If I could give this place zero stars I would.Maria the caseworker was just terrible and has zero knowledge yet thinks she knows it all. She doesn t care and thinks she knows best. She didn t even offer my mom a transfer! They were rude and tried to blame us the family for my moms condition. They said things that made is seem like my mom was gonna not get better if not worse. That not the half of it! They actually made her worse and her infection could have cost her my moms life! They were causing the death of my mother! Thank god they don t like to keep you long their. They basically called at 5 Pm and said come pick up your mom or we will sent her home in a taxi! What the heck is that my mom couldn t even walk! Number one that s illegal! They thought she was faking the pain yet they kept giving her morphing to keep her quite so they didn t have to change her that often! Sickening! And the staff failed to realize that they were giving her the wrong antibiotic and they failed to see her lack of motivation was because she was so drugged up and tired. These people are sick and should not work here. Go to foothill regional that where my mom is and she is better being their 2 days then 15 days in chapman global. These people can go to you know where the way they treat their patients. I am So sad for the staff because they are going to pay for their lack of care in the end. One way or another.

This is the most unprofessional medical facility I have been too.

Admittance staff in the window does not care much what the problem is. Her word, she is just the admittance and care only about billing and papers. I only asked how long will my kid wait.

The bald fat guy in the emergency nurses station expects my kid to move around although he is suffering from severe pain. Upon arrival, I asked for a wheelchair but he said the on y wheel chair they have is in use and will return. Waited for long time but none.

I asked for a blanket but nothing provided. Have to help my self to where it is kept.

Hostile and loud environment.

Nurses including the guy giving diagnosis which will later contradicts the doctor.

Radiologist for the CT scan seems bored and can't even have conversation to reduce stress. I understand it is not his job to entertain people but a more professional attitude could help.

Doctor not introducing himself. Just had a tag that says doctor. Had to ask for more information on his diagnosis as he did not provide much unless asked.

Honestly, probably the worst hospital I have EVER been to. The staff are rude, and extremely unprofessional. I didn't even get medication after being diagnosed, nor even discharge papers. I got absolutely nothing out of this. I felt extremely unwanted by this hospital.

THIS HOSPITAL COMPLETELY IGNORED MY MOTHERS SYMPTOMS!!! My mom has gallbladder stones and went to the ER for them. She was in horrible pain, could barely breathe. They gave her pain meds said she may need surgery in the future and sent her on her marry way. She went home and the pain meds did nothing, she was crying and unable to rest. Friday, she went to a different ER. St Joseph's. They examined her, gave her blood test, X-rays and told her she needs surgery ASAP. Her liver was infected her gallbladder stones were infected..... my mother has been in the hospital for 2 days now. And is finally being treated properly. This hospital is NEGLECTFUL!!!

All RN nurses on their phone. Negligent my dad for hours and he was forced to wait hours to go to the bathroom and get more medicine. Horrible nurses and cleaning staff. Don't bother coming here. I'm so annoyed and frustrated. No wonder they have 2.5.

There were very little patients in this facility yet somehow it took forever, they never even gave me a room or bed. The doctor prescribed me medication that did nothing for my pain , and I ended up in a different emergency room 2 days later. This place is unprofessional.

This place is a SCAM!!!!! They billed my insurance company over $27,000 for a torn achilles procedure and they billed them over $33,000 for my 16 year olds' emergency appendectomy!!!!!

My insurance company paid them less then the amount they tried to charge, but I still had to pay a huge deductible and co-insurance payment. This is a total scam, BEWARE OF THE EMERGENCY ROOM SERVICES AND THE PRICES YOU (AND YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY) WILL BE CHARGED!!!

My daughter was ambulanced to the ER on a Sunday evening we waited 7 hours to be moved to the ICU. The RN on duty was rude, and uncaring, she actually threatened me with calling security because I wanted answers. After being moved to the ICU, the staff was wonderful very attentive and kind. The ICU Drs were equally nice and helpful. The ER area was dirty and my daughter is in isolation 24/7 and deaf. The respitory therapist in the ER was silent and without compassion. Not sure I would recommend going to the ER but beyond that not a bad place.

