Thorough exam but I felt that I was being pushed to buy expensive versions of frames I liked and the fee for the exam should have been communicated before the appointment. But nice staff!

All of the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and Dr.Raphael is knowledgeable, personable, and obviously passionate about her work.

They were really helpful and I'm impressed with their service.

The doctor caught something medical I did not know I had and immediately helped me deal with it. Staff was friendly and supportive. Nice environment as well. When I went to the fancy eye doctor, they had to burn off a tissue behind my lens that had clouded up ... they say a common problem following cataract surgery. I'm now wondering how they could accurately measure my eyesight and prescribe lenses when I wasn't seeing well out of that eye???

I felt very comfortable with Dr. Rafael and her assistant. Everything is very clean and they took all the necessary precautions one would expect during this pandemic. Dr. Rafael was very thorough and she helped me navigate my insurance benefits when it came to purchasing glasses or contacts. I would definitely recommend Chicago Eyes!

Environment is very relaxing, and staff is very friendly. I found the appointment moved very slowly, but perhaps only because several of the staff were new and learning their jobs. Either way, the staff were very courteous and friendly, and helped me select a pair of glasses without making me feel pressured to buy a certain pair.

Dr. Rafael taught me things about keeping my eyes and contact lenses healthy that I had never heard from any other eye doctor in the past - very impressive! Her staff is friendly and very helpful in explaining their procedures, costs and insurance policies. Eye insurance is something new to me so the help provided in navigating this areas was extremely helpful. I even found a pretty blue pair of glasses to order right in the store upon my exit.

Six months later...turns out my cat decided to bite tiny holes in my lenses while I was asleep and, you know, not feeding him. Upon returning from the lab to confirm their condition, Chicago Eyes offered me the option to purchase insurance on the pair of eyeglasses that I had already purchased over six months ago.

As a college student who desperately needs to save every penny she can, this was incredibly helpful and a greatly appreciated gesture.

Thanks to Chicago Eyes, I will have my lenses repaired in less than a week, and it won't cost me an arm and a leg - a million "thank yous" to Dr. Rafael and to her team.

I've had to wear eyeglasses since I was in pre-school so finding the right eye doctor when I moved away from home was crucial. I highly recommend Chicago Eyes to anyone looking for outstanding service and to gain knowledge of their eyes and eye-care options.

I got the best service here. The staff was friendly and Eye Dr is very knowledgeable and through. These are the best glasses I ve had in years. Went back for my yearly check up and got my second pair in three days time. Great service. Their prices are higher than Target but it so worth it. My vision is too important to me. I suffered with too small lenses from that other place and all they needed to do was guide me to a larger frame. But they were to concerned with the thickness of the lenses not the quality of my vision. I finally got the perfect size frames for my very bad vision. I couldn t be happier. You get what you pay for. Thank you Chicago Eyes!

$220 for an eye exam what a rip off. Run away from this place. Granville vision is right down the street and they only charge $80 for the exam.

very professional people they know exactly what they are talking about they have all the answer to any questions i had they even give you advice on what is better option for you i used to go to PV and LC they are good too but this place is as good as them but in my experience they surpass my expectation and to top that its convinient for me coz its 2 city blocks from my house so all in all very satisfied with my visit with that being said i would recommend them to anybody for sure ;-)

I was treated with the highest level of professionalism. I was given ample explanation and all my clarifications were answered. I am totally satisfied with the service I have received.

Don't buy glasses here. They are overpriced, and you may not be able to return them for a refund if there's a problem.

I spent about $600 on a pair of glasses here, and within a few days I found that they were hurting my face in a way that loosening them could not help. As soon as I started to notice this, I called Chicago Eyes and asked them if I could return them for a refund. They told me no. And the reason they gave me was bizarre. They said it was because I also occasionally wear contact lenses which I had also bought from them. I have no idea what one has to do with the other, but they told me that's why they wouldn't let me return the glasses.

Anyway, now I am $600 poorer, and all I have to show for it is a pair of glasses that I can't wear for more than a short time without pain.

There are other glasses shops which have lower prices and allow returns. I suggest going to one of them instead of Chicago Eyes.

My experience was top notch. They were patient and kind and professional.

