Went for Christmas Eve. Based on the lobby and delay in being seated (30 min) with a reservation, it felt like they over booked. Despite being clearly overwhelmed, the service was pretty good. The 3 stars is about the food. I found the butternut squash soup bland and the risotto too salty. Considering it was a holiday, I'd give them another shot on a "regular" night, based on the service.

Visited Feb 11, 2017. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, but the service left something to be desired. It was slow, and the waitress often forgetful-- several times, took a very long time to get the appetizers, a long time to take the order, asked for more bread, to go with the appetizer but didn't get it until the entree. The waitress or busser seemed to have a hard time understanding I wanted non-carbonated water. That was the first clue. The wine was good as is the wine list selection, and the food was excellent. I'm surprised by all who have written this place has medicore/bland food, but the food was really quite tasty and the only reason it gets 3 stars. But service? It was good years ago, but meh this time. Needs work.

--Solved by Owner-- I purchased a giftcard on Dec 23rd (I knew it was not going to arrive in time by Christmas, so I planned on giving it to my parents a few days later since they were staying in Baltimore until January 12 and wanted them to have a nice meal). It has been 22 days! (1/14/19 today) and I am still waiting for the giftcard to arrive. Sadly, my parents have already left Maryland so they will not get to enjoy their present... I did sent an email last week and I am still waiting for a response. ORDER #1124

Cinghiale was great. I went during restaurant week and didn't particularly love my dish, but our waiter was fantastic ( knowledgeable on the menu items and wine pairings) and the atmosphere was upscale. I will come back and give it another try based on that, alone.

The food was bold but thoughtful. Radicchio salad was too much for me but the angel hair with beef ragu was melt in your mouth delicious. The duck was perfectly cooked at medium and the sauce was exactly what was needed. Dessert was panna cotta and gelato, not too heavy after a large meal but just what the taste buds needed to wrap up.

I just ate here again for about the 6th time because we went elsewhere and had a bad experience with apps and service... so we left to just get something delicious as a last dinner date before baby comes. Oh my goodness this place does not disappoint... and it never has. Cavatelli cooked perfectly with fresh huge morels and fava beans with crunchy garlic and zucchini strips. My husband thought I would have entree envy over his sausage stuffed parmesan ravioli in sage brown butter but he was mistaken. We got an extra cavatelli to go for the sitter and the service is always amazing. Forever my baltimore go to restaurant.

My wife and I used to love this place and in the past I've given them 5 stars, but in recent months they've really gone down hill. We literally walked out last time we were there. I give them them 2 stars only because I hope they'll return to their original quality.

A combination of great service and delicious food made for an excellent dining experience. The staff knew the menu very well and made very good recommendations. I was leaning towards the rabbit but the waiter had recommended the duck so I went on his recommendation and I was not disappointed. The duck was exceptional. Even though the kitchen was a little behind, the staff made up for it by offering complementary prosciutto and after dinner drinks.

Service was ok, food was way below par and not worth the money. In a group of 10 so dishes were varied and no one was impressed. Meats and cheese pre was great the rest of the meal was not. Haven't been in years and won't be going back anytime soon. If you do don't get the lasagna!

The food is not good. My daughter had the lobster risotto which was bland, with tiny flecks of lobster. My wife had the veal which was just okay. I had the venison pasta which was bland. My other daughter had the steak which was again just okay. No one finished their meals. We spent over $300 with tip and drinks - for that much I expected way more taste! I just can't get over how disappointing the food was, yet the place was hopping with customers. I gave it two stars because the staff was nice, otherwise it would have been 1. To echo another review on here, I haven't been this disappointed in a meal in a long time.

We recently celebrated our anniversary with friends. Cinghiale has a beautiful rustic motiff with pretty views of the harbor. (Check out their signature bronze boars above the bar!!) They have complimentary valet parking, which makes it super easy to come and go. We shared two great bottles of wine, did a 3-course supper, and had charcuterie and cheese. The chef's choice for the cheese was good, but the meats were exceptional. Try the wild boar (Cinghiale) sausage! Detectable!

I haven t even eaten yet and I feel compelled to give them a 5 star. I am here for a birthday dinner and somehow managed to break the bottle of wine I was bringing as a gift. They ran down to their wine store and grabbed a bag and then wrapped a new bottle for me. Outstanding customer service. I can t wait for the meal.

While the many restaurants of Little Italy are great for having a great plate of spaghetti and meatballs and other Italian-American favorites, Cinghiale is the place to go in Baltimore for a more authentic Italian fare. Overlooking the harbor, you can dine on a variety of northern Italian specialties, charcuterie and opulent deserts in a very formal yet comfortable setting. Recommend the price set menu to get a full complement of the menu. Prices are higher than other places, but are on par with the neighborhood. Reservations are recommended; especially on weekend nights.

Went in with my wife for our first anniversary on 11/14. Start to finish, this was an exceptional experience. Our server was a true professional and helped us understand an extensive wine list with some unfamiliar terms (for me, a novice). He did not guide us wrong. We ordered off the salami menu, got two pastas, and shared a main dish. This was a perfect amount of food. The tagliatelli dish with lamb was the highlight for me. Just awesome down to the last detail. For dessert, our server brought us a Panna cotta - which i didn't expect to enjoy - but it was fantastic!! A great way to close out a meal (and settle the stomach). I don't write a ton of reviews, but this restaurant left an impression!.. and took every precaution for covid which is greatly appreciated. Highly recommend. Enjoy.

Celebrated our 11th Anniversary there last night (9/5/20). We always carefully choose where we eat each year and this year was no different. The antipastas were delicious. My wife had the squid ink pasta and I had my favorite gnocchi. Both were outstanding. For our third choice my wife had the recommended Tbone steak and I had the pan seared Venison. Both cooked to perfection. I loved the wine reduction sauce with my venison and swiss shard. I don't like shard but loved it tonight. Tonight's front expertise was outstanding as well. Parrish recommended a Italian Cab that was so outstanding we asked where we can buy another for our own collection. Highly recommend and will return again in the future. Delaneys

Had a mixed experience. Dined here for dinner with a work group a few weeks ago, interviewing an out of town applicant. Food was excellent. Service was ok but not up to par for this restaurant. The wrong dish was delivered to one of my guests but no one noticed. We had all started eating and they brought out another dish that apparently was the right one. They swapped her meal but without much apology or acknowledgement of the mistake. It was handled poorly and in my experience if a service driven establishment makes a mistake they typically offer a verbal apology at a minimum. Might try again but with a lower stakes scenario.