Terrible service. I came to this facility when pregnant with my first child and having an issue. After being made to wait for 45+ minutes, I was admitted and told they did not have adequate technology to assess my situation and would need to transport me to another facility. I also have a friend who came in having a heart attack...he was told he came in the wrong entrance and to go out and walk to the correct entrance.

Terrible service we had to leave because my girlfriend had a bulge in her abdomen and we where waiting for over an hour and a half when we saw a lady cut in front of everyone bc she had a stomach pain and she was making a scene so they took her in and left us waiting even though we were there long before her. Don t waste your time coming here. The doctors don t care at all.

This hospital was the worst I ever knew possible in this country. A nurse stole my complete identy and used all my credit cards because the first nurse failed to lock up anything. I was wiped out financially and Chapman refuses to reimburse. Not only that it was substandard nursing and doctor care. I am 63 years old and they left no towels in they left no towels in the bathroom and I fell and hit my head and right after a craniotomy. I am from Montana and couldn't get an attorney to take my case.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Save yourself a headache and just go across the street to St. Joseph Hospital!

I needed medical treatment so my boyfriend drove me to the nearest ER which happened to be Chapman Global. Upon arrival, I checked in w/ the receptionist outside the building and told her what I needed to get done. She asked for my ID and handed me paperwork to fill out. Before I even began filling out the paperwork, a doctor (who seemed to be coming back from his break) came up from behind me and caught me off guard. He told me I needed sutures, which was OBVIOUS, and then left.

As I was filling out paperwork, I wasn't sure if this hospital was in my insurance network, so I asked the receptionist for my ID back because I wanted to leave and get treated somewhere else. I got my ID back and left. Please keep in mind, during this entire time, NOBODY took my temperature, blood pressure, vitals, which they claim to have done on my medical bill. I also never even received a patient wristband, nor stepped inside the hospital.

A month goes by, and I receive a bill from them saying that I received ER physician service by Brian M. Coombe on 6/17 (which by the way was also the incorrect date). LOL which service did I receive when I wasn't even admitted into the hospital? NOBODY could clarify this and just keeps telling me it is what it is. I tried calling the billing dept. and the (rude) girl said the date does seem to be incorrect, and then she also proceeded to add MORE services onto the revised bill. Oh and by the way, if you ask for proof, they make you request a medical record, which you'll get charged about $45 for. But seriously, why am I going to pay $45 for them to just add more lies on to my record?

I just want to remind EVERYONE they billed me directly, because I never gave them my insurance info, which usually is given to the hospital after you receive your treatment.

I don't want to deal with these CLOWNS anymore, who make up BS reasons to bill you. They're lucky my insurance will take care of this. But please be aware, they'll add BS on your invoice to make $$$.

St. Joseph is WAY more professional. Considering this entire covid pandemic, they will check your temp, vitals, blood pressure, and give you a patient wrist band before entering the hospital. The only thing you'll find at Chapman, is a receptionist, the security, and a doctor who's taking his cigarette break outside who's just trying to take your money.

Disrespected .. Jamie, the supervisor of admitting at Chapman Global had a serious attitude towards every question I asked and made me feel like I was stupid for not knowing the billing policies of a hospital I'd never been to. My experience at the ER was fine, got my stitches and I was in then out. The billing process, however, was entirely unprofessional. When I tried to setup a payment plan I left a voicemail first day calling in .. Call never returned. Called in a couple days later. When I did get ahold of somebody I was told hey had no information for me and Jamie left early that day. It was 1:30?? I called the day after, and after 3-4 attempts at voice mails I finally connect with the supervisor. She had a rude tone the entire call, seemed the only time she was friendly was when she was offering a payment plan that would raise my bill from $430 to over $2600. Nice customer service guys, from the call centers and supervisors alike. Disappointed.

