Christies Care Ltd Review

Please be aware of how they take advantage of South African women. I would recommend every South African women to find a different care agency.

As a former worker l can recomend them. I worked as a self-employed carer and l must say l have never been out of work longer than 1-2 weeks. They have excellent communication with the carers, they will reach you on the phone if you are in the UK or outside. The application process is quick, they deal smoothly with references, they are efficient. They have great support as well. If you need work, they will give you work. And the pay is every week. Of course they are not perfect but beware of those who say their agency is the best.lf anyone needs more details feel free to contact me through my google account.

Absolutely disgusted, they will twist everything you do or say in their favour.

My journey with Christies Care has been wonderful. I did the two week training course at Christies Care in January 2020 which gave me such a good understanding of my role as a carer as they literally left no stone unturned as far as the training is concerned. After my two weeks training I felt confident to take on my fist assignment as a carer and I have never looked back. The support I receive from Christie s care is outstanding and the fact that they are exceptionally well organized in all aspects is qualities that I appreciate so much as ultimately it helps me in my day to day functions as a carer and helps me to perform my tasks as a carer to the best of my ability.

I cannot recommend Christie s Care enough.

Christies provided care for my ex father in law for 5 years after suffering from a stroke, cant praise them enough for the care he received.

I really just wanted to say I appreciate my team support. Even though they're both going through a difficult time like everyone else right now, I always get such speedy responses and still get check-ins from them and it is really appreciated. I hope everyone in the team is as rock solid as my team ladies are.

Been a Christies Carer for a while now and have loved every minute. Outstanding training really gave me the skills, knowledge and practical experience to make a difference. My Green support team are always there for me, constantly check in with me, I genuinely feel supported! Granted sometimes I travel further that what I would ideally want to do but rather be offered work than not if I restrict myself.

Great pay, great training but would like to progress further than my current role

CC provide care for a family member with LD and complex needs. It means we have gone back to being family and not carers, and CF is living the life he loves safely in his own home.

Christies Care looked after both of my grandmothers. Both of them would have hated a care home. Having carers meant that they both stayed at home right until the end.

A wonderful service! Christies Care ensured my grandmother was happy, safe and well cared for. I recommend this company whole-heartedly!

Terrible attitude from Christies staff when a carer caused hundreds of pounds worth of damage to our family home. We were told it's tough and that my sick father has to claim it from his own home insurance to pay for the repairs. Not even an apology.

Carers regularly complain behind your back that they don't get enough breaks when the company state that they are only entitled to 14 hours per week and to be fully flexible around the family.

Carers show lack of initiative and are happy to sit in the bedroom or play on their phones while my father is asleep during the daytime, this time could better be used cleaning, dusting , ironing, preparing food. It's ironic that they then still complain about the lack of breaks considering the amount of 'downtime' they take

One carer they sent was smoking cannabis in our front room when I wasn't there. He also failed to spot my Father had a serious water infection and also took him to the cafe in the pouring rain without his waterproof coat on. He's a very sick man by the way. Safe to say we asked for an immediate replacement.

The latest carer was okay on his first placement but on his second placement he was terrible. He forgot to give my father an important alendronic acid tablet on the Saturday morning, he left mouldy food in the fridge for days that had turned green (I still have the pictures on my phone) and contaminated the other food costing us money to replace. He was incapable of using the hoist and sling properly, my father now has a bad neck due to being placed sideways in the sling instead of upright. Most importantly, what my father craved the most was a companion and somebody to keep him company. The carer was disinterested, always on his phone and huffed and puffed anytime he was asked to perform a duty that required a bit of effort.

This review is no personal vendetta against Christies. I hope someone reads this and they either train their staff better or have a way to siphon out the people that choose to do this job for a fast buck and have no real interest in being a good carer.

While my father is alive I will always demand he receives the highest quality of care, I'm not one of those kids that will ship him off to an old people's home to get abused and forgotten about

Christies Care really understood my whole family s concerns over getting the best care possible for my grandmother. They provided us with highly trained carers who helped her spend her last few months in comfort and with dignity.
Everyone from the staff on the end of the phone to the carers themselves was professional, polite and sensitive both to my grandmother and to the wider family. They made a difficult time easier.
We highly recommend using their services.

Initial training might be good, but everything else about this company is a badly run mess. Support is horrific, upper management is run by zombies and their policies and procedures are more likely to harm a carer than actually support them.

I have been working for Christies care for 5 years now and my experience as been great so far.
The support team is amazing They always listen to you and treat you as an individual. All the staff are very friendly, helpful and professional.

Christie s Care is a fantastic company that takes the utmost care of both it s clients as well as it s employees! Would definitely recommend!

Christies Care were absolutely wonderful. I went to them for emergency care for my father when he came out of hospital. At a very stressful time for the family, they were kind, understanding, answered my many questions happily and speedily met our needs. Within 24 hours, the right care had been put in place and my father was able to come home. Their carers have been really lovely and, most importantly, my father has liked them and found them professional but also easy to have around and good company. I highly recommend Christies Care and would not hesitate to use them again.

Fantastic training! Worked for Christies for under a year but learned so much and it helped me get the job I have now. Cant fault Christies other than the fact I had the odd week without work hence the 4 stars
