We love CCE. We have never had a problem getting an appointment urgently, or getting through when we call the on-call number. My son has a habit of only getting sick on the weekends and while on vacation, and they are great with calling in whatever we need, and following up as needed by phone. Occasionally we have to wait a little in the office, but as a healthcare provider myself, I know this is normal. It is never as long as some other reviewers made it seem. I have never felt dismissed by any of the physicians we saw. All of the staff have been great, from the front desk staff to the nurses and physicians.

The doctors, nurses, and front desk staff have always been very professional, polite, and helpful any time we have brought our child in. Doesn t matter if you are a walk in or have an appointment, you get treated with the same courtesy and they try to get you in a quick as possible. They answer all questions and concerns and they will fix a problem if one comes up.

My 5 yr old received his first set of stitches today... (literally two)
It happened on a Saturday... After closing at noon. The after hours clinic was not to be opened for two hours and the ER would not have got us in in less than that time. I just went to check if the door was locked yet, it was not .

Admin sent a remaining nurse out to look and suddenly we were scooted back and it was "all hands on deck " for the remaining nurses and Drs. still there.

I am so so grateful to children's clinic east.... They were closed .... The after hours didn't open for two hours... The ER wouldn't have seen us for two hours ... This would have clotted and been so much worse to treat.
Thank you Childrens Clinic East for not turning us away when to had every right to send us on.

Only choose this provider for your child if you have lots of free time or can take an entire day off for a routine doctor s appointment. My son has been a patient since we moved to TN several years ago, and I can t think of ONE appointment that took less than two hours. There have been times we waited HOURS in the lobby, then another hour in a tiny little exam room before seeing the doctor, and all for just a routine medication check up. I understand things happen, doctors get behind and there are times that waiting is inevitable. But we aren t talking about 10-15 minutes, we re talking HOURS, and every single visit! My guess is that to make as much money possible, they warehouse, overbook and churn through patients and/or appointments; but what s not okay is that it s at my expense. What s worse is that even after expressing concern about the wait time, not one person has ever uttered a single word of acknowledgment or seemed even a little apologetic. Certainly by now they ve had enough complaints about the wait time to adjust their schedules accordingly. Since it continues to happen, clearly money and patient volume win. I can t imagine what would happen to my business if I gave the same consideration to my customers. Bottom line is that I have a job, my son has school and other activities, and our time is valuable. The folks at Children s Clinic East don t seem to agree.

If I could give them ZERO stars I would. I cringe when people say that this is a good clinic. We have given them multiple attempts and now have resorted to driving to hermitage for better care. I wouldn t even take my dog to this facility. It has to be the worst care I ve ever experienced with any medical establishment. From the front desk to the back, they are rude and unprofessional. On the last chance I gave them, they overlooked my concerns when I said my daughter was having trouble breathing with a cough. I scheduled a visit for that, only for them to diagnose her with an ear infection. Turns out she has RSV, which we found out from a Clinic!!!!!!!! This place is absolute garbage. Proceed with caution, and always trust your gut!!!

Been taking my kids here for over 7 years. The people are great and they have handled some crazy situations with my non-verbal kids. The Dr. and nurses really listen and will offer nonmedical parenting advice if you ask.

We are still a fairly new family going to Children's Clinic East. We usually go to the Lebanon office, but an appt at this location worked out better, so we were there yesterday. We were there about 1.5 hours, but by far, the majority of that time was with the nurse or NP, who completed a physical. We probably only waited about 20 minutes today in the waiting room AND the exam room. I am REALLY impressed with N.P. Amy Taylor and will be happy to have my kids see her in the future! The staff was wonderful, dealing with my daughter, who is NOT good with shots, especially LeAnne. After struggling with the office of a company who bought out our former doctor's office, I'm thrilled to have a new place to care for my kids!

I live in Virginia. My daughter just called me hysterically from Mt. Juliet telling me that her one month old baby has a temperature that was almost 102 degrees and she was trying to find a hospital to take him to per her pediatrician's instructions. She is new to Mt. Juliet and didn't know where to go. I queried on line and typed in 'emergency room hospitals in mount Juliet' and this place came up. She went in and it was apparently not an er place at all and worse yet, they looked at her like she was crazy and did not even offer to let her see a doctor. I am appalled that a new mother can walk into a medical establishment and explain the situation and get ABSOLUTELY NO HELP! I am so angry and feeling helpless that she has to drive all over creation to try to get help for a child that is in obvious distress and be turned away by a supposed children's clinic that came up online as an emergency room. She is now on the road again heading toward Nashville to try and get some help for her child. As you can imagine she is highly distressed now as well as the baby who can't catch a breath in his car seat in the back. I am completely disgusted with this establishment and I hope to hell my grandson gets the help he needs and doesn't suffer additionally because you refused to help him. SHAME ON YOU!

