Circus Circus Reno Review

Updates not to my preference. Used to LOVE Circus Circus.

This place has plenty to do. From what I have experienced, they have a circus and amazing arcade area. There are plenty of places to eat and the food quality and quantity is great. They do have adult areas, gambling, bars, etc... the only reason why its not a 5 star is because I am from Las Vegas and i have experienced true 5 star hotel/casinos

We originally planned to stay here but it really did not appeal to us.
The resort fee is a joke. Outside everything is run down.

Drop the resort fee, put better food joints in and keep up with the cleaning of the food joints and business shall increase.

I have tons more ideas to increase business there but it requires more than telling you.

We turned around and went back home seeing how boring it was.

Quick check in easy check out. Room was descent. Circus circus is always great fun for the kids. And games aren't that expensive compared to fair carnivals.

I really liked the room, check in was great. Didn't like having to go so far to the room from the check in. But for the price worth the walk.

Circus Circus Hotel here in Reno is definitely one of the top choice hotel if you have kids traveling with you. They offer free circus acts and also have a variety of games for kids of all ages. The restaurant choices here are plenty as they just opened a new food court. The hotel is clean and the rooms are affordable. Definitely worth checking it out if you visit Reno.

Stayed in the skyport side of the hotel. The rooms were clean and upgraded. Loved the bathroom mirror! We found the skyport parking garage and life got so much easier. Loved our stay. Definitely coming back

Clothes that we forgot in the closet were not turned in to lost and found. My family and I will not stay here again. I'm very disappointed with the dishonesty.

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortably firm. Beautiful view from Sky Tower. Security was abundant throughout the common areas. Despite this there were occasionally people trying to sell us stuff. There was a great selection of food throughout and the 24 hour diner had great Chinese food and deserts. The buffet is great for selection, but I doubt any of it is better than the a la cart options, particularly for the price.

Great place all 3 Casinos. Circus Circus, El Dorado and Silver Legacy. Great comps from the new Marketing Manager. Family friendly and great valet service and Bellboy.

Very kid friendly place. Made a stop for the kids to unwind on our family trip, and they did enjoy the large game room. Limited ability to eat during weekdays, and the arcade hours are limited during school hours( I guess to prevent kids skipping)- so plan accordingly to avoid problems. Lots of free parking available. Clean rooms and nice staff.

The hotel was entertaining to say the least, circus-related paintings on all wall space available, and lots of family-oriented entertainment. The hotels rooms are average, you get what you paid for.

HOWEVER, upon our arrival, somebody had obviously slept in our bed (the sheets and blankets were tossed aside). Housekeeping was quick to respond to our phone call. But housekeeping knocks on your door pretty early... dislike. There were some mysterious stains on the carpet next to our beds... We had a standard room with two beds, one was extremely soft with no support whatsoever. And last but not least, why does anybody think one would want to make coffee right next to where they go to the bathroom?

We always stay in the casino Tower because there's no smoking but the view isn't so great well this past weekend when we went we stayed in the sky tower can I just say wow it was an amazing view from the 14th floor my daughter loved it I also appreciate the new food court by the Midway perfect for kids of all ages

Great place for the kids! I love taking my daughter's there and the food court is amazing and so convenient. Recommend getting your face painted! They do an amazing job!!!

The game area seems SO much smaller than it was last time I was here. I remember growing up I would always wanna go but now it's just whatever

So far, first impressions- the only downfall has been the employees. Hope it gets better. Be consistent at check in, we witnessed how welcoming you were to the party before us. Too bad we didn't receive the same treatment. Lead housekeeping staff, don't make fun of your customers with other employees when we are in the elevator together. You knew we could hear you. You and your cohort seem to be lacking direction and class.
Housekeeping, I mean the real workers, have been wonderful.
You have until check out to change my impression. Disappointed!

Great place to take the kids. Lots of games. Free shows. Clean environment. We are from Vegas and think the Reno location is better. If you're looking for a place to take your family and hang out, strongly suggest checking this place.