This place is the most horrible hospital i have ever been! This past monday evening i was refused service by the doctor on duty in the emergency room for been a kaiser Permanente patient, i was brought there by ambulance because while having dinner i started to choke as soon as i was in and paramedics started to explain what happened to me the doctor female said oh no i cant do nothing for her here she needs to go somewhere else worst part when she found out i was a kaiser member she said she doesn't belong here she needs to go to her hospital and rudely as she was since the beginning asked the paramedic what you brought her here take her to Kaiser, paramedic said because it was an emergency and this was the nearest hospital, unfortunately i dont remember the name of this woman im so grateful that because my sister im still alive and she is not a doctor... pathetic to see that some one like this works with people when doesn't show shes human being completely unprofesional and no ethics hope and pray to god she never experience something like this.

Place is terrible...I visited the ER, they didn't run my medical insurance, which I was covers for ER VISITS. Didn't send me a bill. Then sold my debt and it's been hurting my credit for one year! Lucky for me I found proof and now having to do THEIR WORK !!!

I am still sooo up set over how badly I was treated when I went in for surgery that I can't talk about it. Also when my son came to visit me he said he witnessed a security guard assault a 70 years old patient near the elevator. The man had just had back surgery and the guard shoved him to the ground.

Horrible place to go. My husband had surgery and the doctor left and didn't even talk to me about the procedure. I dontt know what they did and how he was doing. He stayed in recovery for 3 hours still no one bothered to come and tell me his condition, then after I called and complained they moved him to a room and made me wait to see him for another hour.....so unprofessional!!

I had 7 level spinal surgery this past weekend. I stayed in ICU without any airconditioner. I have to argue and at times being yelled at because the registry nurse assigned to my room did not show up. Just imagine no pain meds, no air conditioning and when you ask these nurse they yell at the patient. Specially that Asian male RN who said "I dont care who you are".The star is for my doctor who took excellent care of my surgery, I also asked him to be discharge me early and he agreed. I think this place should be looked at by the state for its mediocre patient care.

I went to the ER last night 2-13-17 9:30 pm. Everyone at first was nice, the front desk and the male nurse.........................................Then a rude DOCTOR came to my room and just before, then we started to talk.........................The male nurse yell across the ER room ( which everyone in the ER could heard ) Of my private medical problems, like it was nothing. I said to the Doctor, that's not cool at all................The doctor said ( not caring at all ) It's alright.......Then rudely said, stand up !!!! after first saying get up ( I thought he meant, get up in bed ) The doctor went on the check , my ear that had been bleeding 6 to 7 hours the night before. Then he said rudely and raised his voice to me, after I asked how did this happen, for the 2nd time ( ear drum ruptured) HE SAID BACK, YOU DID IT, YOU JUST TOLD ME YOU PUT YOUR FINGER IN YOUR EAR, I SAID, I DIDN'T PUNCHER MYSELF, I WAS ASKING HOW COULD IT HAPPEN . LONG STORY SHORT THE MALE NURSE RETURNED, I SAID NICELY ,THAT I TOLD THE DR THAT IT WASN'T COOL OF YOU TO SAID LOUDLY, MY PERSONAL MEDICAL INFORMATION , ACROSS THE WHOLE ER, HE SAID IT'S OK, NO ONE IS HERE, WHICH WAS A LIE, AS I COUNTED 6 PEOPLE IN MY AREA, NOT SEEING BEHIND OTHER CURTAINS. I ALSO SAID , AFTER THE NURSE ASKED ME ABOUT MY EAR AND THE DOCTOR VISIT, (I SAID THE DOCTOR WAS A DICK AND WOULDN'T ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. I ALSO SAID I WAS JUST HERE 3 MONTHS AGO, AND EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING WAS GREAT, AND I HAD BEEN COMING HERE FOR 40 YEARS....THE NURSE WAS NICE AND SAID I UNDERSTAND, I SAID NO YOU DON'T, OR YOU WOULDN'T OF YELLED MY PERSONAL MEDICAL INFORMATION FOR EVERYONE YOU HERE. I SAID I'M STILL TRYING TO DEAL WITH MY DISEASE AND ITS VERY HARD TO ACCEPT AND DEAL WITH IT AND STILLS UPSETS ME, AND YOU SHOULD THINK ABOUT NOT DOING THIS, AS YOU NEVER KNOW , HOW THE NEXT PERSON WILL ACT OR FEEL, ABOUT THIS. HE SAID AGAIN, I'M SORRY. HE LEFT THE ROOM AND ACROSS THE ER, I HEARD MALE NURSE TELL THE DOCTOR, WHAT I JUST TOLD HIM AND THE DOCTOR REPLIED....... OH WELL YOU CAN'T MAKE EVERYONE HAPPY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING, THE DOCTOR & NURSE HAD NO RESPECT OF MY MEDICAL PRIVACY. THE DOCTOR DIDN'T ANSWER MY QUESTIONS, DIDN'T ASK ME ABOUT ANY SYMPTOMS, OR ANY INFORM ME OF HEALING TIME, NOTHING BUT WE WILL PUT A COTTON BALL IN YOUR EAR AND GIVE YOU SOME PILLS........SO AT THIS POINT, I WAS SO UPSET........................I JUST LEFT WITHOUT MY PAPERS AND PRESCRIPTIONS...................I FELT SO DISRESPECTED,UPSET, STARTED TO CRY, AS I TRIED TO INFORM THEM, I WASN'T OK WITH EVERYONE, KNOWING MY PERSONAL MEDICAL INFORMATION.................AND THE ONLY THING I GOT IN RETURN WAS ITS OK........................AFTER 40 YEARS LIVING IN ORANGE AND GOING TO CHAPMAN HOSPITAL...................I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND WILL TAKE LEGAL ACTION TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING TO ANYONE ELSE............AS WE HAVE .......AS PATIENTS HAVE PRIVACY RIGHTS...................AND WE ALL SHOULD HAVE AND BE GIVEN THE EQUAL TREATMENT AND RESPECT............NO MATTER WHAT,YOUR ILLNESS IS PERIOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ZERO STARS. We came here in an ambulance and I would not recommend coming here unless you are ACTUALLY dying. The nurses are very rude and unprofessional, shoving address forms at me while I'm trying to talk to the ER doctor about an urgent illness my sibling had.