Great office! I ve been to lots of pediatric offices over the years and this is definitely the best for us. We see Dr. Shepherd normally, and he s very knowledgeable and friendly. We have seen other doctors though on spur of the moment sick visits, and they too are great. The nurses there are very caring and considerate. They always put my large family in one of the large exam rooms to better accommodate us. I love the online check in process and the electronic tablets for times when I don t do online check in - both make registration for visits very easy and fast. It s also very easy to get appointments here. Highly recommend!

We absolutely love Children's Clinic East. Our "home base" is the Lebanon location. Their new office is very nice, spacious and clean. We are always seen on time, even when we scheduled a day-of emergency visit. We see Dr. Orr and cannot say enough about his professionalism and care for our daughter. He is personable, genuine and makes you feel as if he truly cares for you child and concerns. We will never go anywhere else!

This is an AWFUL place in every way!! I had just moved to the area so this review is about an the first and last time I will ever come to this place.I would not recommend it to anyone. If I could rate it zero stars I would. I have a child with the genetic disease Cystic Fibrosis, and I always take precautionary measures as far as him getting sick (because for him, getting sick could mean irreversible damage, and with enough damage could mean a lung transplant, or even death), by asking for a separate room away from the waiting area, and I was spoken to with such disrespect when I asked. The request is usually never an issue. It was never an issue period at my old pediatricians . The CEO and a few of the front desk staff were SO SO RUDE. They are insensitive, and you would think you were checking your children into a prison. It is a cold uptight environment. It is clearly visible that they just want you to get in, and out without too many questions. Regardless if a child is sick or not. The individual I spoke with to check my children in, immediately said "What do you need" in a nasty voice the second I walked up to the window. A simple "Welcome, how can I help you would have been great". I was also interrogated in a very unprofessional way by the CEO here. The interrogation was a result of the front desk secretary and I getting into an altercation, because she did not care if my sick 3 year old with Cystic Fibrosis was accommodated or not. As a mother who loves her child,I got a little upset and defensive, and rightfully so. There is no mother who love s her child that would not have gotten upset. However, I was not near as disrespectful to this woman as she was to me. The CEO basically told me, me coming to Children's Clinic East was not set in stone because of what happened. I did not so much as get an apology. At the time my 7 year old was very sick, and the CEO clearly showed she did not give a care. We waited to see a doctor for almost 3 1/2 hours. The wait was all for nothing, because the doctor we seen was a total quack as well. He did not even know what psyllium was. (this is fiber) I have never been so APPALLED in my life. It sickens me that this place works with babies and children daily. My 7 year old is now terrified to go back to the doctor after this experience. Never again!!!! I would not let anyone here touch my children with a ten foot pole!

I have always been very happy with the care my children have received from Children's Clinic East, until now....
I am more so writing a review for a specific doctor vs. Children's Clinic East . Dr. Lett was very dismissive and unsympathetic when we brought our son i with full body rash and hives. We were told that he had a viral infection that was not contagious and to treat wit benadryl to control his pain from the hives. She also encouraged us that he could return to school that day. We decided that this was not what was best for our child and kept him home.
Yes, while treating with allergy medicine though out the day the hives subsided marginally and he seemed fine. Later that evening after dinner he began vomiting. There was no fever and the incident was isolated to once.
The next morning he still had some hives present on the torso but due to the encouragement from the doctor we sent him on to school.
Later in the morning I was greeted with a phone call from school saying my child was vomiting and was covered in hives again.
We took our son back to CCE to see Dr. Orr this time, who is wonderful, where we learned that he IS contagious and will vomit with eating or drinking dairy. He SHOULD NOT return to school for at least 2 days and should discontinue ingesting dairy for at minimum 3 days.
We have now risked exposing his whole classroom to the illness, which could have been avoided if the correct diagnosis was reached in the first place.

I have had good experiences with Children's Clinic East throughout my familys 3 years of bringing our daughter here. Now making this clinic our daughters safe place to come! Staff is always helpful and informative about most any question a worried parent of a sick child might think to ask. We are so fortunate to have finally found a pediatrician such as Dr.Johnston with Childrens Clinic East!
