Way, way, WAY overpriced. Visited Saturday evening on the way to our vacation rental. Escaped with the esentials for breakfast. A small-ish grocery store with good quality but limited selection. No bananas until Monday!? Taos snooty, too. Actually saw a customer's vehicle with a "Go Home" window sticker. Heading to the brand-name stores 10 minutes further away today.

This is my go to market. They have a great selection of fresh produce and bulk foods. With any health food store you can end up spending much more on groceries, but in my experience if you follow what Cid's has on special you can do pretty well. They have the best salad bar!

There's no place like Cid's, elsewhere in Taos. Life wouldn't be the same without them. Conscientious produce selection thanks the the buyers, wonderful healthful options in the meat and fish department, and great staff! Great team here Cid!

Salad bar & hot food bar are standouts. The best tasting salad bar I have (ever) had. Also
Good prepared foods for grab and go. Store is very clean with great selections in all departments... check out their salsa meat/fish, produce and natural soap sections, all are top quality and are reasonably priced. Worth a stop anytime to eat, shop and browse. Very well managed, and employees are a pleasure.

I purchased genoa salami. Price $17/lb. I then went to Smiths for items not stocked at Cids. Checked Smiths price for Boars Head genoa salami. Half the price at Cids. See you later Cids!

I've been here 3 or 4 times now looking for specific Vegan items and they never have what I am looking for. Fortunately I've found what I needed at Smith's.

Update: Thanks for your reply. I have asked store clerks if you have the items, but haven't asked if you could stock them. I will keep that in mind!

This is my Taos friend's favorite market and no wonder why. It features real food with cool people in a dynamite atmosphere. Crazy murals adorn the space and you'll find every natural/organic food item that you're used to buying here as well as anywhere.

I have never felt disrespected as I did today! The cashier by the name of Michelle looked at me with discust because I'm Hispanic. And to top it off she's Hispanic too! I guess her parents never taught her manners how everyone should be treated with same and with respect. She did not greet me and she rudely told me the total. But with the gentleman behind me she smiled and greeted him. They say shop local but with this kind of treatment I think I shop out of town!

Great health food store with lots to choose from. Has a meat department which was surprising. But they have a lot of produce and items that you won't find at your local shopping centers. They also have a hot food cart which was awesome

The best place to shop in Taos! Excellent staff and management.

The butchers are especially helpful! I stopped being a practicing vegetarian 2 years ago, and they take the time to answer my questions about their products every time I ve needed help.

The folks in Health and Beauty are equally wonderful. They usually have everything I ve looked for, and are quick to get an order in for me whenever possible.

The guys in the produce department are always smiling and so welcoming. And the main man I see in the bulk department has knock out facial hair. A+ staff overall. Would shop here for life.

Cid s is an excellent place to find specialty foods, produce, and supplements. I go here for bulk foods/hygiene products, local produce, and sometimes hard to find world cuisine ingredients. They have a good selection of cheeses and fresh cut meats/seafood. My interactions with the staff have always been very positive. Yes, the prices are a bit higher, but understand this helps pay for the thought and care that goes into a locally owned business.

I've been going to this store for almost 2 months, and I really really like it. Their produce department, though not enormous, is well stocked, and I love the bulk section. The prices, like anywhere, are higher for some things than they should be, but if you shop smartly you'll be fine. I really love the donation chips you get for bringing your own bag. It makes me happy to know that I can choose which cause to donate to. All in all, great store!!!

Very expensive. Some great items at a high price. Some staff are knowledgeable but others are not. Can't afford to shop there very often except for the tinctures that are high priced but work.

Awesome natural grocer. Billion times better than Whole Foods/Amazon. I wish they had more alt-milk coffee creamers such as Nut Pods. And the Milkadamia boxed milk is not available. But they have great selection. Feels nice in there.

Cid's is a locally run grocery store providing a wide range of local and organic foods. They have just opened an excellent beer and wine store in the parking lot. Which has a good selection of New Mexican and imported beer and wine.

My favorite grocery store in Taos. Healthy selections abound in the extensive produce & bulk sections. Delicious prepared meals are also available, as well as a hot food buffet. There's also a wide choice of interesting beverages you just don't see everywhere.

I've found the staff consistently friendly & helpful over the years. Yes, the prices are high, so I'm more selective here than at other local food stores. Aside from the prices, my only gripe would be too much farmed fish - not enough wild caught & not enough free range meat.

This a the only true healthy food market in the area. The produce is pricey but they have good options. Their made on premises salads and carry out foods are good and prices seem reasonable on them. Many of the products that are also available at Natural Grocers, Sprouts or Wholefoods are quite pricey Ouch!
I would give them five stars for customer service and product selection but I think they gouge a bit on prices as the only option. Maybe a Sprouts should move to Taos?
