They are definitely making the place more modern and updating the kids area. I just wish they were more strict on the no smoking areas.

It's a good hotel for your money! The reason is not 4or5 it's because the last night we were there, our key wouldn't work, the security's keys wouldn't work, had to stand in the hallways for 30+ min at 2am in the morning to be able to get back in our room!

I went to the casino because my husband wanted to gamble some money, but with our family we spent all night at the the kids arcade. By the time the kids were done playing (because they closed the arcade) we were all too tired to gamble.

It wasnt too crowded. Lots of fun games and awesome performances. Casino was pretty quiet. Attendants seemed kind of bored but were chill and explained how to win bigger prizes. We left with a monumental amount of stuffed animals. Also this place has the biggest margaritas Ive ever seen, absolutely delicious. Cant wait to go back.

Improving every year. Visit often to play in the new arcade above the mid way. Has Mario Kart, Pacman and some other fun titles. Good way to have fun sober or not. Friendly environment. It is located right next to the new food court.

Probably not somewhere to go if you have a lot of kids and dont have a lot of money. My dad spent at least $120 on the 3 of us just for the little bit of time we were there, and thats only for the games. I thought the room was fine but my grandma kept complaining the whole time. In the hotel room the bathroom was very nice and the beds were soft but I did wake up in the middle of the night because the air was loud but not too bad. Overall we all had a great time and it was fun!

Good location. Rooms are clean but lacks basic facilities like a microwave and the coffee kettle. These are essential when traveling as a family with little kids.
I expected some circus themes in the rooms but that wasn't the case.

Lousy service went with my wife she has 3 torn ligaments in her foot. Help desk did not inform us of the way to the room. The way to the room floor was so rough the bumping made her foot swell. The gap on the tram got the knee cart stuck. Couple spots no ramp access so she had to walk on stairs. If disabled do not go here not frendly or helpfully and lacking access.

Slot machines are TIGHT AF! I play slots all over Northern California and northern Nevada from small locals casinos to the big 6 ie, GSR, Atlantis, Peppermill and the big 3 downtown so believe me when I tell you, stay clear of their machines...your welcome!

As for their hotel, it s the Circus. So don t expect too much and you won t be disappointed. All joking aside their renovated rooms are nice, new food court that replaced their buffet is decent and convenient. I guess I still come here for the nostalgic memories of when we use to visit as kids so no matter what the Circus will always have a special place in my heart.

Amazing experiance, I mean there is fun for everyone here. It's a little pricey, but if you watch prices like a hawk you will get some great deals! Definitely a go to spot for whenever I'm in reno because it connects to some great places like silver legacy buffet

Very fun environment we take the kids every year on our vacation to tahoe. It's just like "The Midway" from State Fair or local fair. They even have live shows right in the free for everyone to watch. Right below the Midway is a full adult casino that will finish milking your money away lol it's a fun place for adults and or kids.

Very negative experience. People on our floor smoked cigarettes and weed in their rooms all day and night. I called down repeatedly. They told me security would take care of it and NOTHING was done. No microwave in the hotel room and, even though we asked, housecleaning didn't come. The workers were nice but they weren't helpful.
**Response to response: I won't post private information on a public forum. I tried to email you and I got this error. I'm happy to have a conversation about my stay at your hotel. Feel free to email me directly.

It's your average Reno casino. It's well maintained and has the latest machines in all denominations. The Midway is always fun for the kids but I miss the days when the games used quarters. The swipe cards are a little too much for eager little ones.

Kind of got suckered by the price which is advertised really low, then add on resort fees after the original price, then somehow more resort fees while checking in...really hard to find anything, no signs stating where anything is. Staff was good. Casino really really smells bad of cigarettes, burns your eyes. The rooms were okay, sort of dirty, shower nozzle was maybe the worst one I ve ever experienced. Not really impressed for the money.

The biggest reason for only 4 stars is the beds. They are not very comfortable, and the pillows are just awful. The cable is also lacking. However, the shower is lovely, there are power outlets on the lamp between the beds, and the staff is great. Very small towels. The casino is fun but the cocktail waitress was never around (you get free drinks as long as you're gambling). El Jefe's is disgusting and the service is awful. The arcade is fun, but I expected a bit more from the little circus shows. They take place in the midway of the arcade, and it's just one little act. Impressive acts, but not what I expect a circus to be. We did not attend a paid cirque show, but I assume they would be better. There is a mini fridge in the rooms, and it works well.

