The place believed to be where Jesus preached wonderful messages!

Happiness Mountain A nice little church. A place for peace and quiet

Lots of tourists so go as early as possible. Mass need to be pre-booked. Beautiful gardens and views. Difficult to find a quiet spot.

I cannot comment on the church because it arrives when it has already closed, but being on that sacred mountain was enough for us and a reinforcement for our faith.

Reminder of the Missions in California. More significant is the Historical association with Jesus.

Place that I will definitely visit again. Holy Land.

The place where Jesus gave his disciples the recipe for happiness.

Special place.
But the church charges to visit the biblical sites. I do not agree with that.
Take advantage of people's faith.

Symbolic place on the Mount where Jesus pronounced the Sermon of the Mountain. Serenity and beauty

Blessed are .... In this place you touch the rocks, admire the landscape and hear the words of Jesus. Blessed are ... A mountain of blessings, with a magnificent temple designed by Antonio Barluzzi, built on an octagonal plan. There is a lot of greenery around, paths with plaques containing Latin sentences from the Sermon on the Mount. Fantastic panorama of the Sea of Galilee. A great place to walk and contemplate.

Reading the Beatitude stones where the sermon was preached was amazing.

The church was built on a site where, according to Christian tradition, Jesus carried the 8-sentence Mass, all beginning with the word "blessed." Beautiful quiet place near the lake of Tiberias (Galilee). The Sermon on the Mount of Jesus may have taken place here. Definitely worth a look and walk through the gardens. Beautiful views.

The gardens are beautifully maintained. I could not enter the temple structure due to lack of time.

A place worth spending some time on for a longer walk through a beautiful garden. Nature's diversity of colors delights. A moment of silence and reverie. There are many places to visit, it is one of them.

Sea of Galilee, greeny area gives best view to the area as well to the church. Simple church with nice architecture and environment gives lovely view to the eyes and camera too.

The view at the top you can see the sea of Galilee was incredible. It's a short walk from the bus and there is a gorgeous rose garden. The church is beautiful but just for tourists.

Mount of Beatitudes - is a hill on the north shore of Lake Gennesaret, on which Jesus taught and gave the Eight Beatitudes.
In 1935, ruins of the chapel with mosaics from the 4th to 6th centuries were discovered around the Mount of Beatitudes.
In 1937, an octagonal church commemorating Jesus' blessing was built in the photograph. John Paul II visited this place in March 2000. The meeting with John Paul II gathered about 100,000 people and was the largest gathering of Christians in this place since the time of Christ.

5 shekels per person to enter, beautiful gardens around the Monastery, and a great view of the Sea of Galilee. We enjoyed this more than Magdala and a few other stops around the Sea.

The church that was built in the place that is believed to have been the Sermon on the Mount or the Beatitudes, is very beautiful and was designed to respect and take advantage of the great view and proximity to the Sea of Galilee. Being there and remember the words of Jesus, you get goosebumps