There's a nurse named Sue in the ER (Heavy, older, blonde woman) who was incredibly rude from the second we walked in. I was extremely polite to her from the beginning and she was abrupt in asking questions then cut me off almost immediately after I started answering.

In addition, the doctor misdiagnosed my brother entirely, sending him home even though he could not use his legs, telling him to "Just take an ibuprofen". He dismissed our case like it was a simple sneeze and you could tell they wanted nothing but to get us out even though there seemed to only be one other person in the ER.

Also this place is so tiny they have their CT scan machines in a portable (like the ones from middle school) so you have to freeze outside on your way to get the scan. Do yourself a favor and just go somewhere else.

Supervising nurse in the ER is rude and vindictive Ambulance brought my husband here and she made me wait 30 minutes while other patients' family members were going in and out. I am certain this was because I reported her abrasive behavior to management the last time we had to go to Chapman. We waited the ER 12 HOURS before he was sent to a room and he was stable for all that time. Kind of makes you think they were trying to build some ER $$? I agree with most of the other remarks regarding this hospital. Some staff are nice, but if it's serious condition, go to St. Joes.

Horrible! My 92 year old dad was admitted into the hospital for a fender bender and was kept for 11 days despite the fact that he was fine. They put him in the psych ward because he started getting upset with them for not releasing him. We never could talk to his doctor. Very kafkaesque

I came in sometime last month to get an MRI done for my surgery. I had a pleasure of seeing a young lady Ashley in the admitting department one more time since my last visit. I appreciate her smile and kindness and patience with how she manages to do her work. I understand it has been a very hard 2020 for everyone including myself and to go to a hospital where you feel welcomed by the person in the front it makes a great difference. With this said, thank you Ashley for making a difference in this hospital, you are definitely one of those people that make a difference in this world, keep smiling!

