Was greeted by a lady named erin. She was totally rude. We have came there a couple times because we needed help with dog/cat food for the month. She insisted that they couldn't help us nomore because our pets wasnt spayed/neutered. She kept saying that we could barely take care of our animals, Not even knowing our situation. Then i noticed i was put onto the do not adopt list because of an incident that happened at an address ive NEVER lived at, Involving a cat whos name i NEVER owned a pet by that name. I believe someone falsely used my information and the problem hasnt even been solved!!!

We looked at a puppy online and initially thought he might be too small and expressed our reservations, but told them if the puppy was still available when we got back to town we would meet him and decide. We went to the CASPCA and met a different puppy the next week and told them we wanted to still meet the original one. We went to meet the original one and the told the foster we would think about it, but my wife wanted him. The foster told us to contact the CASPCA if we wanted to adopt. so an hour later we called and paid the adoption fee, got the papers to sign when we pick him up and got the microchip put in our name. The next day when we contacted the CASPCA to pick him up they said that they had promised to someone else after we had adopted him. Talked to the director, Sam, who said she was going to refund our money and undue the adoption because of our initial impression that he was too small. She said it does not matter if we called and adopted him, it doesn't matter if we met him, it doesn't matter if we paid for him, it doesn't matter if the microchip is in our name......she was undoing the adoption because we were upset they gave our dog away after we adopted him.....This ASPCA is not affiliated with the National ASPCA, DO NOT SUPPORT them, do not adopt here or they will tear your heart out and tell you not to be upset. UPDATE: 4 hours later, after all the crying and heartbreak we were called and told that we could come pick our dog up after all.....still one star review for the way in which things are run here.

Really great shelter! We recently got a companion for our cat after our older cat passed, and they were very supportive and flexible. Everyone seemed focused on the animals' welfare and getting them into a good home.

There is a lot of support both before and after getting a pet placed which I think is great.

The cat we adopted had amazing foster parents and because of that is really settling in well. There is also some digital behavior support from the shelter which we didn't need but newer pet owners might.

They have some safety protocols in place for COVID as well.

The facility was large and well maintained. There were paths for walking the dogs as you were trying to determine if the pet is a good match for you. The staff was very kind and willing to assist in making the best match. Would definitely drive the 2.5 hours again for another pet from this facility.

Volunteered here for a number of years a while back. Love how they treat the animals and the volunteers seem to really care. They truly try to place animals with owners who will properly care for them. Can't say enough good things.

How are you gonna get animals adopted if you are charging $125 for 1 kitten?? I don t understand. So worried about money then actually finding these animals forever homes. Shows the world revolves around money. Never EVER going to adopt from this place. Those animals deserve way more than just a damn price tag over their heads.