Fun. The midway here has lots games for kids. Bring your hand sanitizer for sure. There were sections that were walled off not sure why. Maybe not enough workers. Couldn't get to the skeeball machine. Other than that there were 2 circus shows while I was here with the kids. Fun place to spend an afternoon.

I haven't been to Las Vegas but if you have limited time and you are heading to San Francisco or bay area and if casino is in your bucket list then you definitely need to add Reno to your list. We went on Saturday night and all the casinos were filled. We stayed in circus circus, it's one of the casino among the three giants which hosts its own casino. A perfect place to stay and enjoy in a casino.
Easy check-in and check out.Rooms were good, what else one might in need of. One drawback which I thought is number of boards were very less and casinos were all filled with digital ones which seems to be slightly bothering. All the bar and restaurant were good. Even if you want to take a walk , best time is to go after 10PM . You can have a good view of the lights .
The row is all integrated and you can move between all the 3 casinos . They too have play area like arcade games for little kids . Please note children are not allowed inside the casino . You need to have alternate arrangements for that.
We loved this place more as this is only 50+ miles from Lake Tahoe and this was helping us to take rest after tiresome day in Lake Tahoe

Hotel rating- 3 stars

Hotel rating- 3 stars
Don't go to this place if you want luxury
Lamp not working, bedsheet has hole, etc.
View was nice
Vending machine for soda and ice right next to hotel
No mini-fridge, safe, or microwave included with hotel
Hotel was OK for price, nothing out of the extraordinary

Casino and Arcade rating- 5 stars
Lobby was kid-friendly
There were great free circus shows included
Some coupons come with the hotel keys
You can easily win many stuffies with 10-20 dollars in the arcade
There is a tram to transport you to and from the three circus circus buildings, although you could easily walk
The restaurants in the hotel- panda express, piezetta (pizza place,) and others are all awesome. The pizza place costs 10 bucks for unlimited toppings pizza, and 8 for only one topping
You can make many memories
Btw, if you are with kids, there are two candy machines on the fourth floor (they will love it!)

Overall rating- 4 stars
If you had to choose between silver legacy, emparadado and this (and you have kids,) choose this because it is more kid-friendly
Overall location is nice.
Lake Tahoe is 1 and a half hours away from here

This is a great casino. One of the oldies and goodies. At 2018 Street Vibrations, they gave the bikers the second floor in the garage and put a security guard on the bikes 24/7. Wow! That was fantastic! The food was great and the employees were courteous. I go back often.

Room is fine. Housekeeping is excellent. Food at a few of the cheaper reastaurants, including The Habit (some healthy options as well) was surprisingly not too shabby. Everything else was poor. Tell me my room number, and lead me on a long excursion late on a Saturday night, because the clerk fails to tell me there is a separate Sky Tower with a separate set of elevators that is literally almost 1/10 of a mile away and no where near many of the hotel amenities. The shuttle I wound up trying the next day was pointless. You jump on and then wait, and wait.... then proceeds to go maybe 5 mph to get you between buildings. It s faster just to walk. So why bother?! Called room service 3 times over 15 minute span and on a weekday after most vacationers had left. Nobody picked up. The elevators took forever on many occasions and too many workers slowing them down to go floor to floor doing doomed kind of remodeling: not to mention painting, blocking entry to doorways to get to the garage. Difficult to get your bearings as well trying to find where you were parked. I guess the degenerate gamblers weren t as bad here though once I started exploring the downtown region by foot between the college campus and Riverwalk. What a dump Reno is! Times Square in the old days wasn t this seedy!

this place is great for kids. the rooms are good. Housekeeping maids are good with providing stuff that are needed.

bathrooms inside the rooms were cleaned OK, despite finding pubic hair in bath tubs and nose hairs in the sink. the bed sheets on one of my beds stunk like the body odor from whom ever used it last. luckily we were only staying for a night due to the recent snow fall, 2-21-2017, that had us stuck there.

my family and kids were there two nights prior to the snow fall and that room was OK too. crumbs of crackers and food were found near the bed but we were able to get past that.

Really fun place! This place is just the best after playing in the snow or whatever you did during the day by having even more fun inside! Especially the midway that had a renovation way overdue and done when eldorado bought it out from MGM! They did a fantastic job of turning around the casino as if it was an episode of hotel nightmares without Gordon Ramsay! Speaking of which, they also updated the food! Sure, there isnt the steakhouse or the buffet, but thats okay because replacing all of that is panda Express, renos only Habit i can see and a pizza place! While surely its not the same how i remember it it used to be, they got really strong public wifi and new games which im sure younger people will enjoy it as much as i when i was little!

