Always enjoyable. Parking is handy, good concession stand. A great variety of plays offered. One downside, always popular so usually packed. When they build or expand the current one, hopefully this will improve.

The first time I have ever left a play at intermission. I felt sorry for the cast as they were great but there was no plot, rhyme or reason to Charlie Brown. Very disappointing end to the season.

Nice productions in a nice set of theaters, but ticket prices rival the coasts and are higher than far richer theatre markets like Chicago and MPLS.
Great venue except for one thing...parking is the worst. Especially if there are played in both theaters. Quick there was tonight. There is barely enough parking if one of the theaters is open. But the shows are always great, the service is good and the venue is great. Still...but not a Five Star rating
It's a great theater. No bad seats. If you don't have garage parking get there a little early and park frre on the street. Then enjoy some drinks at the bar.
The show was amazing. I cannot wait to come to Cincinnati for another show at The Playhouse after all the exciting renovations coming.
I saw the Buddy Holly Story and I recommend that if you are reading this and you haven't seen the show GO NOW! It's on tour and would be well worth a day trip if it's only in a city nearby.

We love the theater and we love the shows, but in a city with such a great craft beer scene the selection here is very sad. I would rate it 5 stars if they started offering more. I love supporting the arts but I would love to spend my money on supporting our city's beer as well.

Parking could be more convenient it was raining and guests had to walk all around the building to get from parking to the door. Needs better handrails for walking down fairly steep stairs to seats many people at our show were older and seemed to have some difficulty.

We have attended several musicals and plays at the Cincinnati Playhouse and have enjoyed all. The Christmas Carol has been the best of all and we look forward to seeing again next year. Friendly staff and great talent.
Fantastic talent. Outside of shows at the Aronoff Center, this is the most professional theater in Cincinnati. The Cincinnati Shakespeare Company would be a close #3.
We got to In The Heights early, picked up drinks from the bar and then ordered food from the cafe. Drinks were priced accordingly for the venue but good pours on whiskey and wine. The food was amazing for pre-made selections. The show was great! We may see it again before the run ends! We'll be back this season for sure.
Expensive. The Shelter House venue is too small. Its size makes viewing the production less enjoyable
One of our favorites shows is the Christmas Carol. The actors and staff do a great job. A bit pricy in my opinion, but there are no bad seats here. We really enjoyed the show today. I also like to pre-purchase parking in the garage. Parking is only $10 this way and you don't have to walk far to get inside. You can park on the street for free, but you may have a long walk and a significant climb up a hill if it is a popular show (most are).
My daughter takes the kids classes here and we love everything she's been involved with.

Actors, actresses, and the shows are great here. The theatre has good acoustics; it's not too difficult to here the show from back rows. Seats aren't that comfortable, but there is usually an intermission for stretching your legs. However, I am not fond of the parking set up at all. It's a long walk up the hill if you can't find a parking spot on top. I suggest getting here early for parking, especially if you don't know the place well.
Love going to the playhouse. It is a special treat. We saw Treasure island and it was terrific. The acting was very good and well cast. Stage was creative and we'll suit to the play. There was a lot of activity on the stage through the play...action packed! The playhouse is a womy venue and Cincinnati is so lucky to have such a great entertainment place.

I took my daughter to see Treasure Island and everything was great. We sat all the way in the back and even those were great seats. Performance was top notch and the snacks and drinks are reasonably priced.

The reconfigured Shelter house is fabulous! The seating is much more comfortable and the entire atmosphere makes for an intimate theater experience. And the quality of the performances is incredible!
In the Heights is an energetic, top taping musical. I loved all the salsa music and great dancing. Cast has strong voices and the storyline and rap that tells it is another Lin-Manuel masterpiece.
Love the intimacy of this venue. Your always close to the actors.

The building is in need of service, really should always have a cleaning and maintenance staff, roof needs repair, leaks all over the place, the show however, Misery was great, the plays are always interesting
It's a nice playhouse with good theatres that don't really have a bad seat among them. Unfortunately, the quality of the plays they put on is a far cry from what I'm used to and prefer. I've been to 4 or 5 over the years and have yet to see one that stood out in any way, took on anything hard hitting or controversial or experimental. It's not that the acting is bad; it's the script choices that are lackluster. It's like they specialize in theater for people that don't actually like theater. I'll be sticking with the savvy troupes like Ensemble and Know from now on.
I really enjoy coming here. Shows are always great. Worthwhile experience.
I have been to the Playhouse multiple times over the last 10 years. My first experience was Always the Patsy Cline story and we were hooked. My husband didnt really want to go, but after much encouragement, he did go and loved it. I have seen Christmas Carol 2 times and look forward to going back. We have been in both theaters and thouroughly have enjoyed everything we have gone to see. It's an excellent value for a nice evening out whether you are out for date night with your honey or having a girls evening out. One if Cincinnati's jewels!

We just went to see the play, Misery. It was awesome! I love the theatre. Anywhere you sit, you get a perfect view of the stage. It is nice and intimate.
Tha atomosphere is wonderful at the Cincinnati Playhouse and what ever you make it to be. I chose to enjoy the moment and I thoroughly did enjoy the experience at Cincinnati Playhose!
Need better audio. I gave up my season tickets because I could not hear using their FM system and my hearing aids. I miss good live theather.

Seen Christmas at Pemberly. This place is a Gem. Bar service was very friendly. Although I have been Married 10 years. This would be a great first date!
Still one of the premier venues in the city. Not just with stage and set design, but also with the talent that is drawn. The staff is curtious and helpful. Parking in Mt. Adams can be difficult and the quality of the restaurants in the area has been dwindling in last few years. But on the whole, highly recommended.
We are frequent flyers at the Chart House. It's in a great spot for dinner after the theater. Great view of the river and the menu changes enough to keep it from ever getting stale.
The set and costume were very cool. The cast was very talented and entertaining. The actor who played Scrooge was outstanding. It was a great day out with the students.
