Good resort with a private beach. Good facilities. Wholesome family resort

Bit aged property but overly priced

I along with my wife and 2 kids stayed there for 2 nights and 3 days. It was an awesome experience for all of us. All the staff was very courteous and also the pool and beach experience was really very nice. Although the weather was not that great but inside itself has lot of activities. While ordering in-room dining service a little confusion happened regarding food order but it was sorted out quickly.

The space is nicely done up but the desserts could be better.

Awesome location just next to the beach , well maintained property, excellent hospitality, smiling and caring staff.
We really enjoyed our stay.
We would particularly like to convey our thanks to Chef Pradyut at Cafe Azul and the smiling lady - Hlutei at Laranz who took extra care to ensure that we enjoyed our meals. Also a note of thanks to the gentleman - Gurudas who was in charge of our room and ensured that it was always neat and clean.
Over all every staff member was very helping always and took the extra step to ensure we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Look forward to again visiting in near future. Hope the unique charm of the property will be always maintained.

Great place, brilliant view and wonderful staff. Very warm and welcoming staff at the hotel, always at your service and helping you. Particularly Amreen from their staff who helped us with all our bookings and took us on a heritage tour of the vintage hotel. Cafe Azul is a place to be, their service, food and view is worth every penny. Divya from Cafe Azul was very helpful, warm and always greated us with a smile.

I would also like to add besides everything good,the room service staff went to an extra addition to the service by making our stay... extra special

It's a good hotel. But it's not at par with other taj hotels. Common washrooms not so clean as it should be (near banquet) or lobby area. I saw cockroach on salad counter and done complaint to chef about that. I don't know what action he take about that. But in 5star hotel cockroach on salad table is worst thing. That's not acceptable at all.

Must try coconut -milk shake.
Food is really taste.

5 star deluxe resort with all aminities. Beach Side resort and fantastic to laze around. Little bit expensive for those who wants to have a quick drink. Food taste is good. Service is excellent.

Was here before and at Christmas in 1995 and it was great!

Located 30 minutes from airport and good staff. The resort as such looks bit rusty and old. Rooms are spacious and food is ordinary. Nice pool and garden to sit and walk around but the beach is not clean, maybe because of monsoons. It's an okay resort to spend two days, not to expect anything extraordinary.

I stayed at Citade de Goa for 4 nights and my purpose of visit was work and vacation. While this was our first vacation ever with our 4 month old infant, we were very very apprehensive but we had a fantastic time at Citade.
The property is now under Taj and has fantastic rooms, great views from most parts of the resort and its indeed worth booking a sea facing room!
I must mention that the staff were very friendly and did everything under their control to keep us comfortable and happy, especially since we were traveling with our baby. They provided us with a baby cot even before we asked ( but they didn't have any stoller or pram, despite the fact that they had confirmed that they ll provide us one, when we called to confirm the booking 3 days prior to reaching Goa. But luckily we had our own stroller, since we had to travel further on)
I must mention that this is one of the oldest resorts of Goa, but provides modern amenities.
Special mentions - the assistance and service provided by Mr Soumalya (front desk, was very cooperative, cheerful and helpful, helped us with a room upgrade) and also Mr Raghunath. Mr Shailesh, Mr Akshay, Mr Vinayak, Ms Hlutei - all took very good care of us both with in house dining and room facilities - to the very word.
The breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets are exotic, more than anyone can ask for. Sous chef and Chefs Bhima, Debashish ( nice cheese dosa) and others whose names i didn't know did a great job indeed.
They have activities for families, kids throughout the day and a nice pool. The beach is just about 50 meters walk from most rooms. The view from the lobby balcony is amazing and theirs live music playing every evening. Value for money. Will definitely recommend and re visit this place.

Cons : phone calls to be handled better, esp clarity about availability of some facilities like baby stroller.
Hardly any rooms had bath tubs - which is something one is looking forward on a holiday.
The mattress of the room 119- was larger at the edge than the wooden support below so one has the risk of slipping and falling at the side. Plz check and repair.

Its a very nice resort. One of the most famous in Goa. An ideal place for vacation or to celebrate any family function. The scenic beauty of the sunset and the beach is just perfect.

Amazing food and amazing place to stay in. Best restaurants for vegetarians and best private beach in South Goa. Also when you go at the front desk, do ask for a sea side room as it is worth staying in and only given on demand!
The staff is very very helpful and there are celebrities coming in at all times :)

rooms are very big and have very good colors
the bathroom in the rooms are very clean and the best position
the hotel is very big and have a garden and two pools and also it has private sea
you can walk from your room to the sea every time you want
staff are very polite and they are working 24 hours every where
the place of the hotel is very good and you can take a taxi and go to Panaji city in about 15 minutes
also from Baga beach you are as far as 45 minutes
the place of the hotel is very calm
i suggest every body that wants to go to Goa live in this hotel

It was my 2nd stay in cidade.. the beach was really clean and food was awesome.. special thanks to subash and soyam who take special careofme during my stay and Suresh supervisor is also helpful

The property is too good for events and viewings. It has private beach is worth it to stay. Food is not that appealing, the one we had was poor in taste.

Very good service provided by subash and rushikesh. And it was my amazing stay in cidade de goa. . Subash always take care of us during our stay... hope to visit again

Visit to Cidade in October was my second...I have been to Cidade in the past too and as always the stay was great.. Initially I went to another hotel but after a day I realised that Cidade is always a better one.. Cidade in itself is Mini Goa... With beach, pool, games, restaurants, shops, cafe, sea view...I think everything is almost covered... The room service was great.. hospitality of the management was great.. They provide free pick and drop from the airport... You can also get the cabs with a fee for different routes... But overall I can keep on writing and won't get tired... Great stay...Happy Goa...

Great resort secluded location kind of private beach well maintained. Commuting is a challenge from the Hotel. One should take note can even if it is slightly expansive.

With a view of the sea it is one of the best hotel/resorts to be at. A wide range of cuisines along with live music and activities to do, the price is justified.

An extravagant hotel on the beach side . Extremely well looked after and worth staying!
