Recently Greenthal management came on board to our...

Recently Greenthal management came on board to our Windsor oaks. However, ever since they came on board, all the expenses changed or went up...one started with security deposit for garage changed to non-refundable processing fee; two maintenance increase and removing abatement on monthly basis but a one time to off set whatever coming as so-called assessment fee (may possibly we are getting back nothing or to pay more to the management...who knows?!)...then now another increase to garage rent! What s next?? Everything is going up and we cannot survive with such!! No wonder many more of our 40+years of residents are moving out! Who knows what kind of ppl are moving in! This is terrible! I wish for the back old days with a quiet environment and stable expenses unlike what is going on nowadays!! Why our selected board members are not fighting back for us but accepting whatever the management raises?????!!!!!??? Please stop any increase fees!!!!!!

The worst management company in NY. They charge er...

The worst management company in NY. They charge erroneous late fees even when rent is paid via ClickPay, and then ignore attempts to get in contact with them for YEARS, opting to let the fees accumulate and then hold you accountable for them. Oh, and a whole bunch of tenants in one of their buildings are suing them for shoddy and unsafe construction that s making people physically sick. Enough said.

Greedy, sleazy, and quite possibly the most unethical property manager in the city. Like some other reviewers have said: RUN.

This company is absolutely horrible. No one retur...

This company is absolutely horrible. No one returns calls or emails. Employees pass you on to someone else to deal with your issue and in the end nothing gets done. I have been dealing with them for 3 weeks to return monies owed to me and they don't respond to me or my attorney. Despite people with titles there is a high level of incompetence or the employees pretend to not know a thing about anything you present to them. Despite presenting in person at their offices, you will be told no one is in to assist you and to leave your name, and no one ever contacts you. Anyone looking to live in a building run by this management company needs to run in the other direction, or you will spend alot of money in attorney fees, as they don't respond to attorney's either. The board of directors need to reconsider using this management company as the only way to get anything accomplished is to threaten to sue them. This is not the way shareholders want their money spent.

Horrible company. They have owed me $500 since May...

Horrible company. They have owed me $500 since May and refuse to respond to my inquiries. They said a check was in the mail twice then a different rep told me they never mailed anything. I haven t had a response from them for a month.

Very hard to get an actual person on the phone. Poor communication skills across the board. Accidental letters sent regarding legal action for no reason, was told to ignore and throw away. Overall, very negative experience working with this company. Completely incompetent.

I have been trying to make good on the payment by ...

I have been trying to make good on the payment by auto withdraw and bank directly sends check to the agency, when they move their mailing address, at least let the owner know.... Checks were returned, COUNTLESS times trying to contact the person in charge of our area seems never available and DOES NOT return calls. BUT agency has been quick on court judgements. I don't know why our association pick them to manage our homeowners association because they don't do anything to improve the area.

Hopefully this program will allow me to give them zero stars. They applied a payment to the wrong account, the onus was on me to straighten it out , sent me a bill for their legal fees . I contacted one of their management staff who didn t respond to three calls and multiple emails for weeks. Finally told me he can t remove charge . Waiting to hear who can.

They are unresponsive, incompetent and arrogant as well. Will post another review if and when resolved.

Other management companies can typically complete ...

Other management companies can typically complete background checks within 1-2 business days. It takes Greenthal over a week. Further, most professionals will pick up their phones in the office. Greenthal's employees clearly believe in working at their leisure. Hands down the worst management company in New York City.

This is the most incompetent management company ev...

This is the most incompetent management company ever.They do nothing but harass their tenants and shareholders.We own a co-op in one of their buildings and find them extremely rude, incompetent and belligerent.They NEVER answer phone calls, claim they never get our written letters even though we send them certified mail with a return receipt. All they are interested in is how much money they can extort from their clients.There is a fee and deposit for every little thing they can charge you for and then refuse to return the deposit. They owe us over 24,000.00 in deposits and refuse to return the funds.If you are planning to buy or rent from Greenthal, please take our advice and DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!! You will regret it.

Over the years that they have been the manager of ...

Over the years that they have been the manager of our coop building, I have always found them to be very responsive to issues and requests, very helpful in providing information and solutions, very professional and yet also caring, collegial, and genuinely helpful in resolving issues, solving problems, and making things better any way they can. I have worked with them on apartment renovations and they could not have been more helpful. And I am particularly impressed by how well they are handling the COVID-19 issues, working with our wonderful board (yes, we have a wonderful board, too!) to protect both staff and residents.

The apartment was water damaged because of the 2nd...

The apartment was water damaged because of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-floor units. Repairs weren't done in an efficient manner, kept recurring and firm was at times unresponsive and slow. The ceiling fell apart and the firm wasn't responsive to the Fire Department, didn't respond to emails and phone calls in a timely manner during weekend emergencies.

I live in an upper west side rental. Been there over 30 years. Seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood and the building I reside in.by far the best manager of the rental units is Charles H Greenthal. And there have been a few before them
I had signed a new lease and requested a paint job
The building is old and my walls were not in great shape. They sent the most amazing crew. Ever professional. Clean best best job. I cannot be happier. Thank you Charles H Greenthal .Special shout out to

This is by far the worst company rental or otherwi...

This is by far the worst company rental or otherwise I have ever dealt with in my life. They continuously try to scam out of money, raising rent while taking amenities away, trying to not refund security deposits or mandatory move in fees. Attempted for 3 months to resign a lease and was continuously ignored via email, hung up on the phone and spoken to disrespectfully. Every single employee I have tried to speak to at the leasing office has been incredibly rude and lazy. I 100% do not recommend ever living here.