These negative reviews comparing Chapman to St Joe's are all wrong, and I say that as someone born at St Joe's. I wouldn't rule out St Joe's but even though it is fancier looking than Chapman, Chapman is an excellent facility.

Family was admitted and I must say this place is horrible we was here for 6 days. I stayed and witness everything I am about to say... The doctors come and speak to the patient without reading the chart. I have to update the doctors (ALL) of them from 4 different specialties. multiple doctors covering for each other STILL not reading the charts before coming to speak with the patient. They even told me I don't know I have to look at he chart. So I told them to do so before coming in the room. The nurses RN are in competent. They don't check their patients or respond to the call light. Several patients had been Lncursing and going off on the nurses. One nurse said "Stop calling me them". Another patient discharged himself because he was treated so badly. I had nurses leave medication out forgetting to give it to the Patient. Out of about 8 nurses one 2 know her job and was over worked. The CNA are lazy uncaring and do unless than half there job. I am CONFUSED on how this place is still running. They ran out of blankets and the place is beyond cold, colder then normal hospital. One nurse stated to me "Sorry this hospital is poor". I only gave the one star because I couldn't leave a review unless I did. They don't deserve to be give half of a star..... Whoever come here please have someone with you and have them stay with you around the clock.

Had a simple carpal tunnel release outpatient surgery here on April 5 performed by Dr Grant Robichauex .Within 24 hours I was admitted to ST Joseph with massive infection. They found either plastic or skin in wound. It did not survive processing. I spent 14 days in hospital at St Joseph to try and get rid of infection. Had 4 surgerys with 2 different wound vacs. Still having another surgery to try and acquire feelings in my 3 fingers.
Dr Robichauex and Ron Galonsky the CEO of Chapman are aware. Dr Robichauex could not even call back after told I was in hospital. Ron Galonsky was so concerned and oh what can we do until he found I couldnt sue so basically said screw you! Ron said he would reimburse for the outpatient charge I paid but havent seen that. My insurance has paid over $100,000 to St Joseph and I have paid $6000 of my share to St Joseph. So DO NOT go to Chapman Global and Do NOT go to Dr Grant Robichauex. I will post pics of how large the wound was to get rid of infection and the amount of stitches.

Came in today and so far it's not looking good. 3 employees came into work and into the building without masks and no one stopped them. Security guard in the building wearing his masks but not over his nose, just over his mouth. The front desk receptionist has her mask on but it's pulled down all the way under her chin. And I'm supposed to be getting surgery here...I feel so safe

If I was able to give this place a -5 stars I would. In June of 2013 I went to the ER, was in a lot of pain and didn't think I would be able to make it to my regular provider. The whole staff was incredibly unpleasantness and rude. I sat in my own room from 2 hours before a doctor to see me for 5 minutes, (BTW the place was empty) and prescribe me with antibiotics that ended up making me worse. I payed $100 for the medication (insane) and a $50 co-pay. A Month after i went to their facilities I received a bill for $50 stating I never payed my co-pay. I called and called this place telling them I made my payments and that I didn't owe them anything. Shortly there after I received a notice stating my bill had been set to collections. This place is a joke! They treat people like crap and they can't seem to keep track of their finance either.

Quick service. No waiting for hours like other places. Not the best place for real emergencies . A good place to go for non life threating ordeals. I came in with horrible gas.Had an accident in the waiting room twice. My service dog cleaned that up before the janitor could. Was given a muscle relaxer that really set me off. I left in clean gown and man that place probably still stinks. I would go back again if they let me.

Read the reviews. They speak for themselves. I think the worst thing about this hospital is the fact that the staff knows they are horrible and just simply DO NOT CARE. After my experience here and then being transfered to their south coast hospital and reading the other reviews, these hospitals should be Boycotted and sued. Anyone up for a class action?

Was seen today and Dr. David Thomas was amazing! The nurse who started my iv could've been a little more gentle and actually come back to connect me to my IV fluids after CT. But she didn't, and to my surprise Dr. Thomas did! He treats you like a human being, not just like a number like st. Joseph does. I definetly recommend this hospital to family and friends.
