Church's Chicken Review

They are always getting my order out in a timely manner. The customer service is good too. The only thing i have to say is almost everytime i order fries they give me old ones like they're crusty and not fresh at all. The same with their boneless wings. So i recommend asking for fried items to be fried fresh. It's worth the wait, trust me.

Pulled up to the drive thru at 930, automated message that they are closed. Says on here that they close at 10. Just the latest of issues with this particular store. Worth driving a little farther to get to an establishment that values their customers.

Great family meal deals from Church's Chicken. This particular store is always super clean and the staff is very friendly. The food is always fresh and the jalapeno peppers are amazing.

One of the worst drive thru experiences I ve had in a very long time. I was literally left waiting by the speaker to place an order for at least 15 minutes even though I had just heard the attendant speak to the car in front of me only moments before I had pulled up. There were signs posted everywhere that they were only accepting cash and I already had cash available. Not once did anyone come on the line saying please bear with me or I ll be right with you. It s close to home but safe to say I won t be returning ever again. There were only two cars in front of me.

Forgot items and don't answer when calling to inform them of their mistakes.

It's church's, they do chicken, chicken is good for being cheap, but it's still cheaper fast food, why are you reading this? Do you expect something else lol

Ok, so you place the order, make sure you have them repeat it! They must have the buttons on the register miss aligned! Double check your order before you drive off (they always tell you to park)!! Oh don't hesitate to demand refund your time is worth more!!!

They suck. I have been going there for a long time. I am military and have been getting military discount. I show my idea and have never been questioned. I am a frequent customer. So. I was in there yesterday 3-1-17 and went inside and showed my ID. The manager asked if I was active duty. When I showed him the ID it did not indicate Active Duty. I don't know if there are issuing new cards through DOD but my is still good and was issued 3 or 4 yrs ago. but just because it did not indicate active duty he denied the discount to me. I go mcdonalds, Las Palapas, everywhere else and never get that. For a manager he was a jerk. I wont go back there now. I have called corporate and made a complaint.

Bland tasting food esp the corn & the place needs cleaning

Good fried chicken as I remember from 30 years ago. Sides-not so much. Counter lady was very nice and quick with my order. Will return for the chicken.

I know they had issues after opening, but they are always willing to accommodate special orders.

I love fried chicken and I usually make orders that are like $50
I've had to wait up to an hour and 30 minutes for an order and seen people that had bigger orders get them first,

Last time there was a fish/shrimp special and the guy tried to sell me the fish instead and had to pay over $100 for it, asked for a refund and everyone got mad because they'll guy at the register didn't do his work right...

I used to work here. I got fired for not doing enough, but i pretty much carried he place the first day it was open. No one does their job. The employee are ass, The manager is ass, and nooners shouldn't have to be next to this place

Long wait, non of the employees acknowledge you as you re waiting hi sorry about the wait we ll be with you shortly nope!! And take my word with out looking at me or smiling. This place needs to have a re-evaluation done along with training.
Definitely not coming back.

Scamming off prices and not giving what we paid for is the wrong move .... very disappointing service !

The food was ok, but it seems every time they forget something from my order.

Chicken was horrible. Tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp all day long. French fries were hard and cold to the touch. Yuck! Never going back again! Stay away from this place.

What a horrible product....I was looking forward to getting this smokehouse Chicken meal but was disappointed especially when I realized that store puts it in the fryer.....Also that the chicken is smaller than a Cornish hen.....I usually don't eat your chicken especially when its more batter than chicken, so when I saw the commercial I was hopeful....But of course you disappointed me whats new.

This place sucks! Food is always nasty and not fresh! Chicken chicken strips were just ugh. Never again!

This is the last time I go there. Always a long wait through the drive through and they have messed up my order every time. Not recommended. Little Caesar s or Sonic is around the corner....

A employee named Jesse is rude, and very unprofessional. He flat out has zero manners or speaking skills. Sadly this is the only near by churches, guess I'll drive the extra way to go to another location so I can be treated like a human.

Chicken was burnt and tastes like burnt oil. I just dropped off the order when I came back to get a piece everybody was wondering why I paid for burnt chicken I should have returned it but everybody was hungry so they ain't it.

Always closing early went on a Friday and closed at 9:25 they do this all the time!!

I'm from Florida, and when I tried this chicken and gravy, I ran 992 miles back home to slap my mama. 5 stars, give me more pls

Chicken was cold and they forgot the fries with my takeout order. Not impressed with their chicken at all

Horrible experience. We got them through Grubhub and they forgot to put something of our order in the bag, when we called they said to take it up with Grubhub. They aren t the ones who packaged our food! Idiots!

