What a fun experience!
A nice variety of retail shops, galleries and restaurants overlooking Lake Champlain.
It's often very busy, especially when the weather is nice. There are quite a few places to eat wonderful food but it can get pricey! I like most of the shops but wish there was more of a variety of children's clothing stores.
Beautiful place with great stores, and restaurant. The vibe is very cool :)
A little shopping street of about two to three blocks.
Nice little walking mall with a few interesting shops. Interesting latitude exhibit on the walking path for nerds!
A great Burlington place. Stores, culture, art, a bit of everything. Don't miss it.
Wonderful atmosphere all year for shopping and strolling.
Great place to visit, get great food and child friendly!
Awesome little 4 block strip of brick pedestrian walkway with many local shops, restaurants and bars as well as street performers and buskers and a healthy dose of arts and diversity among the people present. A very pretty and picturesque place to visit year round, especially in the autumn.
When the sun comes out, this place becomes fireeeee!!
A nice day to wander between shops and restaurants for a drink on the sunny terraces! There are musicians everywhere on the pedestrian artery! It is very close to the water, we took a drink directly on the dock to enjoy this beautiful summer day!
So much to see. So many local shops and local restaurants! Buy local!
Great shops, restaurants, coffee, sculpture, flowers
The shops and restaurants are awesome, but downtown is SEVERELY LACKING in parking and publicly available restrooms. They're spending $5 Million on renovating City Hall Park, but aren't including public restrooms. Idk who makes these choices, but it's obviously someone who doesn't actually visit downtown Burlington.
Great variety of stores and restaurants. Lake Champlain chocolates and Ben & Jerry's are my favorites
Really nice place in Burlington to enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon. I should be visiting there again.
Plenty of restaurants and bars on the lower end, but retailers are note becoming high end and forcing local store to compete and at note pricier. It's about four blocks and you can visit every store in an afternoon.
Alot of great shops and a ton of good places to eat. Anything from pizza to fancy restaurants and everything in between. Ton of homeless ppl who at times can aggressively beg. There doesnt seem to be much being done about it either. If church st. Retutrned to the way it was 10 or more years ago it would easily be 5 stars. Not to spook potential visitors as its not that bad ! Just something to keep in mind. Be vigilant and you will def enjoy yourself !
A great spot to experience everything that is Burlington!!!
Church Street Marketplace is a quaint stretch of street in downtown Burlington that is closed off to traffic. Vendors and performers set up along the street, and was really worth the visit!
A must! Go to! I need my Cherry Garcia! Yum!! I also love sitting in the van! ---
So much fun to stroll thru. Deli sandwiches very yummy.
Church Street Marketplace have stores and shops that mostly appeals to the younger generation nowadays and they're generally not my style. However, there are decent bars and restaurants on every block that you can stop in to grab a drink, a bite or spend time with family and friends. Sometimes entertainers would end up performing along the street. The city police is always monitoring Church Street Marketplace day and night for the safety of shoppers and patrons. Parking within the Church Street Marketplace and the downtown core can be a nuisance. It may be best to take public transportation if you are heading to downtown Burlington.
3-4 blocks that are blocked off for pedestrian traffic, parking near by, bars and restaurants, a some nice shops..
A must visit in Burlington with lots of unique shops and innovative restaurants.
There's a lot to see and do here with events popping up all the time and plenty of shops and eateries.
Nice little shanty town feel , lively place , live music .Close to water , lots of food options.Worth a visit.Check out the restaurant The Farmhouse.Amazing selection of beers and food is fresh and unique.
This whole area is awesome, all year round. There are some really great spots like Dobra Tea and some great street performers, too!
A local suggested this place when we asked where we could get a great sandwich for a waterfront lunch, and the Church Street Market didn't disappoint! We sat out on the porch with a full view of the water and my crab cake sandwich was excellent! Oh, and they also had four-packs of a hard-to-find Vermont beer called Heady Topper, made by Alchemist Brewery. We loved it!
Such a peaceful and joyful place to walk down and at the end the reward is quite elegant
Quintessential Vermont. Beautiful any time of year.
Too much construction not a lot of stores at the moment.
Great place for shopping and lunch. Lots of local stores
Burlington Vermont at its finest spot. During the day vendors and street shops at night it s about dining and music.
Vibrant area with an array of nice (if a bit pricey) shops. A good place to grab a bite, do some mindless shopping, and people-watch.
The marketplace is a boutique pedestrian mall with outrageous prices, but as long as you know that it can be a genuinely great place to visit and enjoy.
I love Burlington and live on Church St ; downtown is great I just wish we had a properly run co-op for a supermarket not that abomination shi**y market.
Lots of things going on there including transients begging for money and drunk.
Not much parking during events. Had to park very far away with a baby and walk in the freezing cold.
We are from out-of-town and went to the Church Street Market over the recommendations of other places that were more expensive than we wished for. I thought it would likely be run-of-the-mill "bar food", but we were pleasantly surprised -- the quality of the food (soups, salad, sides, and entrees,) was quite good. The service was excellent. The ambience of the outdoor eating area was nice.
Generally avoid the place if I can. Expensive to park and panhandlers and homeless folks are everywhere. Saw one guy expose himself to a woman and the police did nothing because they did not see it themselves.
