Due to COVID-19 they will NOT let you come get a birth certificate. It's ridiculous! We can send our kids to school and go to work, but y'all won't help people out who need a birth certificate when they are required for certain necessities.
Amazing experience. I went to get birth control and I was greeted with big smiles. Service was prompt and from the office girl to the last nurse I deal with, they were all very professional and friendly. I was nervous for the bad reviews but I was amazingly surprised. Another thing that caught my attention was the way they treated people with not English skills or disabilities. They really make the effort to include everyone and I truly think they excel in customer service.
The ladies of vital services were so helpful and polite I really enjoyed and appreciated their help, thank you again
My wife and I were among the 500 people that your department gave hepatitis shots to yesterday, Sunday, March, 24, 2019. We were there from 12 to 5 PM. To us it seem to be a lot of waiting and sometimes frustrating. And there were some complaining. But when I got home and heard the news that your staff serviced 500 people I had a whole different opinion of your staff. I want to commend your staff on how they handled that many people and probably a surprise to them. They were all nice and friendly with everybody I saw. Somebody would complain but the staff members handled it really exceptional well. Normally when 500 people are served in a situation like that , good feelings and appreciation are rare, especially when it involves government services. But you have an excellent staff of people and I commend them. Thank you.

I was nervous about going to the Health Dep. especially after reading the reviews. But, I have to say I disagree with all the previous reviews! They were very professional and nice from the time I called to make an appointment to validating my parking afterward! I only spent about an hour (total) there so, I would consider that to be pretty quick. I would recommend.
Shame on you - turning patients who have made a COVID Vaccine time slot, drove all the way to Chattanooga to be turned away because they live in Bradley County instead of Hamilton. We are all Tennesseans! Bradley county has been out for over a MONTH- yet you are turning people away and leaving that vaccine un-used. Shame Shame Shame!!! Vaccinate- don't Discriminate! Look at every other state-- people from TN can drive to GA for goodness sake and be vaccinated!!
So impressed with how they are handling everything with COVID. They are navigating a difficult situation with a virus that isn t well known with citizens that aren t always understanding. Both my husband and I have been through the virus and were very impressed that a real person reached out to us everyday to see how we were doing.
Called the vital records department about obtaining a birth certificate for my son. Spoke with a lady named Kelly and she was able to help me make sure I had everything I need when I came in to obtain it. She was very helpful and knowledgeable.
I have worked there for over 11 years and know that each clinic strives for prompt and courteous customer service and excels in providing great public health care.
I appreciate the covid vaccine on February 7. BOTH the staff, professionals and volunteers worked fast and efficiently at the bus barn site. THANKS SO MUCH.
Had 2 ladies to wait on me the other day when I came in to get my husband's birth certificate that were absolutely kind personal. The Alabama fan of course was my favorite. Keep these girl they are a asset.
My family has received great care from the health department. At each appointment, we were seen on time by caring and knowledgeable clinicians. Everyone we have seen has truly gone out of their way to help. If you're traveling and need vaccines or just want an annual flu shot, the health department is a great resource!
They were nice, lady at the front window was a little rude but after seeing the rude people she had to deal with I understand why she was like that. Very good place

Needed vaccines for a trip. Called twice with 30 min+ wait times. Both times they said I'd be called back. Never had my calls returned. Called back the last time, but was more aggressive and persistent. Finally got to their vaccine team to schedule appointment. Team doesn't agree with CDC travel vaccine recommendations. Very concerning for a department of health. Patient satisfaction: 0. Negligence could ultimately hurt patients not persistent, educated, or with spare time to call during banking hours.
The sign in staff at the window was amazing but when I got to the back the nurse was rude and talked to fast to understand when i asked her to repeat it bc I didn't understand what to do because this was also my first time doing something like this she said it even more rude. Never will I come back to this health department again.

Incredibly rude. I called with some questions and the lady who answered the phone seemed put out with me from the get go. She kept cutting me off and jumping to answer the question with what she assumed I was asking instead of letting me finish my question. I had a terrible time communicating with her because of this and she become more and more frustrated and rude. I get we are all stressed right now but it s not okay to bite someone s head off for asking questions. I was very surprised and very disappointed by the way I was treated. There s a lot of misinformation out there right now regarding covid, eligibility, and the vaccine. The Health Department should play a vital role in this county as a source providing people with trustworthy information, so it s very disheartening to see them operate like this. I hope they can get different personnel to run the phones because Hamilton County residents need to be able to reach out with questions in order to get trust worthy information.

After recently being exposed to Covid 19 by a customer who later tested positive, I decided I better get tested myself as a precaution. I went to the website and saw the location for testing. I went to Brainard High School and was I would be called with the results in 3 - 5 days. Also informed if I wasn't able to answer the phone I should call the number provided to obtain these results. Very surprisingly I was called the next day but wasn't able to answer the phone. They left a message that said they were putting the results in the mail. When I picked up the message I called the number and was told they couldn't help me, I could wait on the mail service or call back tomorrow. If they can't help me today why are they able to help me tomorrow? I also asked to speak to a supervisor but they weren't available. My final comment was to tell them if this is the correct procedure someone needs to tell those working at the testing sites to not tell them to call the office for results. Sadly I didn't get the impression that anything would be done to correct incorrect information being given.

The clinic is clean and organized, and I was the only patient in there at the time. They discourage people from going in there by not returning phone calls and refusing to schedule appointments. That way, nobody has to work very hard. I'm sad for the state of health in Hamilton County for people who really need low cost health care and aren't willing to try hard enough to break through the wall put up by these employees.
Not doing the procedure correctly there's for showing negative results
I've only been here once, & that was to get my youngest son's birth certificate. However, they were able to help me in a timely & efficient manner.

From what I can tell this looks like the department that is responsible for the communist mask mandate put in place around day 153 of "15 days to slow the spread". I haven't quite yet figured out how to vote for the whole thing to be disbanded, deconstructed, loaded in a rusty train container and shipped to a blue state but I'm working on it.
I have utilized the services of the Health Dept multiple times, and I feel like they are doing an amazing job in the face of such uncertain times! I just got my Pfizer vaccine today, and so far, so good! The process they have set up to schedule and actually get the vaccine was seamless! Kudos and thanks to everyone working to help fight the pandemic!
