Incredible choice for South Indian lovers. Guests are welcome with a shared signage with that of Piccadilly Square. Both chutney company and Piccadily Square are owned by the same owners and have done pretty well in maintaining their name. The old buildings of Dalhousie houses both these amazing restaurants and see waiting time of more than 15-20 minutes in some cases. Parking is an issue as you cannot park on the main road. You have to go behind the governor's place and Park your vehicle there.
The seating space is Lavish with wooden flooring and ornate decors across the walls. Service is wonderful as there will be many people surrounding you to serve you.
Food: welcome to the world of chutneys. The amazing palette of chutneys will greet you. They have garlic chutney, tomato, spicy coconut, onion and the like. The dosas are savoury and can be had with the Rava version, or the normal version. Thanks to Piccadilly Square we can have waffles, pancakes, Pizzas, crepes, burgers etc. I chose the focaccia sandwich where you can custom make your sandwich just like Subway. The pancakes are bliss. The waffles and donuts, especially the chocolate ones are amazing. Although the hazelnut Donuts was a bit dry, but the pancakes were superb.
The mexican burger was also very good. Coming to the shakes, the banana caramel shake stole the show. We also had chocolate hazelnut shake as well, which was pretty well upto the mark. We signed off with signature filter coffee and wow what a coffee.
All in all we had a great Experience At The chutney company. Great food. Great decor. What else do you want!!
Good ambience, good food, not much rush in lunchtime
It was awesome and we really enjoyed having the tasty food thank you
One of my favourite place coz here u will not found south indian but it's a hub of taste and yummy food
Nice authentic southindian food good service and great ambience.... But the variety of dosa is sooogreat that it can beat the best of dosa in TN or Bangalore,,
Muligapodi idli, Guntur Karam Dosa and Filter coffee are my favorites at this place.
It is South Indian and vegetarian restaurant near Dalhousie area and it is well known restaurant. Many types of dosa idli dishes made here it is one of the reputed restaurant near Dalhousie and food sir very delicious and every plate of food present very well and behaviour of hotel owner and boys free soft and deliver food timely.
Best South Indian food I've had in a while. The service, the quality and the variety everything is just top class.
Great place for quick bites, Italian delicacies and good south indian as well!
Also, do try the variety of chutneys this place offers!
Must try:
1. Mysore Idly
2. Caesar Salad
3. Salad Bowl
4. Waffles
5. Pastries
6. Ice Creams
This place is in Dalhousie area. Just near to lalit great eastern hotel. The food here is simply awesome. Pure veg restaurant and undoubtedly it justifies its name. Chutney here are amazing. A must visit for food.
Generally crowded during lunch hours so better reserve table in advance.
Good south indian food with lots of varieties of chutney.
A must try in their menu is Popoey's peck. They have great variety of Chutneys and this place is the best in city to have South Indian food. Though I won't recommend having Rasam here because it doesn't taste that good. Its a family restaurant and the ambience is really calm. In total its a great place to visit.
Having visited the place quite a number of times now, I can definitely say that if you are looking for Dosas to savour then this is exactly the place where you should step in.
A wide variety of dosas along with other savouries are served by this Place and the King is the Chutneys that the place offers. In alliance with Piccadily Square, you can also dig into amongst the most mouth watering dishes, rather I would say, DESSERTS. Pancakes, waffles, pastries, donuts, handmade chocs, they have whatever your sweet tooth could crave for. You can even cherish the taste of pastas and pizzas (Do not order cheese mushroom sandwich). Order whatever you feel like but dont forget to dig into the dosas.
Great place with great food. Italian and South indian cuisine available here.
Amazing for South Indian cuisine. Loved how it offers various types of dosas!
Never order single origin hot chocolate..taste like plain milk.
Awesome 8 types of chutney.
Thin crust pizza was mouthwatering
As the name says it provide different variety of cutney with southindian around 10 types of chutney
The Chutney Co. is a really nice restaurant for South Indian delight which is also pocket friendly. They also serve Italian, however I only tried South Indian and I loved it. Highly recommended.
Poor service above average food and big queues on weekends
9 chutney given for dosa but price is Rs. 160 per dosa
Nice option to have South Indian food with variety of chutney offer by the restaurant. You can order variety of desert in the menu of Piccadilly Square it's other name. There is no dedicated parking available and in the weekend you have to park you car in the nearby bylanes. The restaurant situated on the 1st Floor and waiting area is very small. It is also popular in office goers in the vicinity for their lunch.
Easily the best South Indian joint of Calcutta. They serve 8 delicious variants of chutney along with dosa
The worst experiences ever....the staffs r too arrogant.
Fantastic South Indian food joint
Centrally located
Loved the food
Specially Big Size idly.
Food was good. Noisy atmosphere - not suitable for business lunches. Washroom did not have water. I had to use my bottle water to wash my hands.
Personally. Its among mah fav. Combination of chutney and co with piccadly square. Wherein you can try the best of south indian menu along with some frappes, pan cakes, waffles.
The speciality of the restaurant is that they have some 9 varieties of chutneys out of which one can select 3 with a dish(dosa, idly...).
They share there space with Piccadilly square.
A decent restaurant with good south indian food.
I love this chutney co outlet in BBD Bagh, they have picadilly square as well. Both working together so if you crave desserts you have it right there. With amazing pizza and a variety of chutneys this is perfect for a your cravings
Excellent South Indian food accompanied by an array of very interesting chutneys
