Cidade de Goa is one of the best properties in which I stayed in Goa. It breathes luxury and gives you a total feeling of being in a Portuguese town. Everything from lobby to restaurant to outdoors is designed to give you a Goa experience.

They also have a private beach and I totally loved the entire experience here. If you have a medium budget and want a true Goan experience, this is the place where your search ends.

Nice place but not up to the Taj standards. Still need to improve the service.

Behaviour of stuff is very bad, poor management team, charging for food which we have not consumed.

I had a very bad experience at the hotel. I was early for lunch so i took a walk on the beach with a couple of friends. The security guard refused to let me in from the beach entrance even though i informed him that i had a reservation at the restaurant. He informed us that he would make sure we wouldn't get served if we tried to eat at any restaurant on the property. He made us walk out, drive in through the main entrance and enter through the lobby. The security guard in the parking lot redirected me to a lower parking lot which was about 20 mts from where i had originally parked. We then walked up to the lobby from there and then entered the hotel and were taken to the restaurant (which was 10 mts from where we were standing when the guard made us leave the property!!) Outrageous!

Property is huge having almost 200 rooms. With large open area, good dining options and next to private beach one can have a very relaxing holiday here. Prices are dynamic and change every day. Staff is warm. Hotel provides free shuttle to airport. You can get taxi for city tour easily from the hotel itself at reasonable price.

Good place to be with family..enjoy in house beach n activities

The place usually has a lot of foreign tourist since its location is very good. The beach is just a 5 mins walking distance and the cottage style rooms are neat but the restaurant is just ok, I felt it's a little over priced in terms what they had to offer. The staff is polite and apologises if any mistakes are made by them, the beach is very clean and is less crowded since it's not very well known.

Cidade de Goa mannnn this place must visit this beautiful property it was lavishing experience being there they have amazing view and amazing food if its possible then plan few days of stay there they have their own beach. Their hospitality was so so so good

This hotel is one of the finest places that we have stayed and the staff are a credit to the Taj group.

A place is made of the people within it and it is a testament to the professionalism and friendliness of the staff we interacted with daily, that we had such a great time.

The food was fabulous and we were treated to dishes from around India and Goan specialties every day. We so looked forward to mealtimes that our collective stomachs would start groaning hours in advance.

The chefs and waiting staff were all lovely and from the groundsmen to the front of house, we had pleasant interactions with all.

We will definitely be returning for a longer stay.

Beautiful beach facing property with a great view, some great service and extremely courteous staff( barring one or two).

The property is spacious and one the better known names in goa hotels, the rooms are neat, well maintained and spacious. The staff make sure that the guests arr comfortable and are always on toes to ensure that level of services are great

Food is good and the ambience super...must visit one atleast

Take the room with a swing in the balcony which leads to the beach side. Its seriously awesome.

Arrivel was smooth welcome drinks also good the thing is in the goa we take the cocum surbut served the harjinder room is good but room service boy was very helpfull the name of guy is sambhaji he is always smile on the face he has suggested the local tourist point and local things of the goa sambhaji has given information about the hotels for the local food for dinner time he was suggested alfama restaurant food was amazing sangeeta i dont know from which department she came for the asking our comfertable is well

I live in dona paula and cidade was a good hotel. However of late the clientele that it attracts is not representative of the grade of hotel and is well below par, i feel sad that the view is so nice, but the hotel experience is not. I swim with my wife and more often than not see people who do not behave in the manner that constitutes a "5star" especially in the pool where tourists dont behave in a manner that is safe for woman and any female who wants a comfortable environment to be in.which is very disconcerting changing in the pool area like its a public changing area and not following rules to showering and attire suitable for the pool area. This is very much a reflection of money over the standard being maintained. Will not be staying there or using my membership much longer regardless of it being associated to Taj hotels etc!

Love this place! You get everything in one place-pool, beach and a great view!

An excellent place to stay with sea facing rooms. One can listen to the sound of waves in peaceful environment. Rooms are spacious and clean. Overall one of the best places to stay in Goa

This resort is heaven for beach lovers. They have sea facing rooms and offers good services

The property location is very nice, make sure that you carry swimming dress for ladies... one of the pool staff is very rude... Otherwise the staff is very courteous, rooms and sea view are nice... very clean swimming pool.. the beach is clean but it is of black sand so you might not enjoy bathing in sea...they have kids room with 3 hours of free baby sitting till 6 pm...

Good resort and nice beach. The beach has unusually calm waves, enabling people to get into the sea much more inside. Beach is clean as well. Resort rooms have easy access to the beach.

Nothing to say else then WOW. Perfect Beach Resort. Super staff, best food in all restaurants. Private beach makes you more relax. Excellent water sports. Pool side bar is excellent. Want to go again n again.

Good property and exciting band every day, enchanting live music at the open bar everyday. Food was below average and service lousy at the bar. The bar tenders need to be more attentive at the bar and responsive to the needs of the guests..

Wonderful place , superb staff, yummy breakfast . Love to visit again n again. I have visited twice and both the times get super service.

The entire dinning experience was a delight. Great service and good food by the poolside.

The dine in place is not open by the Sea. Too expensive and not worth the money. The staff and service are but too good.

Shared the beach with my own hotel, the Sandalwood. Disappointed that the beachside bar would only serve residents

31st Night New year Celebration gratefully enjoying

Lazy , quiet , kicked back, serene. If your idea of Goa matches ours, avoid Cidade de Goa. A property characterised by great architecture and wonderful staff has been let down by going after the money in big Indian weddings. Our three days stay was like being a part of a bollywood movie with background music set to pretty much every genry of world music, fireworks , dholaks going off for no reason and your picture being taken by one of many wedding photographers as you come out of the beach/pool. Secondly the food doesn't live up to what you would expect from a Taj owned property.
The location and the staff kept us from walking away.

Amazing Place. If you want to relax throughout your stay. Beach is not really great. It's not green water like the other beaches up north or south. But secluded so you don't find cheap and dirty crowd here. Good options for Watersports. But no Shacks on the beach.