Only came for a short visit to gamble this time, but I have stayed here before in the past. Its always fun... That's why we keep coming back.

The arcade was the only place I visited in the hotel looking for something more exciting than the other hotels for kids but it wasn't much more exciting. I did enjoy that I didn't have to bring cash and card was excepted for all games

This is a decent hotel if you are looking for a cheaper room in town. They offer lower rates than the other properties usually, and the rooms have been recently renovated (at least the ones in the Sky Tower have). They now have a food court and a new coffee shop that have decent food, and the midway and new arcade if you are traveling with kids. It is connected to Silver Legacy and Eldorado (all the same company), so there are other food options nearby without having to go outside. Sips coffee by the front desk is a good place for coffee if you don't want to head to Starbucks inside Silver Legacy.

Loved it and fun for the kids. Just wised had better shows that time

Great place for the kids and parents to have fun together...only bad thing is it smelled a lot like cigarette smoke

I always prefer Circus circus whenever I visit Reno because of midway. It is a perfect place for kids specially toddlers. I see the true craziness in kids when they are there. Free circus shows are definitely something to mention about. Since all hotels and casinos are linked to each other(I think they call it row), there is no hassle in switching casinos. All restaurants are also available inside. Hotels rooms are pretty decent. I would always suggest to take the wing where they have casinos. The other wing is little far and you have to take internal shuttle.

Circus Circus is the best place to go with the family. You can do all sorts of activities! Which are great for the kids, they also have live performance which is just outstanding! I would recommend you take your family there if you ever wonder where to stay or have fun in reno.

Family trip many changes in the Arcade since I was last here must say it was fun my group enjoyed themselves.
The atmosphere was good the staff was great they were very friendly and helpful.

Very clean and more upscale than a couple of smaller casinos In this area. The have security and it feels safe being here. Card tables had seats open and the dealers were very nice. One lady kept us entertained for about an hour. They have a ton of slots with high payouts too. Play you're money right and you could walk out a winner.

Wonderful experience as always we booked at sky tower but the room didn't have a view, so one call to customer service and my family and I got a free upgrade to North tower looking downtown, it was a beautiful 5 day vacation. The slots where not paying up much but the important part is that we ate yummy food, played games with my kids and husband and i got some rest and really enjoyed our stay we had a blast thanks circus circus

They have a great place to take your kids to play Arcade games and to see the circus we had a lot of fun

Clean room, security check required to get to room, decent food. This isn t a 5-star hotel by any stretch, but it s good for the price. Has a midway and circus show for kids.

It is just a magical experience and it is an amazing place to just hang out with friends and family. Also the circus show is awesome.

I love this place. We've been multiple times with our son. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable, all at a very reasonable rate. We also love the fun games and performances they have for children.

The room wasn't very clean but it was comfy enough. The staff is great and the casino is decent. The restaurants are never open so I can't review them. I'm here for 3 nights and only the food court restaurants have been open. Next time I'm coming on a weekend.

Gaming area called the midway was closed during our stay which was kind of a bummer. The arcade was fun and we enjoyed the other hotels near by that offered buffet. As opposed to individual restaurants in circus circus. Room was clean and quiet. It was a good experience overall.

We have a 4 and 2 year old and they had a lot of fun at the Midway. Wish they had a pool and other kid friendly things as well.

Enjoy staying at Circus Circus in Reno just wish they would have a microwave in their room

We went there to spend time with our kids and to watch a small show. While there we've spent some time at the kids arcade and for some food at the food court. Our kids had a great time and therefore so did we.

Bobby and Manny are great, they will help you with whatever you need. Great selection of wines and liquor and beer. Also great prices.

Very nice experience. I stayed for 5 days over New Years & even tho very busy I never had to wait extremely long for anything (even check in went fairly quickly even tho the line was what seemed like miles long). Every employee I came in contact with was helpful & friendly. Jay in baggage claim was amazing!!