They never have chicken ready. Stopped by at 8pm and they were out, this is the 4th time this has happened and they were all at different times of the day. What kind of chicken restaurant runs out of chicken? Obviously this sad place! Never buying church's chicken again!

Sucks. Too slow. Waited in line for 20 minutes finally went somewhere else. Get more and faster workers during lunch rush hour.

They USED to have really nice employees here. Tonight we had an extremely rude girl while ordering through driveway. Instead of carrying through with our order we went next door to sonic and got far better service. Perhaps they should remove her from drive thru and give her a position where she doesn t have to interact with people... bathroom duty sounds like a suitable job for her.

If I was the health department I would have had red flags came in on a Sunday at 3 watching the Dallas Cowboys win I go get chicken floor countertops and that dude that was doing the chicken OMG cross-contamination

Food was hot and fresh. The employees were awesome, friendly and went above and beyond. This was the best experience i have had at a Church's and that is saying a lot

This was the worst meal. They made me wait so they could make my food fresh, but when I got home and opened the bag the fries were under cooked and the bread to my sandwich was hard as a rock and not edible!!! Will not go back

Staff is nice the food is okay is fast. Most of the time there's not much of a wait.

The wait was about 30 minutes and customers were going inside to complain not the first time it happens maybe need better workers and management..very disappointed.

Hubby and I always receive great service. Friendly and professional employees. Some tables are not clean right away when the place is full and they are taking and servicing clients at the counter. Some people leave all their junk on their table and on the floor when the trash container is by the exit door as you leave the place. You see them running to clean as soon as they have time. Love the place, food and employees.

The best churches. Everything is fresh. The employees are fast, and friendly. They greet you with a smile. The front is always clean. The food is so delicious, and no matter how complicated an order, the staff does their very best to comply. I invite anyone to try this church's. I'd give them 50 stars if I could.

Poor bad service need to hire ppl who can take orders correctly this location is closer to my home unfortunately I won t be going back also please get managers who actually care about the customers

I've been to many churches fried chicken's throughout San Antonio but this Church's fried Chicken served me an eight-piece meal with old chicken one of the pieces wasn't even original as I had requested all the pieces were old I thought I had lost my receipt so I didn't bother trying to go back since I live quite a ways from this location I was in the area visiting my daughter the next morning I found the receipt between my seats I called back and they said for me to take them to chicken which was already in the trash at that point and they were very disrespectful on top of that. I do not recommend this place as they will serve you fried chicken that tastes like it was sitting I nnthe warmer for way way to long. Btw the manager John said they were I nder new ownership and that apparently they don't care to lose customers. I will never go there ever.

Rude staff!!!!! Under staffed!!!!! There always seems to be an issue with this location you will be better off driving a little further to another location. Love churches chicken but avoid these location at all costs.

The service was horrible. I believe I was there for about 40 mins maybe more. So unorganized and chicken wasn't even all that Great

Very good experience tonight. We were asked if we wouldn't mind waiting 20 min for the chicken, because they didn't have any up yet. We said sure and while we were waiting this young man was so sweet and offered us drinks because we were waiting. We ordered 2 Grande Family Meals and everything was complete. Nothing was missing from the order or incorrect.

I'm not sure who served us tonight at the window but he was super friendly and happy to be at work.

Ordered via drive they at 638pm, we were told spicy chicken would take 15 to 20 minutes and asked to park in front. It s 705pm and we are still sitting in the car waiting. My husband had to go in to see what was taking so long. Were we forgotten? Smh

Always forgets food and gives you attitude when you check your order in store and tell them it's wrongs. Employees try to talk in Spanish to talk about the customer but they need to know they aren't the only ones that talk Spanish. Horrible place!

This place has to be the WORST!! Their food is always cold and if you order more than a 5 piece, be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes. Horrible!

Food was great, hot and affordable. Even got an extra fry for free. Perhaps it is because of the construction on potranco but they have really stepped up their game. I generally come here once every two to three months when work takes me to this area. Drive through is a tad slow so I always come inside. Will be back in two to three months!

Been here 5 times. Each time I am told the wait time for spicy is 20+ minutes. Only thing available is dark meat non spicy. Coincidence? Maybe but very dissapointed on this location .

This time I chose not to wait the 20 minutes and went elsewhere
