I love this hardware store! Unlike Home Depot, at Cherrydale Hardware at least one person is usually waiting just inside the door to help you. They usually have a good solution to your problem, too.

I have never compared prices because Cherrydale Hardware could charge me ten times the big box price and I would still walk away happy.

A friend bought an Aeron chair which required a little assembly but had no tool or specs included so we couldn't even remove the bolts from their packing position. She took us to Cherrydale. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly, helpful, and didn't even laugh about our predicament. He made us feel that we weren't oafs, and then led us to exactly what we needed. They have good prices and make a fine neighborhood hardware store...even for the little things. Recommended.

Super helpful folks here. They get that in the days of big box stores, people will still go to the little guys if they differentiate on service. These guys do, I love having this as my local hardware store.

Cool local hardware store. Came here to buy some gardening supplies. They had a good, but not great selection here of potting supplies. Seed selection was limited though. They do have lots of hardware supplies though and the staff is super friendly and useful.

Awesome local hardware store that has (most) stuff that you are looking for. The shelves are chock full of hardware items and navigating thru the aisles can be overwhelming. Luckily, the staff is very knowledgeable and always willing to help. I have always been able to find most of the standard items I am looking for.

Plus, they have been an icon in Arlington for many years and it is always good to support a fine local business :)

INCREDIBLY helpful. Once I admitted I had no idea what I was doing, the staff worked hard to get me what I needed and even helpfully explained what choices they were making and why - I learned a little bit about construction fundamentals! Super nice, never made me feel silly.

A local, full-service hardware store, not a chain. Stopped unloading their large delivery and helped me identify weeds and options for treatment. Garden department also has several types of grass seed, sold individually by type or their custom mixes by the pound. They will also help you create your own mix. All the staff are always very helpful.

Has a lot of building things and parking is okay. The check out could be faster though. And the aisle a very thin. If there are a lot of people it is hard to get things and move around the store.

Small but well-stocked neighborhood hardware store with all of your basic home maintenance and repair needs. Staff is super friendly and willing to help with advice or just finding the right item. Seasonally rotating garden/holiday decoration section.

This place is awesome! I've definitely found my new hardware store and am so glad I never again have to brave Home Depot and its horde of condescending eye rolling employees again. I had a dog vs wood door situation that the dog clearly won, and needed to try and fix it before the new tenants moved into my apartment. After reading the reviews on Yelp, I headed over to Cherrydale and was immediately asked if I needed help. As an early 20's single girl who has always relied on apartment maintenance staff, yes, I definitely needed help.

These guys were great- the first guy I asked wasn't sure what to recommend and went to get his manager for me, who knew exactly what to get. He was great in explaining to me exactly how to fix the problem, and I felt like the whole staff genuinely wanted to help. The best part was everything I needed cost less than $10, when I was considering hiring a handyman for much more. They saved me a ton of time and money. I will definitely come back for all of my DIY and fix it projects!

I love walking into this store and immediately being greeted by someone who asks "Do you need some help?" I explain what I'm looking for and they lead me right to it and show me the options. I have solved so many little problems by going to Cherrydale Hardware store. They've helped me find the right nuts and bolts (or whatever!) and once even helped me with a quick repair on a child's wagon. They're awesome!

Went there to get a garden's item but ended up got so many things. Staffs are incredible knowledge, something you won't find at home depot. I showed the guy the picture of something I have no idea what it called. I have been to Home depot (several locations) and staffs there had no idea what is it.Unlike here the guy were able to tell me what I was looking for was called, "storm door strike plate" my frustrations over months were gone. Also got some tips how to get rid of invaded plants. They had no intention to push people to buy unnecessary stuffs. Also got the keys copy there, work seamlessly. I would drive from Springfield to Arlington because they are really worth it. Thank you guys!

Convenieny, well-equipped hardware store w seasonal items (eg mulch and soil, gardening tools in spring.). Helpful, friendly staff. lll call there first and if they don't have the item I'll suffer home depot.

Great local hardware store! Staff is super helpful and always attentive. This is always my go-to place for just about anything I need in the house. Prices are also very good. Try this place before heading to one of the big box stores, you'll be happy with the results.

This place is great!

This place is great!
I was having problems with my bike and I believe each person there helped me in one way or another to get the problem solved. Each of them were friendly and did what they could to help me, and they offered suggestions to ensure that I didn't run into the same problem again.

Really handy, much bigger than it looks from outside so they have a large variety of hardware tools and garden accessories as well as electronics and light bulbs. What is going for it is that it is just that right size not too big like the Home Depot where you get lost and yet you have a large enough variety of good enough quality that does the job. And the staff are really very helpful. I find it much easier to go there then to Home Depot. Moderately priced.

I don't know if I've ever encountered an employee who was more unfriendly and rude. The employee insulted me multiple times! They had what I needed but I plan to never return. Man made me feel annoyed that I had spent any money at store.

This store saves me so much time. It saves me from driving to Home Depot or Lowes. Their selection is pared down, so you don't have to ponder endless products to find what you want. Their prices on many items are comparable to the big box stores. Also you can find items, such as brush cleaner, which is hard to find at Home Depot, etc.
The staff are unusually helpful. They are ready to help you as soon as you enter the store. They are all guys. The only thing I don't like about this store is the checkout counter. It is much higher than the rest of the store. This setup makes you feel like the staff is looming over you; making them slightly larger than life. Be warned the staff look a little rough, but they have great attitudes.

This is always my first stop for hard to find items like nuts, bolts, fasteners, etc. It may not be the size of a Home Depot or a Lowes, but the excellent customer service really sets it apart. People will help you find whatever you need. I can bring in a nut or a screw and get help finding appropriate replacements instead of playing "is that the same thing in the box" at other stores.

one of the more interesting hardware stores i've ever been to. almost impossible to find anything without help, but luckily there is usually someone around who can help you and who knows where everything is.

It was a very good experience in the hardware store. The employerswere knowledgeable, polite, helpful, and honest. if they didn't have a product they sometimes recommended where I could buy it. it's a very convenient store in the neighborhood for all sorts of home supplies. I hope the store will continue to be a vital part of the community. it certainly has been helpful to me to have the hardware store so conveniently nearby.
I would recommend coming in the store for not only regular Hardware items, but also to look at their garden section.

Cherrydale Hardware is a great close, convenient option for supplies for a weekend project. They have a surprising selection in stock, and their prices are not significantly different from Home Depot. Given the time savings, they re a great option when you want to quickly get what you need and get back to work!

I've been here three times now and find it incredibly convenient. They seem to have everything one would need - Sure, they don't have 10 brand names of each product, but their selection is great. And it easily accessible, and the staff are pleasant.

One of the few remaining old fashioned neighborhood hardware stores. They have pretty much all the basics, and spur of the moment items, you need. If they don't stock something they can usually order it. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I always choose a local merchant over a box chain store when I can.

Went in today looking for a boat to hold down the battery. Not only did they find me the exact both I need it but they actually installed the bracket which held on the battery. Could not have asked for better customer service.

Lately, I go in to this location to be confronted by a young, hip, and sarcastic 18 -to-20 year old looking guy, with light brown hair and wire framed glasses , who is only versed in rude sarcasm, and is unwilling to think "outside the box", and while some other employees have to go the extra distance for this one employee, this scenario is getting old. Someone needs to school this young man in the ways of the world