Dr. Sandra, the optometrist who examined me was prestigious, knowledgeable, caring and genuine. She took her thorough time to make sure she didn t miss anything. (which she didn t) She gave me suggestions on a future plan/follow up and helped me figure it out financially knowing that it wasn t going to be inexpensive. I give this place a 10/10 and would definitely recommend this eye care center to anyone. Relaxing, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable people. Thank you guys!!

Everyone at Chicago Eyes is very friendly, and Dr. Rafael was very thorough and answered all of my eye-health questions.

I was gonna give 4 stars because I had to wait to see the doctor for 30 minutes. However, each of the two customer-facing staff members were very polite and friendly and were conscientious of each of the 3 customers they had in the store.

Once I got in to see my optometrist, she set me at ease and was completely present and engaging in what my intentions and expectations were for the exam. I had some anxieties and lots of questions. She handled them expertly. She also is always up front about how to best manage one's eye health and how to maximize health benefits.

My one on one time with the staff and doctor was exceptional and was worth the extra half hour wait.

The staff is very friendly and the doctor is one of the best. I recommend this location to all my family and friends.

Came in to schedule an appointment, they were able to see me immediately. Exam took over 90 min had to redo retina pictures a few times, my file didnt have anything from my last visit. Purchased new pair of glasses and warranty, but wouldn't be ready before I was to go on vacation. Asked for a screw to repair my old glasses for the road trip. They wanted to charge me $5 for a screw after spending $500. Dr Rafael stepped in and they gave me the hardware to fix on my own. No worries. Came home picked up new glasses. Had a screw fall out, after 3 days, that holds the lenses. Came in a few days later when I had time to get them fixed. 25 min later was given glasses with a couple little Frankenstein bolts I was not very pleased as my $500 purchase was clearly a manufacturer defect. Inquired about getting new frames was told it would be $35 shipping for then to replace my glasses. After 30 min of discussing with 2 employees left with no clear answer of what happens if the other screw falls out other than I can spend $35 for new frames. If they are out of stock on the frames then I have to spend another $55 for new lenses as well. Better, more efficient, more affordable places out there that will stand behind their products. Search around before going here!

Overpriced, low quality glasses.

I went in for what was supposed to be a $10 check up. They performed a bunch of extra tests without telling me they weren't included in the checkup and then charged me $50.
Then I picked out some good lenses with extra features like scratch resistant coating, etc. It was really expensive even with insurance. (Now, when I realized they were overpriced, I tried to cancel same day, but they wouldn't let me.)
But now, having paid so much, you would expect good quality, right? Nope!
This is my 5th month and without any rough handling of the glasses, there are spots and scratches on the lenses. So much for that overpriced scratch resistance...

A small accidental drop also cracked one of the lenses. The polycarbonate lens is supposed to be impact resistant...

I don't recommend purchasing glasses from them.

I've been going for a few years now and have never had any issues. I've even went for an emergency, lacerated cornea, and was VERY satisfied with the care.

Dr. Rafael and everyone ar Chicago Eyes have exceeded my expectations every visit. I am always greeted and made to feel welcome, and never had to wait a long time. Dr. Rafael actively listens and provides helpful and clear guidance. It is important to me to work with doctors and health care professionals who treat patients like a whole person and the team here definitely does. Will continue to make the drive even though we've moved out of the city. Recommend!!!

Service is excellent! The staff and optometrist are very knowledgeable courteous friendly. I get great advice and service here. The clinic is clean and neat. They could have more variety of designer glasses for women though.

I stopped in as a walk-in hoping to get an appointment and the staff was very courteous and helpful! The service was EXCELLENT! They were able to squeeze me about an hour and half later. I was in no rush so ran a couple of more errands and returned. Both the doctor and staff were very efficient in helping me understand my benefits given it was the 1st time I was using my new insurance. They were both very thorough in explaining my eye condition, the exams that were going to take place and the type of lenses I would best benefit from and how to use them once I received them since I need transitional lenses. Both the staff and doctor were very helpful with assisting me choose from a variety of frames and offered helpful suggestions. I later asked to add transitional's to my lenses and Karla was awesome! She reached out to my insurance and made sure it wasn't to late to add. They also gave me a heads up on the turn around time my insurance would take to get my new pair of glasses in. I'm glad I chose to come here despite the recent reviews.