The room was clean and roomie. The bed was nice and comfortable with the wide frame.
Some stuffs were nice, the others were not really friendly.
I wish they had a fridge to keep food and drink in the room. Also, I wish an ice machine was in each floor for convenience.
There is a fitness room but no spa or pool.

It was safe and fun 80% of people we saw had mask!! But homeless can be an issue, like it's not an issue all over the !!!!! But if your looking for a great meal but pocket respectable go to Cal Neva 3rd floor even grandma says 4sho

Fun place to gamble,cocktail waitress slow or just not around,

This is the closest thing we have in Reno to compete vs the big boys in Las Vegas. I don't give it 5 stars because they are targeting kids as future gamblers. Other than that this is the best casino in town.

If you like cheap this is for you, old and grimy needs an upgrade

Circus Circus has slipped just not the place it used to be the fun atmosphere just doesn't seem to be there anymore while it wasn't really disappointing it just wasn't the Circus Circus of old I would return if I was taking friends but not on my own

The rooms are failing apart. The air in the hotel is awful. The kids enjoyed the kid area. It worked for a quick trip

Didn't stay here just walked in for a few drinks at main floor bar. Reasonable pricing for drinks. Smelled like cotton candy when we walked in. Casino looked clean. Staff was great never bothered us about promotions or events like they do in Vegas. Great place would consider staying here in future.

A very entertaining place to bring your kids. Everyone seems to be in the fun spirit here. Be ready to spend some money on games, you can spend a buck in a blink of an eye

Depending on your expectations it's nice. But I was not greatly impressed with my room or it's location. Not much info about navigation inside and it's a lot of walking

We came to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. We liked staying at Circus Circus last time so we said we would stay again plus my wife had a 20% off deal. The people have been so helpful and we liked security actually asked for room keys to be seen before heading to our room. We also appreciate the valet parking and luggage service. They were all very helpful and helped with information when my wife would ask. Room service was great cause it was open late. We would come back again next were bringing the family.

My nieces and nephews love this place they find it highly entertaining they seem to have fun and I seem to spend a lot of money.

This place is great for kids. All kinds of games and prizes. Like a little town. Even the girl at the prize counter was awesome. Very sweet and went above and beyond expectations.

Awesome place to visit for the whole family. Really cool kids arcade and circus games.

Everything is pretty much closed except arcade area....of course slot machines are working too...

Had a blast in the arcade and a couple good drinks in the bar. The circus show was nifty as well.

We took our grandbabies for a Circus Circus experience. We had fun but it's definitely on the pricey side but the girls had a BLAST and my little ones really liked the shows they had every 45 minutes or so . Pictures are from one of the act's ' it was a dog talent and they were good ..

Just amazing.Loved the games and the prizes. I loved the ball toss into the bucket game.Simple,challenging,and fun. Not the same as the one in Vegas but still an amazing place to stop by and enjoy the casino,arcade,performances, and food.

A friendly awesome place! Good for the kids and good for some free adult time.

We truly enjoyed our stay....and greatly appreciated the help in getting our room thru the VIP entrance...the lines to check in was absolutely insanely LONG....

We been going to Reno for 21 years and most of our trips we have stayed at circus circus. The kids always enjoyed the midway.
They have remodeled as ll the rooms and they also removed the buffet that part we where not happy.

Well maintained facility. Events and gaming and concessions are very satisfactory.

Excellent service and a lot of fun. I reccomend that if you are put with children you come here. Its was so much fun with my family.

Rm 732 large size corner room with king bed, good view of hills outside window and large bath. Room clean and only $50 midweek (plus $37 "resort" fee). Excellent location near St. Mary's hospital.

Not as magical as I remember as a kid... Sure would be neat if acrobats were still there

The room we stayed in was great clean and very spacious. The bathroom was wonderful. It was a smoking room and my only real complaint was that there wasn't proper air circulation and ventilation. The casino was a treat but a lot of the shops and what not were closed or closed early.