Circus Circus is a great place to stay when in Reno. The rooms are modern and comfortable and the service is wonderful. Initially the parking garages are a bit confusing as there are no signs pointing towards the guest registration area until you are on the 2nd floor of the garage. Other than that, the hotel is great.

Don't come here. The rooms were $155.00 and they were not that great. They tried to update them but did a horrible job. Also, the casino has no table games. Yes you read that correctly, not a single table game. No blackjack, three card, craps, roulette, nothing! Spend your money elsewhere this place was so disappointing!

Pretty nice place. I only dipped in to play blackjack for an hour or so. Didn't do that good but that's not their fault (sort of). The dealers were friendly and the other patron weren't jerks. Would gladly go back.

So Circus Circus is really accessible from the streets and parking garages. The monorail leading into the casino is pretty efficient, two parking garages with plenty of space. The inside is nice enough, nothing too spectacular. Exceptionally clean, to be honest my only complaints is that the whole scene is a tad bland.

Very disappointing! Drive through inclement weather to get here, only to find out there are no circus acts like their website says. When I asked about it they said that the circus workers' contract was done at the end of the year, so they don't do it any more.
This was the only reason we drove all this way! Please do not spend your money to travel here. They do not keep their website up to date. We easily could have not left town and taken the kids to Chuck E Cheese for minimal cost and same entertainment.

Was there this past weekend for three nights with my wife. During our stay we got some serious bug bites from the room and complained to management. They did nothing for compensation or really cared about our troubles. Would not recommend anyone or family to stay at that establishment. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else. If you have kids please stay away from this place. On one note circus circus is owned by Eldorado so I would probably think you would have the same experience there as well.

Our family of 4 stayed... 2 adults 2 kids.
Had everything you could ask for..
So much fun.
The views from the 26th floor were awesome ,and the river is near by.
The only thing I could have asked to be different is having the children's arcade on the bottom floor instead of right above the open airway where the cigarette smoke from the adults casino passes through.
Not a smart layout plan..

I had not been here in many years, but I don't recall the games costing quite that much ($1-$2ea) if anything. I think they used to be free. I'm speaking of the Midway games upstairs above the casino. Even though they do charge now to play the games it is much more fun to actually play a game and pretty much guaranteed a win at some point, then at the casino part which I generally throw money away at. Also the performance area has been cut way down. it used to be quite large overhead and they've cut that about in half and also made a stage below. Still entertaining but not quite so exciting. They have updated the casino area and the rooms and they're quite nice and clean. This is still the best place on the whole strip to bring children. My grand kids had a great time and brought home a bagful of stuffed creatures! (Most of which they will be donating, as was the deal beforehand)

Got here last night and expected to get the bottle of spirits that was supposed to come with my stay. When I asked about it the lady at the front desk told me I got the room for 35% off? Which was not true I paid full price for the room. Other than that the room was fine.

Anniversary should be better! Requested a king sized bed, got two queens instead. We wanted an experience with what we requested...not what they wanted us to be in. Should have gone elsewhere! Nicotine stains are bleeding through the paint, slow drains and the mattresses are to be desired they are so worn. Should be a one star for the amount we paid in equivalent to the quality of the room. Could be better.

This is one of the nicer hotels in Reno. However, it's not that nice. It needs a good update. And since it is one of the few hotels that offer entertainment other than gambling and drinking, this place is always crowded. Reno is not that fun anymore. Unless you are there to drink and drink and drink, then not fun....

The place smelled like nasty smoke mixed with air freshener everywhere, including in the Midway. The DDR game in the arcade area doesn't actually play any music, likely because of broken speakers. Employees in Midway looked very, very unenthusiastic, like they would much rather be doing something else. The Midway act schedule is misrepresented on the Circus Circus website. The schedule for Saturday states "Circus Acts - Every 45 minutes beginning at 11 am." Calculating this out, there should have been a show at 4:15 and 5:00. However, the actual shows lined up on a different schedule, and the show we hoped to watch at 5:00 was actually at 6:00, throwing off our entire schedule. The show schedule needs to be posted online. Despite all that, the actual show we watched (Trapeze) was really quite nice.
