One of the oldest and grandest collegiate in the english speaking world. The architecture of this place is breathtaking and divine. No words could possibly describe the feeling you have upon visiting this place for the first time.

I really love visiting this college I have been here a few times. The hall is my favorite part of the visit. The stair leading up to the hall was used in the Harry Potter movies and the hall was the bases of the dinning hall in the movies which was recreated in a studio.

The stain glass windows are really nice and you should keep an eye out for Alice and all the other Alice in wonderland characters in the stain glass.

I would say that visiting Christchurch college and the hall should be on the top of your list when visiting Oxford.

The view was amazing. The Great Hall also located in this area *Free entrance if you come with an Oxford Student :)
The old fashioned building makes its look so historical and you'll never be bored, just getting around. Instead of visiting at night, better to catch the view on the day. As I don't want to feel creepy because I hate dark in the night.

It is a church with a very beautiful architecture and historical importance. The museum opened at 2 o'clock when we visited on Sunday. Despite the rain in front of the church, there was a very long queue. The entrance fee is 8 pounds. It is a place that can be visited in half an hour in total. Its garden and inner courtyard are worth seeing. You can walk from the inner garden of the church to the botanical garden of the Oxford University.

If your a potter head, it's a place for you. Even if you are not you'll appreciate the beautiful architecture.
The staircase where everyone gathers before they enter the great hall for sorting is here. However the great hall isn't the same, but they took inspiration from this to make the set.

P.s don't forget to carry your wand and your gryffindor scarf.

The college itself is quite a tourist attraction and can be quite pricey to enter if you're not a member of the university. The chapel is very beautiful with it's stained glass windows and historic elements. Additionally, the stairwells leading to the dining hall as well as the dining hall itself have contributed to the production of the Harry Potter movies.

A very impressive building and grounds a good choice to visit if you have kids.

The Grand Hall was open during our visit and it was a highlight of the tour. The admission price was on par for the experience.

I hav been living in Oxford for ages but still, never actually been in Christ Church college. Visited the park numerous times but never in the building. It was a mistake.

As this is actually part of Oxford University and it is a working school you cannot walk in whenever you want to. Mainly the afternoons and / or the weekends are available.
You do not need to book, just turn up.

The whole college is beautiful, the buildings are lovely, the church is amazing and of course the hall, the must see, from Harry Potter

You can join a tour but it is not necessary, you can do the whole college in your own pace in a couple of hours.

This seems to be the grandest and most visited of the Oxford colleges, with an entry fee to match. Everything seems to be on a scale to inspire awe.

For Harry Potter fans, this is a must - see, and the Hall feels as though it comes straight out of Hogwort's. Of course, the academic legacy of this college is very real, however.

If you are looking for an intimate experience, then skip this one, but otherwise it is worth a visit.

I can t even begin to describe the beauty that is Christ Church in Oxford. On my first trip to England (coming from America), I did not believe this gorgeous cathedral was real! And even though I ve been living in Oxford for about 4 years now, I am still amazed every time I set eyes on it.

The inside is just as stunning as the outside, and it s even more exciting if you like/love Harry Potter as well - seeing the special staircase, walking through the Great Hall, and just admiring every bit of history and beauty at Christ Church.

The meadow outside is beautiful as well and the perfect place for an Oxford picnic. The admission prices are very reasonable, and they also offer student / senior / child discount as well.

I would recommend a visit (or multiple visits) to Christ Church to any and everyone!

Whether you are a fan of Harry Potter, Alice in Wonderland or just architecture this place is for you. It was here that Lewis carrol first met his Alice in the guise of the
Daughter of the dean of the university. It is here that you will relive magical scenes from the Harry Potter saga ... the large reception room, the staircase or the cloister ... so many incredible places that will make you feel a little Gryffindor .. . the shop is top notch with many items from both potter and alice.

Harry Potter fans flock here to see the Hogwarts sights but keep in mind that besides the staircase, the dining hall is not the same actual hall film site.

Christchurch gets a lot of visitors so make sure to arrive on time before they draw a line in queue outside at about 4pm as last entry is 4.15pm.

I happen to run Harry Potter Oxford tours and so I visit Christchurch often. I wish they would join the digital age and permit me to buy tickets online in advance, so I don't have to waste my and my clients' time waiting in the queues to get in.

Majestic and grandiose. All classical English education transpires in this building. The tour is actually a bit expensive compared to the content. But take your time and enjoy the calm of the cloister for example. A must also visit the gardens and park of the college. Sumptuous!

Not worth it!!! Students pay 7 pounds. You only see the small food hall which is overcrowded, the chapel which is under construction and a few stairs. Probably 90% of the college is restricted to members. The staff is partly very rude and they want you to go out as soon as possible

Beautiful campus and well worth the price of admission. The self guided tour takes about 45 minutes and includes a visit to several of the sites that inspired scenes from Harry Potter including the Great Hall and the back stairwell.

Extraordinary place. It is amazing to think how many extraordinary and imaginative minds dined in the Great Hall. There s nobody of that stature there today. Boris Johnson is an example of a recent clown. I wonder if some of those Potter fans wandering around will later regret not paying attention to the portraits on the wall. It s not the same to realize many years later that you could have appreciated the place more had you known.

I was not a huge fan of Harry Potter but this beautiful hall of Christ Church was a MUST SEE for every tourist. Its opening hours was quite limited and varied according to the school calendar.

People walked slowly in a U-shape queue passing through the aisle where students had their lunch. It was not very interesting, but not something you should miss.
