Lively, diverse, good food, and good shopping. A must for any trip to Burlington.
So much to see & enjoy. Take your time, it's a great spot. Food, people, & stores are great.
Church Street is one of the quintessential Burlington experiences. A wide variety of stores and restaurants line the pedestrian walkway, including a local favorite Outdoor Gear Exchange, the place to go for outfitting.
Business level depends on time. Summertime Saturday afternoons are generally quite busy, whereas a winter evening much less so.
If you're in town, pop by for a walk through.
Free parking is available in the city garage.
The Heart of Vermonts biggest Cities Home to Commerce and Local and Great resutrants Night Life in Beatiful downtown Burlington
A great place to get the full atmosphere of Burlington. Shops, food, live music, very kid friendly.
This pains me because I grew up on Church Street but my goodness whoever told them that more lights were the answer needs to actually see the effect. It's way too much...what's next, giant twirling spots? And although I'm not sure what the answer is, I'm pretty sure that more Starbucks, CVS, 5 guys and such isn't going to help in the long run. I'm saddened in some ways by the direction it's going...more, bigger, more, bigger, more...that's not what made it great to begin with.
Wonderful downtown area. Great food and music. I have seen many changes here from the late 50's and I think it is at its best right now!
I imagined better. Beautiful and bright street. Reasonable stores!
Just love this place for shopping and great restaurants to eat at.
What a beautiful place, I will come back with the kids.
First time going to the Marigras. Looking forward for next year !!
Cute little shopping district in downtown Burlington!
Was nice to walk around, listen to the street musicians.
Beautiful street, pretty lights, peaceful place with great scenic beauty
A lot of stuff to do with significant others or with kids
You'll see talented musicians busking, street performers, food carts (some make crepes?! Lol) ...wonderful festive atmosphere, a true melting pot as you will hear various languages being spoken as people pass by. Loved it
It's the heart of Burlington: the best place to start exploring the city. Plenty of restaurants and shopping and night life to choose from.
Lunch at the Farmhouse in the beer garden. Delicious food as always. Do nice to have them open again!
Lovely place, with lots of choice, but music very loud in some places
I visited during a conference on a weekday. It was relaxing, the shops had a little of everything. There was vintage, modern art, homemade jams, etc. There were many places to eat, some with outdoor seating. I enjoyed the leisurely walk, cool breeze and comfortable benches. Must go again.
Entertaining and fun.
A great place to spend a lazy day with friends & family.
After been up and down a few times it is not as fun.
Great shopping, places to eat, side walk vendors, outdoor entertainment.
Always a pleasure to be on historical Church Street
Beautiful market and wonderful produce and snacks. I recommend the breakfast gorditas.
The winter holiday lights are up. The place looks pretty magical. Fun place to spend an afternoon, shopping, people watching, eating good food and drinking coffee.
nice family friendly place to visit. tends to be a bit dirty. nice social place to eat with friends
A nice place to go, with horrible traffic free of charge...not as authentic as other "marketplaces" with big box stores mixed in.
It's worth taking a stroll down here. Lots of shops, within walking distance to Battery Park, and lots of options to eat. Most of the local hotels have a free shuttle to & from. Since this is a college town, you get the college town feel with lots of students commuting from one place to another. Overall a neat area; stop by the Farmers Market if you happen to be here over the weekend.
I mean...I'm not so sure I like Burlington that much. Vermont is amazing but the "big city" is kind of a bad mishmash of frat bros, Boston sports fans, and more traffic than is warranted for a town this size.
Love Church Street. They have just about anything you're looking for. Great restaurants, small boutiques, and salons...
Great fun...
Always lit up and beautiful to walk through. In the winter all of the string lights and holiday decorations inspires images of wonder. Durring the summer the fantastic smells from the restaurants waft through the air as you pass by outdoor eating, street performances, and food carts. It's one of the many reasons my Partner and I love Burlington!
First time in Burlington, VT and Church St Marketplace was a cute mix of boutiques and other little shops. People were out eating and with their dogs. I stopped at my first ever brick and mortar Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream store.
Love this place. Great place to walk, eat, shop. Small park with fountain. Always sidewalk entertainment. Great for dates at night.
Lots of panhandling.
Mostly a bar district for nightlife.
Such a wonderful place aside from seeing homeless people gathering and sleeping on the sidewalk, feel bad for them though.
Always fun to people watch while you enjoy many of the great eateries and shops
A nice pedestrian street with various shops. The shopping street of the small town of Burlington.
A throw back to the calmer, more local street level stores and local shops of our dreams. No traffic, all walking street lined with mostly local businesses and carpeted with street performers (in summer). Definitely worth visiting if you find yourself in Burlington and are look for something to do or something to eat or drink! Highly recommended.
The worse thing they ever did was paint over that beautiful historic wall of Vermont figures! It's sad our leaders are so weak!
Pleasant place with many options. Whether you're looking to buy something, grab food or walk around and enjoy the scenery, this is the place to go.
One of my favorite places to be when I m in Burlington.
Great food and drinks, I had the John Daly that was great drink. Service is great to.
Cute and magical street full of great bars. Nice atmosphere.
Pedestrian traffic only for several blocks with many places to eat and many shops
Great place in Burlington for a day of shopping and dinner, then on to entertainment with some great venues for that as well-lovely place to spend the weekend!
One of the best places to on a beautiful Vermont afternoon.
Overall a VT treasure. For daily spending it's a bit expensive because of the real estate, but a grreat place to shop, eat and enjoy people
Lovely Victorian walking mall. Too much corporate intervention coming in. Losing character slowly.
Expected it to be bigger and nicer for a tourist attraction
Great place to shop some places are priced a tad bit high, but others are low prices
The heart of Burlington. Gaku Ramen is worth the trip.
